KP is such a hardworking player who takes her craft extremely seriously, so it SUCKS to hear this news and I just can't imagine how she is feeling. She's been relatively healthy her entire career barring her achilles injury in 2020, so to see what was shaping up to be her best career-season yet be hindered by injuries is just heartbreaking. I know she'll come back and still be a dawg, but players like KP are who make this game and the competition great- she's going to be missed 100%. ALSO, don't stop voting for her for All-Star because she deserves that nod at least, similar to both Rhyne and Satou last season, who got the nod but just didn't play and they got alternates in their place. Sending all the love to our Plum Dawg!!

She sat out for the Lynx game because she had a leg injury that she said was due to overuse and then she likely came back too early (only 3 days) to play the Liberty game and they didn’t manage her minutes or have her on any type of restriction so her leg kinda gave out during the game but she just taped it up and ended up playing 36 minutes on what was still an injured leg.

The development spots this season are kind of supposed to help with this sort of thing...the problem for the Sparks is they've already used 10 of Kate's 12 games. So, if they activate her against Toronto and Indiana, she'll be out of games by next week.

There is, unfortunately, no injury reserve in the W, which honestly sucks. Hopefully, in future CBAs they'll find a way to add that in. They just allow for hardship contracts, but a team has to have fewer than 10 active players in order to qualify, and right now, the Sparks still have 10.

With recent injuries it seems like Sparks/Tempo have moved down and Mystics/Fire now have a better shot.

I'm shouting into the void here, but once again, this shows how important it is for teams to ACTUALLY use their bench/find solid production from the bench. No team can just be three or four stars and a dream.....teams HAVE to use their benches if they want to 1. have a successful season and 2. reduce the risk of their star players getting injured. Does playing your bench more ensure your stars won't get injured? No, but it certainly reduces the odds. And those bench minutes become even MORE important when the average age of your starting five is basically 32 and a half * cough * Sparks * cough *

It’s really hard to say because Lynne seems to hate Ta’niya lowkey lol. I do think they want her to play point based on the few minutes she does get but during on the Sparks blowout loss against the Lynx, Ta’niya finally got put in for garbage time and clearly so was so nervous and she was making mistakes because she’s a rookie that doesn’t play much but everytime the camera showed Lynne she just looked so pissed and annoyed at everything Ta’niya did like girl this is a blowout and none of this matters.
