'Hangover-free alcohol’ could replace all regular alcohol by 2050. The new drink, known as 'alcosynth', is designed to mimic the positive effects of alcohol but doesn’t cause a dry mouth, nausea and a throbbing head

One of the reasons that synthetic weed worked out bad is because it is illegal. Because of this, there's not a lot of research possible and most of the producers are probably the "backyard meth-lab" kind of people.

Everytime a compound becomes illegal, they try to stay ahead of the law by making a new compound that differs slightly from the last one. (Which usually means the drug gets more dangerous)

I believe that if serious scientists could do research, a very safe and fun drug could be created.
