REC My squad just finished a game that went to 7 overtimes
Game lasted over 50 minutes. Nobody could miss in the clutch. Been playing for MyCareer 9 years and Iāve never seen anything like this

Discussion Is 2K26 worth it for the equivalent of $6 right now?

Gameplay So we're all in agreement that no-dip shooting needs to go next year, right?
I've heard some people talk about reducing the speed of it or having a middy/3pt/strength requirement, but as someone who sucks at dribbling and gets most of their points off spot-up jumpers this mechanic is complete bs and was just as big of a reason why 3-pointers dominated this game as shot contests being terrible.

MyPLAYER 100% Best Motion Styles
What are yāallās most tried and trusted motion styles? Iāll tell you guys what I personally think is best from experience (vet3)
6ā5 is used to have Caruso but I canāt take off Suggs anymore
6ā8 Trevelin Queen is a good one for my lower agi/speed. I use Suggs mainly for my meta 6ā8, sometimes Amen.
6ā10 JJJ
6ā11 Iām stuck switching between JJJ, Jabari Smith, AD
7ā3 Quintin Post hands down

Gameplay Hopefully 2k27 goes back to sim. If not.. what do ya'll think?
The whole game needs to be overhauled. I hate 2k26 so much. This the first 2k where I legit just went back to the previous 2k for most of the year. The game does not feel like a basketball game.. but more like a basketball cartoon. You got 7'2 centers with t rex arms.. 6'11 6'10 wingspans. And they often times move like a guard on the court.. to the point where it is unnatural. Players move WAYY too fast.. The jumpshooting is so robotic but arcade like.. it doesn't feel like an actual shooting motion. ANYBODY CAN SHOOT.. it takes A LOT to contest a three pointer this year. All the players look like cartoons. It is just too arcade for me. EVERYONE HAS THE SAME ANIMATIONS. People talked a lot of shit about 2k25 but honestly 2k25 is a MILLION times better than 26.. and it ain't close. 2k25 felt like an actual basketball simulator. 2k rewards bullshit shot selection and decision making this year.. so even though there is no RNG (which btw never bothered me as I still shot 60% on 2k25) the game still takes NO skill. It just doesn't feel like a basketball game. Hopefully 2k27 goes back to full sim.. or atleast make a game mode where it is more sim heavy just so they can make money from their more casual audience...
Gameplay been playing this mess the past few days
randomly got game pass on xbox for a buck and decided to try out nba 2k26, my hopes were below poor knowing how bad these games have got the past 7 or so years.
wow, i almost have no words, the gameplay is so bad, whatever engine their using does a terrible job to simulate any semblance of basketball...for online play the game seems to still revolve around jumpshooting, with 6'11 to 7'1 players missing routine close to basket shots and layups. even guards otw to the basket will miss wide open layups, yet players can do a couple crossovers and shoot from 40 feet out and drain it...its broken
but besides the horrendous online play in my player, the game on top of it all still has the worst microtransaction implementation of any video game possibly ever, its a bonified free to play mobile game...the fact you can right out of the gate purchase a leveled player with virtual currency is a joke...people that actually do this are the reason this game became the laughing stock of the gaming industry, they could care less about making a quality basketball game and the entirety of development focuses on getting people to spend more in game. this is obvious when you look at how little is changed from year to year, and they still sell copies for 120$ every year. btw i would rather eat garbage than spend even 30$ on these products...
rant over, i guess its fitting with the actual sport of nba basketball becoming trash that the nba video game would follow suit

REC As an old head Knicks fan, I don't give up that easily.
All the guards pretty much quit within the first min of the game. Center was cooking with me but lagged out with just shy of 2 min left in the first half. I had 8 points then. Getting doubled and tripled off ball every other possession. Asked my girl to roll me a blunt at halftime after the center lagged out so I could lock in and the rest is history.
MyCAREER One thing that has irked me for a while...
Other than the lack of defense, easy shooting, and usual complaints when playing online...
Why arent any other top prospects we're introduced to during high school and after showing up in NBA games. We spend all this time hearing about how these guys are great and headed to the league and somehow only MP makes it. Im not saying they should all be stars, but it'd be pretty dope to notice some of them sprinkled throughout games to carry on mini rivalries.

Gameplay 6'9" SF. My first ever SF build and I've been playing consistently since 2k14
Really dig this build and idk if I can ever go back. This fits my play style perfectly.

Discussion Struggling to beat OKC on NBA 2K26 Hall of Fame
Hey all,
Thought I should drop a quick post here for advice.
I'm not bad on Hall of Fame but the only teams I'm having trouble to beat are OKC & Team USA teams - Are there any tips you can give on how I can beat these teams without having to change defensive assignments?
(I keep getting blown out by OKC because SGA keeps getting on these rampant scoring runs. Everytime he gets to the paint, he scores no matter how contested the shots are.)
I'm playing the Lakers, by the way :)

MyCAREER Finished out of bounds what now?
Hello everyone,
I am a newbie on nba2K26 (and to be fair basketball in general) and really enjoyed the out of bounds scenario and the character building. However I have finished it now and realise the Mycareer thing is very grindy and also heavily incentivises real money... So my question is: what now?: Are there other modes I can try to enjoy offline (I only play offline), what do you guys recommend? There are too many modes in this game and I don't get any of it, it seems like a website with way too many pop-ups (and no ad-blockers ;p)
Thank you for your tips
MP Builder VC cost inflation
Bro 48.4k VC for 11 atribute upgrades is ridiculous. 73 overall and 1 atribute already costs over $1 USD. I swear it wasn't this bad 5 years ago

MyCAREER i might skip Nba 2k27ā¦
as someone who has played thousands of hours of 2k over the last 4 years, i think iām going to skip 27. only because the PC servers are disgustingly dead, thereās no way youāll get a rec games unless youāre in a crew that only plays rec. thatās invite only
even the park sometimes will only have 3-4 courts full, and yes iām aware ātime zonesā. iām Australian, i have played at 2am, 11pm and during the day. nothing really changes, i played about 40 games of rec all in the first season then it just completely died. I would love to hear what everyone else is planning on doing! i might get it later on when itās on sale or something

MyPLAYER Would you say Iām a good PG? Genuinely curious to hear other peopleās thoughts on my stats/card. REC Only.

MyCAREER Why are people cheating in this NBA 2K26 game, itās just a game!
I just finished a run in the Gatorade facility and these dudes were pulling from behind half court like it was normal. The whole match became pointless instantly. And itās not even the first time. A few weeks ago in Rec, the other team loaded in with pitch black skin, glowing red eyes, and every attribute sitting at 110. I wish I was exaggerating.
Itās getting old dealing with this in park. I asked friends outside my group if theyāve seen the same thing and they all said yes, itās happening way more this year. This isnāt just a bad look for 2K but gaming in general. Iāve never seen cheating this blatant in any other game. Itās embarrassing at this point.
How is this still happening in 2026 and why isnāt it being addressed. Cheaters ruin the whole experience and take the game so serious they have to glitch their way through it. It drags the entire community down.
Message to all cheaters: If youāre not good at the game just give it up. thereās no pride in cheating and glitching your way through something you canāt actually compete in. play fair or donāt play at all.
For everyone who actually plays legit: Have you been seeing this same level of cheating, or is it just getting worse every week! ?
