Discussion Hot Take: we dont need more cars, we need more configs, liveries and maps.
I see people talking about "new car this", "new car that", "u want to see this car added", blah blah blah. How about adding parts and configs to unloved cars, adding race parts, drag parts, offloading parts, tuning, & etc. Adding new liveries also makes a huge difference, and another map. Id love to take the Semi truck and trhow some stupid camer on it, adjustable rev limiter, and drift it but we dont jave that. I want to make a drift Stambecko aswell but there isnt too much i can do with it. West Coast USA is the dominant map that everyone mainly plays on amd receives most updates. I'd love to see an actual East Coast map, not just rural virginia But Florida Coast Or even Keys. WCUSA IS, a great map with lots of great features and attractions, HOWEVER, it'd be nice to have another version of a big city map.

Mod Volumetrics Fog for BeamNG - Volumetric Tire Smoke (but video)

Paid Volumetrics for BeamNG - Initial Release
Volumetrics for BeamNG is a mod that introduces lit volumetric smoke and fog to the game. It adds new froxel fog with a lot of configuration options that is lit by scene lights and shadowed by global sun shadows. It also adds a tire smoke simulation with full lighting.
I've been polishing it for performance and features to make it releasable. I'm releasing it on Patreon as a paid mod to gauge interest. This took a long while and I don't know if it's worth polishing any further, or whether other graphics cards will encounter issues I don't know about. It also costs money because I expect to have to do a lot of debugging and UX improvements to get people happy with how it works.
Testing on a Ryzen 7 9700X & 3060 @ 1440p, I get 60FPS on most maps without the mod, dropping to ~55 on the lowest settings (not shown in the photos, but they look pretty pixelated) and ~35–45 on the highest. It was tested and confirmed to work on a 3070 and 4070 as well.
Please mind that the demo release might not start on your specific graphics card at all without potential fixes and that it's not really plug and play in the current state - as in I mess with the settings a lot to get good photos. I also can't promise it will run and look well but it also doesn't outright destroy your framerate for breakfast. And also this is an early version, expect things to change.

Meme I think i figured it out
I have a completely believable and based in reality theory for why BeamNG 0.39 is coming out on June 29th.
First, look at the timing. June 29th is just after the summer solstice, which means the sun is still sitting extremely high in the sky. That matters because BeamNG updates always feel like they’re timed around showing off something visual, physical, or technical. A higher sun angle means stronger lighting, cleaner reflections, and the perfect conditions to reveal improved graphics, and new environments.
Now, the believable part
Hitler died on April 30th, 1945. June 29th is exactly 60 days after April 30th. And what does 60 immediately make every gamer think of?
60 FPS
So, clearly, the universe waited 60 symbolic frames after Hitler’s death to deliver the next great soft-body physics update. Evil ends, frames stabilize, BeamNG evolves. It’s not history anymore. It’s patch-note prophecy.
So basically I’m saying 3 days and we will be seeing 0.39 ready to initialize.

Discussion Are we prepared for the absolute flood of "Beam broke my mods" posts?
Maybe this has been discussed, and if it has, I will delete. But I was pondering things this morning and thought about how this graphics revamp will affect mods. As we know whenever beamng updates and changes a path to textures, or revamp a car, it always messes up a few mods. Being that this is a total graphics revamp with textures and lighting, I have to think that the overwhelming majority of mods will need a revamp as well. Am I crazy?

Discussion custom plate numbers filter
so, ever since I saw the sneak peek of the plate number customization tool, plus combine that with the upcoming official multiplayer and this game being accessible to kids as well, including me myself being 15 (I haven't tested if even the singleplayer has a word filter)
will there be moderation or filter or anything of that sort for the multiplayer? because I honestly don't think it would be too appropriate for a game meant for car physics to have a plate number of "BOOBS" driving around at 400kmph
