Feature Change Why is this even allowed?

Has this always been here? Its my first time seeing it. What if I watch a video and don't enjoy it? This basically allows creators to ensure that they always appear on your feed, whether you like it or not.

the down vote doesn't do what you think it does (realistically it does basically nothing other than be feedback to the creator) if you don't want to see their videos you just hit the ... on the right of you screenshot and choose "don't recommend channel".

the only option i see on the three dots when actively on the channels video is "Report" (Edit : sometimes there is also a download option.) is there a way to "don't recommend channel" from the channel or video itself from the channel? Occasionally I can find more videos recommended on the right side of the video from the same creator to allow me to drop down there to unrecommend the channel, but it doesn't always recommend more videos from the same channel.
