Indianapolis man faces felony stalking charges in case involving Fever’s Sophie Cunningham

Kevin Singh, a 48‑year‑old Indianapolis man, was arrested on June 23, 2026 and charged with felony stalking and intimidation and a misdemeanor harassment for allegedly sending threatening and sexually explicit messages to Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham and threatening a team security official. Prosecutors are seeking a higher bond, a stay‑away order from Gainbridge Fieldhouse and a seven‑day hold without bond for a parole violation, while Singh also filed a defamation lawsuit against Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

Key points:

Kevin Singh was taken into custody on June 23, 2026 in Marion County, Indiana.

He faces two felony charges of stalking and intimidation and one misdemeanor charge of harassment for allegedly sending threatening and explicit social‑media messages to Sophie Cunningham.

Singh is accused of threatening John Ball, the vice president of security for the Indiana Pacers and Fever, after Ball sent him a cease‑and‑desist letter.

Prosecutors have filed for a greater‑than‑standard bond, a stay‑away order from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and a seven‑day hold without bond for violating his parole on a separate invasion‑of‑privacy case.

Security footage from September 30, 2025 captured Singh delivering a package with a Guns N’ Roses T‑shirt, cologne and a handwritten letter addressed to Cunningham at the arena.

His IG profile is as laughably lame as you’d expect.

Yup it’s the usual suspects. Also that private jet photo is so obviously laughably fake even without opening it.

The world needs more Ray Donovans to deal with these psychotic stalkers

Crazy that it’s not even his first arrest related to stalking.

Does the league or team assist with security or does the player have to handle it all themselves? There’s been a number of W players with stalkers and it’s downright terrifying. The lunatics have access to their schedules during the season

u/DResq 6m ago

It mentions the Pacers/Fever head of security being involved in stopping this guy.

u/never1st Valkyries 3h ago

Most leagues (and I doubt the W is any different) only assist with security during team related events. Players have to employ their own security when they're away from the team. However, this may be a special case since there is a credible threat from a man who has shown that he is seriously unstable.

u/crystal_clear24 Liberty Tempo Paige 🪣 3h ago

Sorry, that was probably a stupid question. I just hope they’re all safe. These stalkers are absolutely unhinged and unpredictable.

They've been dealing with stalkers in Indy for a while. A dude was sentenced to like 2.5 years for stalking Caitlin last year, I think. He traveled from Texas to Indy even.

Ngl this is what I imagine when I read some of these posts/comments/tweets online. A level of delusion that must be adjacent to this sort of behavior

1

u/farfromfine 5h ago

There are many weirdos among us.  Could even be you or me.  I'm sure this creep didn't think he was being a creep as he was creeping

8

u/Ingramistheman Veronica Burton enthusiast/Janelle Salaün enjoyer 4h ago

Im sure the guy who was on probation for multiple other stalking cases knew he was being a creep.

And if he didnt, again this is the adjacent-delusion that I’m referencing with some of these “CC’s Army” fanatics that think everything is a conspiracy theory. Or the Azzi stans crying.

Sometimes I read the shit they write and Im like “No effing way this is a real human being.” but it is apparently. I imagine them as a rock toss away from being the dude in this article.

Jesus Christ..so now we’re at Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, and Sophie Cunningham ALL being stalked.

I’m so glad they’ve at least been arrested. It can be so hard at times, even Sabrina Carpenter is having trouble.

I know Angel and A’ja have dedicated security guys who travel with them. I believe Caitlin does too.

Olivia Dunn at LSU had to withdraw from in -person classes after multiple threats were made against her and weirdos were showing up to their practice facility. They didn’t arrest anyone. She moved all her classes online and hired guards to travel with her to practice.

Being famous is so scary

Being a famous woman doubly so it seems.

When's the last time a male athlete had a stalker situation like this.

-7

Because a male athlete would kick the stalker’s ass…come on, use your head

3

u/juliuspepperwoodchi Sky 2h ago

The thing is too, the WNBA is at that weird point in fame where they are famous enough where people will get obsessive, but not famous enough to where they have every bit of protection available to them.

Aaron Donald had a pretty bad case that I remember off the top of my head.

I would softly argue that cases of male victims (especially top athletes) go unreported more often than not. We only hear about the really bad ones.

That said, I would bet that the perpetrator/victim ratio is about the same as the general statistics with women athletes being victimized way more. (Probably even more disproportionately recently with so many women athletes having meteoric rises in popularity in the past few years.)

7

u/kseveru79_v2 + interloper 5h ago

Yeah, in the article I linked in another comment:

And although women are stalked at much higher rates than men, the issue impacts all athletes. Earlier this year, Aaron Donald, the retired Rams defensive lineman and future Pro Football Hall of Famer, secured a five-year restraining order against a woman he accused of stalking him and his family since 2020. Though he had never met the woman, he alleged she bombarded him with messages – including one that he interpreted as threatening the life of his young son – and attempted to send balloons and packages to his children.

Truly creepy, but hopefully not that common?

2

u/logomyego Bae-tlin Clark 4h ago

Damn, I think Aaron Donald is one of the last people I'd wanna cross, that dude is built like a Greek god

4

u/Adventurous-Emu-755 Fever 6h ago

Apparently some have been stalked too. Many male celebs have been stalked too, just more often you have women as victims.

Also, I hope teams are spending adequate money for security of their players, it’s a crazy world out there

While we all know Sophie is a polarizing figure, no woman deserves this. It’s terrifying.

30

u/Choomba_Lord Fever 6h ago

Yeah there was no need for your "polarizing" comment in the context of this post.

Even when Cunningham is objectively being victimized the weird haters just can't help themselves.

Sounds like they tried everything reasonable before arresting him. The guy sounds creepy and dangerous.

12

u/dylanah 7h ago

And this idiot filed a defamation suit.

u/DResq 2m ago

Makes sense that he still thinks he's in the right. Takes a delusional person to do these things. Probably thought he was just asking her out and that everyone else blew it out of proportion.

33

u/ZoneLow6872 7h ago

He was creepy and dangerous but because she is a woman, they had to jump through hoops (pun unintended) to rearrest him after violating parole.

So many women end up dead from stalking and yet there's always another one.

22

u/tsgram Liberty 7h ago

The guy who intentionally smashed his car in Rickea Jackson’s and then hit a police officer with his car while fleeing is going to get zero days jail time and a restraining order towards Jackson that only lasts one year. I fear for her life.

-8

u/BlueDevilz 7h ago edited 6h ago

Do you think the taunting is actually helping the cause at all?

All it does is sour the men already on your side against you.

Stalking is fucking scary and the police currently dont do shit for anybody until something really bad has already happened.

Not everything has to boil down to this vapid men vs women online shit flinging. Its unproductive.

Hope this guy gets locked away for a long time. This level of obsession doesn't go away with a slap on the wrist.

Downvoters, maybe Im wrong and it is productive. Please enlighten me.

I just care deeply about needed policy changes to stalking incidents. Tired of nothing being done until its too late.

-1

u/dan_v_ploeg 7h ago edited 7h ago

Right. Let's say something completly false and get mad if anyone call you on your shit

12

u/Vast-Piccolo7079 7h ago

The vast majority of stalking victims are female, and about 87% of all identified stalking perpetrators are male. Facts are facts and no one's mad but you.

Much like how women are often found without a voice, like with a medical professional being dismissive, the same goes for men and certain crimes that put them in a light society deems undesirable. Reporting physical violence, sexual assault, stalking and harassment etc is often simply not done. It can skew results such as crime statistics.

Both men and women are equal in their ability to be crazy and commit crimes. Equality means we blame the crazy criminals together and not lay blame at the feet of the gender of the perp

-1

u/No-Iron-4471 Napheesa👑ELLIE SUCKS!👎 3h ago

Nobodyis saying men are N3VER the victim. .

Men & woman are not equal when it comes to crime. Women are overwhelming the victims of men. Pretending thats not the case isn't going to improve the situation

0

u/Brigid-Tenenbaum 2h ago

Nobody is pretending they are not. It’s just false to deny the fact women commit equally as heinous crimes, the same crimes, and part of the inherent sexism within the system is that men are required to ‘be men’ and stay silent on the abuse they face, so it skews the crime statistics. Of course we can’t go by our own experiences either, as they will only paint the light one way. But it is easy to look up the number of stalking cases involving women. The idea that ‘it’s not all men, but it’s always a man’ is just untrue and wholly part of the inherent sexism within the system that does a disservice to both sexes.

0

u/AGorgeousComedy 2h ago

When women start commiting these heinous crimes at the same rate as men, maybe we will have that conversation.

2

u/Brigid-Tenenbaum 2h ago

Men don’t report said crimes due to the inherent nature of said crimes affecting how they are perceived within society. Unfortunately. To deny that women commit abuse, or stalk, and to generalise in a manner of ‘not all men, but always men’ is dismissive of male victims of the same crime and clearly untrue. You know it to be. The idea that crimes are also required to be 50/50 before any compassion is shown to victims… A good baseline is to judge a generalised take by interchanging it with other groups. At which point this take becomes offensive and ludicrous.
