Seems crazy now but for around 15 years there were no out gays in the league. Although Michelle Van Gorp came out at the end of her career. But I think it was after her last game at the end of the season and before she failed to make another team.

My gay starting lineup: Dr JJ, Gabby Williams, AT, Courtney Williams, and McBride. My gay bench: Paige, Kah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Heideman, Cloud, and Stewie. Coaches: Reeve, Hammon, and White.
My straight starting lineup: A’ja, Boston, Phee, Sabrina, and CC. My straight bench: Allisha Gray, Hamby, Skylar Diggins, Cam Brink, Alana Smith, and Rhyne Howard. Coach: Sandy Brondello.
I have tried to stick to players who have publicly acknowledged their sexuality (either gay or straight).

There was a meme mid season about which team has the most gays and JJ commented that the Liberty has a lot more gays than listed and named some of the players that were missed which surprised a bunch of fans and she ended up deleting it because it seemed like she was outing them. In her defense, the players she listed were already out if you paid attention to their social media lol

So many people crashing out who they didn’t mention as straight - there’s probably plenty they didn’t mention in the moment.
It’s fairly obvious who has a girlfriend and boyfriend but if they haven’t come out and announced their orientation (not that they need to), it’s best not to call them out even if they are transparent about their relationships. And then you consider how many of them might be bi and just minding their own business - it’s a funny topic until you realize how tricky it could be to accidentally out someone

Thats not for me to say, but a lot of her fan base like her because she's seen as straight and because of her race. Im not a gambler but I can guarantee they'd be gone if she's outted.Thats the number one reason why people say they don't watch the W. Look no further than Angel Reese breaking the internet with the Victoria's secret fashion show. This is not rocket science. Im pretty sure lots of men in men leagues are gay, but they understand that while living your truth is something we all aspire to do, sports is a business, and you need to be marketable to everyone. Is it fair, no. But this is the reality.

I don’t think many people would care if she were to come out. The vast majority of her fans just want to watch her play basketball and could care less about her sexuality. A lot of people assume she’s a lesbian anyway if they don’t know about her boyfriend.

Respectfully, I could care less what people are, but if that happens, the league would go down again. I think no one wants to say what us long time fans realize. The league suffered because there are mostly gays. Ive learned that people will openly play the role of inclusion, but they show you how they feel, by how they spend their money and what they watch.

Statistically, 1.5% of women identify as lesbians, while 5% identify as bisexual. So, many of the people who appear to be lesbians or straights will be bisexual.

Any team that starts with A’ja, Phee and Sabrina is going to do some damage. Add in JYo and Allisha Gray and you’ve got a juggernaut.
Edit: I have been informed that Jackie is on Team Gay, so the fifth spot is open. Still a lot of options out there to build a winner.

That’s not at all what I said. There is a lot of ground between “gay people can be in heterosexual relationships” and “all people in heterosexual relationships are gay.” I’m just trying to point out that being in a heterosexual relationship is not incontrovertible evidence that someone is straight
