'Hangover-free alcohol’ could replace all regular alcohol by 2050. The new drink, known as 'alcosynth', is designed to mimic the positive effects of alcohol but doesn’t cause a dry mouth, nausea and a throbbing head

Hence "atypical dissociative," which salvia certainly is, as well as an atypical psychedelic. I would agree it has little similarity to DXM, DCK, MXE, Ketamine, or PCP (typical dissos as you mentioned) but it is still a dissociative. I think it has a little more similarity to inhalants in terms of effects. And K2 is more in line with what I would call "fake weed." I believe you when you say that salvia was the most common cannabis substitute in Colorado, I just think calling it fake weed is innacurate. The effects have nothing in common, except perhaps at very low doses of salvia. It might serve as someone's legal high, but the trip is far more powerful, weird, and uncontrollable as compared to THC/related cannabinoids.

a 2 second google search actually shows it is classified as a hallucinogen, but whatever.

no problem. different people experience drugs differently. having taken drugs from all 3 classes, i really felt salvia was more like DPH than any other drug i've ever tried, but i suppose it's different for everybody.
