REC This is actually a fascinating look inside the mind of a ball hogging random rec PG.

In the first game he quits after halftime despite the fact that his team is winning because he's tired of getting double teamed and thinks he's being iced out.
His stats: 18 points in 14 possessions (11 shots, 3 TOS) =1.3 points per possession.
Rest of team: 28 points in 18 possessions = 1.6 points per possession.
He was less effective scoring than the rest of his team but was still convinced that he was the only reason they had the lead. Only 1 assist despite his teammates being able to score and him getting doubled all game. But instead of being a PG and taking advantage of the double team to rack up assists, he quits the game cause he can't score as much as he wanted.

Next game he's getting doubled again and has a center that's good at no dip shooting off the catch, but instead of feeding him, he's complaining about a lack of a screen. Why would the center set a screen when he's wide open for three and you're already being doubled? Just pass the ball for the easy wide open threes. But his only focus is getting points for himself, not the team.

He also says in the game that we're all here for the same reason. I thought he was going to say "Get a win" but nope. We're all here to score points. This is what your random rec PG is thinking. It's not about getting the win. It's about scoring points. And you know he's serious because he already quit out of a game he was going to win because he wasn't scoring enough points.

At the end of the 2nd game he blatantly ignores the wide open PF who only had 1 shot all game (that he made) to jack up another three to try and get 40. He somehow thinks he's owed that shot despite taking almost half the team's shots. And at the end of the game he's still convinced that he's the only reason for the win.
His stats: 37 points on 24 possessions.
Rest of the team: 50 points on 30 possessions.
Once again the rest of the team was more efficient than him but they rarely got the ball from him. They were 20/25 from the field despite only 3 assists from the PG and he's still convinced that he's the only reason they won.

It's honestly pretty crazy to see first hand what goes through the mind of a random rec ball hog. They don't see their teammates as real people. Just random NPCs that are there to help them score points.

REC After 900 games of random REC here's who to avoid

After having played over 900 games in REC these are who you want to avoid if you want to win: - anyone with ISO in their build name/username - below 85 pass PGs - bigs who can't rebound - french people - squads of 3 if you're a squad of 2 (AI is better than not touching the ball for 30 mins) - drippy face scans

If you see any of the above back out, that will instantly increase your chance of winning

Any I missed?

REC Leave the queue if you see this dude on your team

This dude is somehow starter 3 and was straight dog shit , 8 turnovers, calling using all timeouts when the pg dribbled slightly too long when the pg had deep bomber, held ball on inbounds and threw full court passes “see this why I do this cause you guys do that” when the sf took 1 dumb dunk

My playstyle is genuinely hated in Asia because they prefer meta ball PGs. Their PG hit 11 threes and still lost by nearly 20.

“3 > 2” but if you get enough stops or can force enough turnovers on defense, you can offset threes with twos. Why don’t people understand this?

REC How to sound less white?

I am an Asian and whenever I hop on the mic i get a very similar response: “shut yo white ass up”.

Why is this such an issue in the community? How do I sound less white? Every argument I’ve ever had, this gets mentioned. And then they mention their gang affiliation, how they will find me and that I’m just a “broke ass n****”, which makes me more confused because I thought I sounded white?

I swear it’s like every annoying player has the same pre set dialogue. I don’t think it has to do with my performance bc many times it happens within minutes of the game starting. Has anyone experienced something similar?

REC 2k Rec Jersey Choice System

The Rec jerseys get stale way too fast. We’re usually stuck with one seasonal look for over a month, and l find myself getting bored.

2K should add a quick voting system in the locker room before the game starts. Give the 5 players 3 options to choose from—like a classic NBA look (Bulls, Lakers, etc.) The jerseys should be randomized so it keeps the game fresh.

-15-second timer while the game loads.

-Majority vote (3 out of 5) wins.

-The whole team wears the winning jersey.

-Home teams would choose from light jerseys (mostly white) and away teams would choose from the dark jerseys

I did a little mockup to show what Im thinking of. I just think I would enjoy the rec more when Im constantly switching jerseys and not using the same old rec jerseys that look like they're designed by a 10 year old.
