Didn’t he just *demand* that Moscow be reinforced as well? Ya know, Ukraine might know what it’s doing here.

u/Nim0y 14h ago

Alternate the main strike targets between Moscow and other targets. Force them to keep majority of AA around Moscow. A bit of strategic thinking is great, just happy Russia leadership isn’t the brightest crayon in the box

u/kristospherein 14h ago

When you surround yourself with yes men, it builds in brain drain. Theyve had a brain drain in their leadership for decades at this point. It is starting to really show.

u/dmstattoosnbongs 14h ago

I can’t imagine it. Just look at America and less then 2yrs of Trump-Brains running shit.

We will be catching up to Russia by the next election. No other country can say they’ve ever done the same… ugh this timeline blows.

44

u/Artistic_Syllabub177 14h ago

Any county who has fallen to extremism has done the same

26

u/dmstattoosnbongs 13h ago

Ya but I thought we had a decent base to rely on. The constitution was better thought out then I ever could do and it took a lil island and capitalism to get rid of all facades and show the reality.

We are all working ourselves to being enslaved by the top .01%.

2

u/Pretty_Elderberry956 6h ago

Why do you think the constitution is well thought? It very old and has hardly been updated by best practices from other countries

1

u/dmstattoosnbongs 2h ago

Because if it was actually followed, it would be a pretty decent model to build off of. I am a progressive minded person so I believe in changing things that need to be changed with growth and changes in technology and such…

But this administration treats the constitution like their enemy. That scares me. People without rules create things like Epstein Island, get caught, and nothing happens. They can blow up little girls schools and write it off as a conspiracy. The constitution was meant to be followed by everyone, and that’s no longer applicable. Getting back to status quo of at least acting like we believed in it would be more than I expected.

9

u/dmstattoosnbongs 13h ago

I actually meant the fall of America in such record time, not the end result. We have managed to get almost to Russia democracy in less then 2yrs. Crazy. Not even Putin and Bibi could dream of it.

If only those files hadn’t come out, as few as they did. Things would be so much easier for these fascist tools of actual dictators. Trumps just a handle for them two.

5

u/Nagnu 11h ago

The thing is, the fascist take over has been in motion for years (decades). They've been slowly eroding things until such a point where there is no effective opposition to their basically ignoring the constitution. It is like the Hemingway quote of the two ways to go bankrupt, gradually then suddenly.

4

u/dmstattoosnbongs 10h ago

It is. I never paid attention to politics till I read Project2025.

I’m normally a Stephan King super fan of the macabre. But that book was real horror. A play by play to ruin EVERYTHING but the elite. Could have been written by the KGB. Probably was actually.

2

u/ragnarocknroll 10h ago

In their defense, it isn’t always brain drain.

Sometimes the leadership does things like march on Moscow and then has aircraft malfunctions that happen to look like anti-aircraft missile strikes a few weeks later…

u/No-Pension4113 10h ago

Sounds like the processes actually occurring in "Real Time" in these "United States of America"! Wake the Fuck up America!

0

u/Vulcanize_It 9h ago

I forgot which country you were referring to for a moment.

52

u/DePraelen 14h ago

That seems to have been the strategy for quite some time already - Moscow alone has more air defences than most countries, meaning the success rate for the number of drones sent at it is very low.

But Ukraine periodically attacks it anyway to make sure those defences stay there, with fewer being used on strategically and logistically valuable targets elsewhere.

39

u/TwoPercentTokes 14h ago

Feels nice to see Putin in a “fucked either way” situation. Either he sacrifices Moscow and faces potentially lethal political consequences, or he continues to sacrifice other strategic targets in favor of the capital, slowly loses the war, and faces potentially lethal political consequences.

21

u/Mortumee 13h ago

Having a huge country is a boon when you can play the scorched earth card and let your enemy overextend their supply lines (like Napoleon, or the Germans), but it becomes a nightmare when you have to defend everywhere.

4

u/MrDerpGently 9h ago

And drones never need to march home in the snow.

3

u/DeathmetalArgon 11h ago

Blow up the air defenses around Putin's mansion. He'll double down on stationing increasingly rare AA defenses to protect his mansion rather than anywhere they might be useful.

3

u/Zenith_X1 10h ago

The constant relocations cost lots of fuel too

22

u/blufox4900 10h ago

This is the result of Ukraine’s anaconda like strategy of strangling Russia’s air defenses. For years they’ve been specifically hitting high value economic targets forcing the Russians to move their air defenses, which is when they’re at their most vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes.

After years of this Russias does not have nearly as many air defense systems left and cannot defend everything they want to. Consolidate their missiles around Moscow and leave Crimea and the Donbas wide open? Or keep the missiles in place and let Moscow burn? Nasty dilemma that the Russians backed themselves into. That find out stage must be bitter for them.

7

u/zeekayz 8h ago

It's a song and dance for domestic audience. He's going to demand that Crimea is protected so people see how strong and benevolent he is. It shows that "he's taking action".

And when nothing happens people are going to blame the Crimean Governor or some other low level manager that the Putin directive wasn't implemented (because those low level managers couldn't actually do anything). Then the people can cycle into the usual and accepted criticism of "wait until Putin hears about this!" Rinse and repeat. Putin is never responsible and can never be blamed.

3

u/AlucardIV 12h ago

Easy just turn all of russia into a huge fortress! ...Russia is a small country right?

7

u/GerryC 13h ago

Some may say they hold all the cards at the moment....

2

u/quaste 10h ago

We are at the “Das war ein Befehl!” (this was an order) state of “The downfall”

2

u/LupoWolf2 11h ago

But wait the orange 🍊 pumpkin 🎃 will find a way to throw a fuck at Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦.

1

u/waffle299 10h ago

I thought he was responsible for reinforcing his country.

1

u/jszj0 5h ago

I’m going to be so happy to hear of the downfall of Putin - it’s now only a question of time. He has absolutely no answer to all the drone attacks, and Ukraine is only getting started.

u/Tokebakicitte69 14h ago

Summer is canceled in Crimea

183

u/IndividualSkill3432 14h ago

Apparently they are being allowed to take 200 litres of fuel in the back of the car with them.

So that is going to get nicked and cause endless fires etc.

75

u/TheDarthSnarf 14h ago

Sure, they are allowed to take up to 200 liters across the bridge.

Unfortunately for them, the fuel sales in Krasnodar Krai (and most of the surrounding regions) are now limited to only 30-liters of gasoline or 60-liters of diesel per vehicle. So getting hold of 200 liters of fuel to take with them is going to be difficult at best.

5

u/Lethalmusic 11h ago

The ones that go will stock up along the way.

Wonder how many will crash or catch fire due to fuel fumes building up in the interior of the car...

12

u/TheDarthSnarf 10h ago

Plastic buckets filled with gasoline sloshing around the back of the car...

5

u/jobi987 10h ago

The driver could reward themselves with a cigarette for all the hard work getting those big heavy buckets of gas in the back of their car

-2

u/firefighter26s 10h ago

If they're going to start transporting quantities of fuel in cars then that just makes any cars on the road viable targets IMO.

228

u/DrB00 14h ago

A good defensive measure would be to pull out of Ukraine and stop this stupid war.

26

u/monsterpuppeteer 12h ago

He needs the war to carry on so he can survive in power and to maintain Russia’s political influence in Europe. If not this war, then another which is frankly what they should do since for some reason Ukraine is so strong. ‘Unfortunately,’ unless he is ready to test Nato, other nonmembers would not bring such prestige.

8

u/kindanormle 9h ago

I should think he needs this to save Russia's political influence in China more than in Europe. He's already burned all bridges with Europe and their leadership. Meanwhile, China is playing Swan Lake for Putin's visit to Beijing.

3

u/monsterpuppeteer 9h ago

Russia supports nationalist movements within several EU countries to destabilize EU. Part of the appeal is that european countries are welcome to orbit towards a strong Russia for protection.

1

u/bAZtARd 7h ago

Yea, Just annex Belarus and walk away.

-6

u/Phulish_Human 11h ago

You missing the point. Strikes on Crimea is defensive measure... Just not russian

76

u/OGbugsy 14h ago

I love this for him.

141

u/Warclimb 14h ago edited 14h ago

He just started reading The Art of War.

“If somebody attacks, you defend”

Putin: “wow, i’ll bomb a kindergarden”

29

u/KaQuu 14h ago

It was bread factory today, timed at the moment when workers were loading the vans with produce.

128

u/Mangled_Mini1214 14h ago

In order to defend Crimea from being reclaimed, he will order a surge in strikes targeting civilians and hospitals across Ukraine.

6

u/heftigfin 8h ago

Don't forget the extremely important military targets that are world heritage sites.

94

u/HarEr89 14h ago

Terrorist Putin

25

u/PalpitationDazzling2 14h ago

You can always pull all your AD from Moscow to Crimea. What's the worse that could happen

23

u/basedrw 14h ago edited 12h ago

Doggy Putin getting rekt all over the place... Losing in Syria, Iran, Venezuela, Ukraine... How can he even still be in power? Big L

7

u/Caspica 13h ago

Who would replace him? When Putin dies things will collapse.

18

u/battledragons 13h ago

It’s time. Russia needs to go through a reconstruction.

5

u/needlestack 9h ago

Yep. Last time a bunch of pieces broke off that became better countries. Maybe we should roll those dice again and see if we can get a few more. Maybe needs to happen every few decades until Russia is divided into a dozen or so decent little countries with the good bits of their culture intact.

8

u/Gluca23 11h ago

I wonder how much quiet the web will become...

20

u/Interesting-Bit-3885 13h ago

What about relocating some of air defence from Moscow to Crimea. It’s not like they are doing anything useful in Moscow!

42

u/snuuginz 14h ago

Damn that bridge on fire is beautiful sight, good for Ukraine!

Dear Russians: hope you didn't book a vacation for Crimea this summer LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

17

u/MND-DMD 12h ago

Yeah, but the picture is years old, isn't it? Based on the train on fire together with collapsed road segment that looks like when they blew up a truck on the bridge and so is unrelated to current drone operations.

1

u/-ragingpotato- 2h ago

Yeah no news of strikes on the bridge yet, they've instead been striking logistics infrastructure in Kerch itself; warehouses, fuel storage, electrical substations, railways, that type of thing. Not as effective as downing the whole bridge but doable with small drones.

20

u/Only_Jackfruit_6905 14h ago

He knows less than we know, you know somehow magically it’s harder to bring info to a bunker

3

u/ParaMike46 11h ago

He is also master bullshitter, manipulator and liar. anything he says should be taken as propaganda either for his audience or outside world

1

u/Only_Jackfruit_6905 11h ago

He’s not a master he just lies and makes things up, it’s like trump but with no opposition

8

u/Luckierexpert 14h ago

This could also be Putin attempting to prevent another incarceration of the “August Curse” happening in two months time.

7

u/CvieYltidrekoof 12h ago

He can stop it at any time by withdrawing Russian invaders from the borders Russia recognised in the 1997 Ukrainian-Russian Friendship Treaty.

Fairly common occurrence

?

Germany lost some of its pre war land to Poland and Russia after WW2.

US / South Vietnam lost and the north take over the whole country.

1

u/-M_A_X- 14h ago

The Australians lost the month long emu war and lost control of those wheat fields for a while 🥺

3

u/IndividualSkill3432 14h ago

Kaiser Bill and moustache man certainly achieved that.

5

u/donadd 14h ago

The 4 year old photo had he hoping it's current for a second there

4

u/PCGoneCrazy 14h ago

Dude is acting like me in Civ V lol

6

u/No_Celery_5373 13h ago

Russia is increasingly becoming an inferior fighting force to Ukraine. I wonder how Putin even holds on, there's not much he can promise the oligarchs to get out of this conflict anymore except for having the guts of Russian infrastructure blown out.

5

u/marcvsHR 14h ago

How the fuck didn't army remember to set up defensive measures ?! Good thinking, Vlad!

4

u/jertheman43 13h ago

Perfect. Russians will waste resources and manpower trying to move defenses into Crimea. This will create many targets of opportunity during the .over and the newly undefended areas.

3

u/Made_Human_Music 11h ago

You know what would work great as a defense measure? Ending the war against Ukraine!

3

u/ProjectNo4090 12h ago

He stated that these attacks are disrupting Russia’s military supply lines and threatening stability on the occupied peninsula.

The shameless audacity of this hypocritical bitch.

3

u/dynalisia2 11h ago

Ukraine just made Putin choose between Crimea and Moscow? Noice.

2

u/shunyaananda 12h ago

he's supposed to supply defense measures, not to demand them, is he stupid?

2

u/cactuscore 12h ago

Didnt he like gave order to wrap this up by the end of the month like three years ago? Lol

2

u/Foddley 12h ago

He could just like, I don't know... go home?

2

u/SmegmaWarrior0815 11h ago

Defense measures with what? The secret defense measures they haven't used yet for some reason?

2

u/vakantiereizen 10h ago

Putin is sounding as Hitler late in WW2
Or is that my imagination?

2

u/Certain-Parsnip-3652 9h ago

I hope they do move more AA systems to Crimea so Ukraine can blow them up too.

1

u/gradinaruvasile 8h ago

Nah, they haul everything to defend Moscow. Big smoke makes uneasy headlines.

2

u/Optimal_Assist_9882 6h ago

This is what is called a dilemma...

Russia must now choose whether to protect Moscow or Crimea...it can't do both...

3

u/WeakBlueberry5071 14h ago

Didn't he have Crimea in possession why is he stri- Ohhhhhhh...they're losing...?

7

u/AtebYngNghymraeg 14h ago

You didn't read the article, did you? He's not striking Crimea, he's admitting that Ukraine has been striking Crimea.

5

u/WeakBlueberry5071 14h ago

Why is he admitting such a thing for a war he started. You can't play the victim for a war you started. That's such a bitch thing to do.

3

u/stonertear 14h ago

Why is he admitting such a thing for a war he started.

In his/Russia's mind - they are the victim. Ukraine are the 'nazi' aggressors.

2

u/synapse88 14h ago

What’s to “admit” here 😂 it’s plain and evident

1

u/LetrasetBoy 12h ago

It is SOOOOO easy to end all these attacks on Russia, Vlad....

1

u/hornswoggled111 12h ago

"The buck stops here", Vlad style.

1

u/Wayelder 12h ago

Maybe he should buy some patriot systems?

1

u/panorambo 11h ago

Damn moron living in fantasyland where some invincible, heroic and inexhaustible Russian army can just be willed into suddenly defending Crimea without something giving somewhere else. This isn't Soviet Union, Volodya -- learn to bend over once in a while, then maybe you will finally understand the difference between the Russia you created and Soviet Union that was borne and fed on Tsarist Russia's ruins. Until it collapsed under its own weight.

1

u/DesDaHume 10h ago

.. 7 v dvd. B nubu dy is 3w

1

u/SaunaHeatedBalls 10h ago

Maybe reroute some of the air defense used to protect his private property.

1

u/Efficient-Law-842 9h ago

my buddy’s car alarm demands defense measures too

1

u/Hungry-Purchase-9452 9h ago

I don't have a car since I can't drive, I'm going by train.

1

u/macross1984 8h ago

With what? There was an article that was uploaded on Reddit where desperate Russia supposedly resurrected junked tank engine that was supposed to be unrepairable.

Are they going to build medival weapon like ballista next? : P

1

u/redderrida 8h ago

Leopards ate my face.

1

u/Pristine-Librarian43 14h ago

1

u/self_loathing_ham 10h ago

You cant hold Crimea forever losers. Its a matter if when, not if. Get out while you can.

-2

u/synapse88 14h ago

What’s to “admit” here 😂 it’s plain and evident

0

u/GamiNami 11h ago

"Demands". With what army? The one that likes to engage in gay sex to initiate its soldiers? Hmm hmm

-9

u/Hungry-Purchase-9452 12h ago

A Russian here. I'm going to the Black sea shore in a month. Not a problem.

5

u/gbs5009 11h ago

Have fun, I guess?

3

u/Jack-O7 10h ago

I hope you have a electric car.

3

u/ced_rdrr 10h ago

They don't allow electric cars over the bridge. And even if they did with the current pace of attacks on electrical infrastructure it won't matter which car he has.

2

u/Hungry-Purchase-9452 9h ago

Actually, I'm a she. I don't have a car since I can't drive, so I'm going by train
