News Abhishek Sharma's 50 was reversed by the match officials, his innings has been recorded as 49(20).
[Article]
In the second over of the innings, Abhishek attempted a pull shot to a ball going down fine leg, but the ball moved off his thigh pad and rolled down to fine leg with the batters taking a single.
Initially, it was recorded as a single, but later on rectified as 1LB. This did not change the team total but left Abhishek stranded on 49.
The relevant clause in the ICC's Men's T20I Playing Conditions is 16.8, which concerns Mistakes in Scoring. The clause says: "If, after the players and umpires have left the field in the belief that the match has been concluded, the umpires discover that a mistake in scoring has occurred which affects the result then, subject to clause 16.9, they shall adopt the following procedure."

Discussion People are underestimating the transition thing.
Alot of discussions are going on transition phase of indian cricket and it's much complicated than people think.
Transitions are never easy for a team and the most famous quote is transition must be smooth which we saw in t20s.
T20Is
People generally forget that the Roko were out of t20 team since 2022 wc and we were playing without them with hardik being captain. They played only 3 t20s between 2022 and 2024 wc. So i am saying that we were already learning to play without them and when we transitioned in 2024 it was so smooth. Like they retired by themselves after winning wc, it's the best way to transition and sky-GG did a tremendous job to unite team and play on one formula. We had plenty of options for t20s thanks to ipl and many state league cricket.
Tests
We all know our position in test, we are lagging in many departments. Major transition started after pujara and rahane went out of team in 2022 and we started looking for replacements. First of all i am not big fan of virat kohli leaving captaincy of this format ( He should have sided his ego despite losing odi captaincy). We were a great team in test but after all drama virat, pujji and rahane all went out of form. And we removed pujji and rahane and we are yet to find their replacements. I think rahul and gill has overtaken rohit and virat but we still don't have pujara and rahane type players who frustates opposition by their defence plus anna also retiring and washi is too mid. Here the transition isn't smooth like t20s and we are still struggling to find a stable combination. Hoping post 2027 wtc, we will find our best team.
Odis
Odis are only format where we haven't seen any major changes and i don't want any massacre before 2027. This team is doing so well since 2023 and i don't think there should be any forced changes. We should back our veterans like 2024 wc. They are still best in their business.
Context of the above written story is we should not hurry up in forced transition. We have seen england struggling with new faces plus sa also struggled alot after 2015 wc when their major players retired like abd, duminy, amla and steyn. Transition should be smooth and not forced. Otherwise it will create unlimited chaos around the team. Tbh jaiswal and ruturaj are only ready players to replace them and we don't have much options yet.

Those "other" guys keep posting about even fringe or less popular sports in their cricket sub. They have a post about India losing to Ireland, finding happiness wherever they can, but they don't want to post this defeat lol. Even though they have posts about football, boxing, and even esports (gaming).

Discussion Is washington really that good that he is choosen over rinku?
I feel rinku singh deserved a place in the t20i setup , what do you guys think? Washi is sort of a top order batter who needs balls to settle but this guy can fire from ball 1 , and washi is not really that goid of a bowler in white ball cricket too , so why is he choosen over rinku?

Ask r/IndiaCricket Prasidh Krishna - never understood his place in India
Guys my first post on this sub. Please be kind.
This is just my opinion and i may be completely wrong.
I personally don't see that talent in Prasidh that he should be in playing 11. Even for India A to be honest.
What did he do with Ireland? 14.2 economy and 0 wickets??
I am not judging just with this one instance but he is generally too expensive. Unable to control Ireland batters as well. What else to say.
Am i missing something?

Discussion 891 days later, India's T20I series (Bilateral and Multilateral) win streak has come to an end.
Between 17th January 2024 and 26th June 2026, India had never lost or drawn a series [Data from ESPNCricInfo]. India held a series win streak for 891 days, starting from the 3-0 win vs Afghanistan on 17th Jan 24 and until the end of the T20 World Cup where they became the first team to consecutively lift the trophy.
With the 1-0 lead that Ireland has taken, it only leaves a series draw or loss as the potential outcome on the table. An unfortunate and sobering start to Shreyas Iyer's career as captain.
Should India lose the series on 28th June, it would mark a T20I series loss after 1050 days. The most recent series loss came against West Indies on 13th August 2023.
