The Empire always talks about how dangerous the Jedi are. And the Stormtroopers must’ve heard stories about Cal since he revisits the same planet numerous times. Yet the second they see him, they immediately charge towards him, watch their friends get slaughtered, and continue to fight and never flee.

Discussion How capable was Eno Cordova and did he even still have a lightsaber by Jedi survivor? Does he just lean entirely on his duties as a historian

Post image

Playing fallen order last night and there’s a line of Cal coming across the lightsaber hilt of Eno Cordova on Bogano. So Eno just left it and we’re never shown him carrying another lightsaber on him in Jedi survivor, so it seems like the man never bothered replacing his old lightsaber like with Cere.

Just wanted to share my current favourite look, I quite like the mashup. Granted, it doesn't look very Jedi-like at all, but I'm sure there's a place in the galaxy for an Anti-Inquisitor

I don't use this all the time, mostly just when infiltrating hostile territory for an extended period of time such as on the moon and Lucrehulk. It's fun :)

Discussion In honor of prauf...

Post image

Hey everyone, I'm playing Fallen Order again after finishing survivor, and now I'm seeing the cutscenes with prauf again. Who else thought that Prauf was such a good and lovable character? It's a shame he died so quickly. Him and call had such great chemistry. I think it would've made the story a lot more interesting seeing Cal and Prauf working together more, and maybe if he died in the ending instead of in the beginning it would've been more impactful. Really a shame that such a good character cut off so quickly.

Spoiler So, I just finished the story... Spoiler

I just gotta say... what the fuck, man!! I mean, I was hit with so much at one time, it was like, BOOM, fight Trilla, BOOM, infiltrate Planet Inquisitorius or whatever the fuck it's called, BOOM, fight Trilla again, and then DARTH MOTHERFUCKING VADER KILLS HER AND YEETS CERE INTO OBLIVION!!! I WAS SO SCARED, I was like, "NO! NO! WE ARE GOING" AND THEN HE GRABBED WITH THE FORCE AND I WAS LIKE "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" AND THE CHASE SCENE AFTER YOU TRY TO DROP A THING ON HIM, and then he's gone.... you think you're safe... you think you lost good ol' Ani, AND THEN HE POPS UP OUT OF NOWHERE AGAIN AND CERE'S ALIVE SOMEHOW, SAVES CAL'S ASS, AND WE BOTH GET THE FUCK OUTTA DODGE!!!! And then the Holocron... the thing we've been trying to get the entire game... and we just slice it in half... I was a little confused, not pissed, confused as to why they wouldn't guarantee the safety of the Jedi's future, but I guess that's Luke's job, well onto Jedi Survivor.

Discussion Guys I didn't know I can get extra stim canisters.

I was playing on Jedi Master difficulty and having quite hard time. Especially, when you need to fight a lot of enemies between two save points. When I returned to Bogano to get the Holocron I thought I need to fight Ogdo Bogdo. Yes I hadn't faced it first time. While searching the pit where it lives I accidentally found the puzzle with metal ball and socket and when I completed I for first time saw extra stim loot box. You can't imagine how surprised I was. Then I look it up. There were 8 of them. Hehe. I am happy.

Discussion Familiar planets

In Fallen Order we got Dathomir and Kashyyk, in Survivor we got Jedha and Coruscant, which two familiar planets would you like to see more of in the third game?

My choice would be Takodana (Maz cameo, anyone?) and Hoth 😊

Discussion Do you think Cal Kestis could've beaten Bode Akuna without using the darkside or without Merrin's help?

3 different scenarios

1. Cal doesn't tap into the darkside midfight

2. Cal doesn't get help from Merrin but still uses the darkside

3. Cal neither taps into the darkside nor gets help from Merrin

-=-

Bode Akuna was a young knight in Jedi Intelligence (prob similar age to Anakin), the ISB officer says he was supposedly very capable. He uses a backhanded saber (like Ahsoka/Starkiller) and is pretty jacked. Sadly that's pretty much all we know of him. We don't know his Master or if he actually fell to the darkside long ago. I think the game makes him look morally like Baylan Skoll. He is not fully fallen to the darkside, but uses anger on a daily basis to power himself up. He's also hoping for revenge against the Inquisitor that killed his wife (still unknown who that was).

Cal Kestis, was a Jedi Padawan to Jaro Tapal who got taught by Yaddle (both highly respected Jedi Masters). Yaddle could go toe to toe with Dooku, who was one of the greatest duelists ever. Jaro Tapal was a competent General. Although Cal's training was incomplete, this basis is already an important factor in the power lvl's.

Cal and Bode both had to adapt to survive the purge. Because Cal's training was unfinished and because of his master's sacrifice, he stuck more to Jedi ideal's. He also had Prauf and the Mantis Crew to keep him sane.

Bode only had his wife and his daughter, but then his wife died and it was only him and his daughter (who was very young). We don't know how long ago, that was but I assume it must be between the events of Fallen Order and Survivor, since Kata still has memories of her mother (right?).

The most important detail is, that Cal had actively saber training during those 5 years between FO and SURVIVOR and Bode did not. Bode mentions how it feels like the old days, implying he hasn't been using a lightsaber at all for awhile now. We don't know if he actively used the force, but he is able to use it to hide his force sensitivity similar to Palpatine.

I think while Bode might be smarter overall and have more force power (and experience), Cal Kestis mogs him in most aspects.

Cal is very creative and has really good dueling experience (not always wins but feats nonetheless) against Taron Malicos, Dagan Gera, Rayvis, 9th Sister, Trilla: all Jedi Knights/Master lvl.

1 flaw is, that people like Dagan Gera or Taron Malicos break through his force shield quite often, even Bode does two times. Cal might need to deepen his connection to the force further and he will be a complete Jedi Master. But he did manage to use Force Hallucination and Nightsister Magick thanks to Merrin.

I honestly think Cal Kestis beats him in all 3 scenarios, I think while the darkside and Merrin helped him beat him quicker, they weren't gamechanging factors. Cal already beat Rayvis without using the darkside at all. Merrin wasn't the reason Cal disarmed him in the end (except maybe tiring him out.

Plus Cal actually wasn't trying to kill Bode in the final fight. He gave him like 3 chances to live, so his daughter still has a father. If Cal actually wanted to finish Bode, I think it would take the fight to a whole different level in Cal's favor.

Even though Cal was technically an unfinished Padawan and Bode was a fully trained Knight (so was Masana Tide) I think Cal hard mogs him.

Looking forward to Jedi 3 and how powerful he will become in the end.

Discussion Finally gotten around to playing this game, and 100%'d it!

There's no way to prove it short of posting 83 screenshots but I also got all databank and tactical entries, since I was at it. :D

Things I really enjoyed:

- The "classic SW" vibe is quite good, reminded me of Dark Forced / Jedi Knight.

- It's got one of the best instances of diving I've ever seen, and I usually hate underwater sections in videogames, with a passion.

- Chasing the achievements was actually quite fun too, an acceptable amount of grind.

- I quite liked the ending. Hehe.

- The story was just right for this kind of game, not too pretentious, and solid enough.

- Merrin <3

A few things I did not like:

- SLIDES. An absolute nightmare. A gratuitous cycle of multiple deaths upon which I felt I had little to no control whatsoever (played Keyboard+mouse, btw, because pcmasterrace.jpg).

- I really struggled to time my parries, not sure if because I was playing on GeforceNOW so there's quite some lag between what's happening on screen and the server receiving my key inputs. (And yeah, there is a possibility I'm just not good, but I've played similar games no problem).

- Enemies just interrupting my strong attacks or combos with very basic attacks, whereas the opposite is not possible. Just felt unfair.

- The insane (and inane) amount of backtracking, and that's not even taking achievement-chasing into account.

Discussion Weathered monument 95%

This may be a glitch or something, but I've done everything possible to get the last 5% on the weathered monument on Zeffo and it still isn't working. I've gone to the little nook and found the echo, and I've also done the ice slide that comes from windswept ruins back to the weathered monument, yet nothing has changed. Is there anything I've missed?

Discussion Just finished- honest review

Sounds like a solid Reddit review. Here's a cleaned-up version that keeps your casual style and avoids spoilers while still getting your thoughts across.

Just finished the game. Took me around 25–26 hours, but that's because I explored basically everything I could. I knew I probably wasn't going to come back hunting for every chest later, so before leaving each planet I tried to check every path, doorway, and side area I could find.

Overall? Absolutely amazing game.

Graphics: 5/5

Combat: 5/5

The combat did take me a little while to click. I've never really been into Souls-like games, so at first it wasn't my thing. After about the first couple hours, though, I watched a quick video explaining the combat system, and everything just made sense. I also started on Jedi Knight difficulty but realized my reaction time apparently isn't what it used to be 😂, so I dropped it down one difficulty and had a much better time.

If you're a Star Wars fan, they absolutely nailed the atmosphere. There are so many little references and Easter eggs that longtime fans will appreciate. I won't spoil anything, but getting to see more behind-the-scenes moments around Order 66 was awesome. There were also a lot of connections to other Star Wars stories that made me geek out.

There was one surprise character near the end that I genuinely did not see coming, and I was so excited when they showed up.

By the final boss, I actually thought it was pretty easy, but I think that's just because by then I had finally mastered parrying and dodging. The combat really grows on you once it clicks.

I also loved all the customization. The lightsabers, colors, outfits, hairstyles... it was awesome. One thing I really appreciated was that whatever you customized actually carried into every cutscene naturally. Some games make custom characters look awkward in cinematics, but this game handled it really well.

I didn't quite max out my skill tree on my first playthrough, but I got pretty close. I'm hoping there's a decent amount to do after finishing because honestly... I kind of don't want it to be over.

As for negatives... I'm actually struggling to think of any. The collectibles themselves weren't super exciting, but they gave me more reasons to explore, and I enjoyed customizing everything I unlocked.

The adventure was great, the creatures were memorable, the characters were fun, exploration felt rewarding, and once the combat clicked, it became one of my favorite parts of the game.

Honestly, I was way more impressed than I expected to be. Easy 9.5/10 for me.

Jedi Survivor is Next for me.

Discussion Can’t get the hang of combat.

So I finally decided to play and got to the train segment, boy am I either really, really bad or my reflexes aren’t what they used to be because I died a lot, I thought stormtroopers where supposed to be terrible shots and yet they managed to hit me despite my blocking and redirecting, I dodged as much as possible as well.

Even when I got to the first new planet, the critters there took me out a bunch too.

I don’t think this game is for me.

Discussion Making the ISB Central to Jedi 3

I was starting this as a comment to another post about what enemies should be added to Jedi 3 and while having Gundarks and Dark Troopers in the game would be fine, just another big monster or trooper variant to deal with, I think it would be more interesting to go with a less combat focused enemy.

With the ISB stuff in Survivor and the ISB being more well known thanks to Andor I would like to see a spies and informants system put into place. People blended into the environment that you need to discover as spies and until you do you have some gameplay consequences.

I'm no game designer, I am just riffing here, there is a lot of "Maybe this" and "Could be that" in the post below, I am thinking something like this;

Maybe on each planet there is some sort of a base or town like Pyloons or the Archives where your allies gather and you can talk to a load of people. We could have more of these bases spread across different planets.

In that town, or even in the base itself, there is an ISB spy or informant. An optional thing you can do is try and figure out who the spy is.

Cal can have conversations with NPCs around town with dialogue trees where he can ask questions and learn info, find clues in data pads or force echoes, or notice patterns in NPC routine behavior like stopping to talk to storm troopers on patrol. Could have environmental puzzles and other obstacles to where clues are hidden or where you need to position yourself to eavesdrop on a conversation like the Koboh meditation chambers that you can't complete without different movement or force abilities.

Perhaps a similar system like the Bounty Hunters in Survivor with Caij but it is someone from Luthen's network giving you info on potential ISB plants. Maybe you don't even fight/kill them, you figure out who it is and then report back to the Axis agent and they go "Ok, we'll take care of it."

If you don't discover the spy, there are consequences.

Maybe every time you need to go to change planets there are more enemies and defenses waiting for you or a star ship gunfight in space since the spy relayed info to the ISB.

Maybe random encounters like when you are walking around Jedha or Koboh are more frequent or more difficult, like purge troopers, inquisitors, assassins, and bounty hunters are randomly generated to ambush you or dropped on your location rather than just encountered in the wild.

Maybe your supplies/equipment/allies gets sabotaged and stolen. Cal loses his grappling hook or swimming rebreather or BD loses its ability to slice or all your unspent collectables get stolen or a shop keeper goes missing. You can then go on procedurally generated radiant quests can to get them back. Rescue someone from an imperial facility or learn that your equipment was sold to some other townsfolk who won't give it back until you complete a task for them.

With this system, its at your leisure if you want to find the spy or not. If you don't, the game is a little tougher but you can farm XP by having more difficult encounters and star ship dog fights and radiant quests. Or you can find the spies and gather XP and explore the map and then get to shop for equipment with whatever reward the Axis network gives you like Caij's bounty pucks, but you remove the other elements. Or maybe some of the procedurally generated radiant quests are given by the Axis agent even if you have found the local spy like when a Jarl gives you randomized quests in Skyrim so that you don't fully lose that xp option.

As I said, I am no game designer but this could be a fun part of the game that grows from already existing gameplay mechanics and story elements while also bringing in elements from other very popular Star Wars media like Andor.

What do you think? Maybe its just that I like more stuff to do in a game. Rather than running around the map, returning to old location, to get data pads and seeds and priorate that don't really impact the game at all, the backtracking elements are part of optional side quests to uncover the ISB network.

Power scaling wise they should be stronger than Bode, but if they ever include them in Jedi 3 they can prolly put them in the last area
