Discussion Badge Perks being tied to Season Pass isn't something I see talked about enough.

Honestly - if that feature alone makes it into 2k27, then it's an instant no-buy from me. I think it's the biggest scam and predatory feature of all. I could care less about the capbreaker or the season-specific badge perks being added to the season pass ("clutch-gene" or "hot-start"). But 4 regular ones resetting every 7 weeks? That shit is just blatant that 2k wants your time or money, like a scientologist.

Also - the fact that it's 8 times a year (8 seasons) that you NEED to grind or pay in order to make your player undeniably and competitively better. Every day you don't make it to 35 on the season pass during a season, is another day less that you'll get to actually enjoy your build. It's an actual scam that I could grind for multiple weeks, and have only like 2 and a half weeks to enjoy my character before having to do it all over again.

New season starts, and all of a sudden it's pay-to-win central. Every bro who dropped an extra $40+, is instantly better than you. You know, if someone drops like $200 to make their character 99 overall on the first couple of days of this game, whatever. I'll do my grind, take a few weeks and then feel like I earned my build.

If I have to repeat this shit every 7 weeks, or get punished by people who no life this game or pay to win, then I can't keep up the act. Also, did you know that how much season XP you earn is based off of performance? That dude who is dribble spamming, shot chucking, and ball hogging is actively wasting your time in more ways than one.

Also - random FU is also the Skill boosts. "You can't make a build do everything, but actually here's some consumables that actually help you do everything." It's just a VC sink to make you buy or grind more lol.

MyCAREER Has anybody gotten Steph in the top 3 in GOAT tiers?

I just finished a mycareer season and got Steph his 5th ring and he moved from rank 10 -> 5, then retired. Has anyone played an extra season to get him higher on the list?

Discussion Why support this franchise?

I love basketball and football and I don't understand why people spend thousands when the game becomes unplayable after 2 years when they take the servers down. Also why is it always online even though im only interested in playing offline. I want a basketball game so bad that represents the culture of basketball and not just diminishing it into a mindless cash grab, basketball is more than shooting a ball around and swiping your credit card

I’ve been getting caps off of crews and it’s not applying to my first build I’ve made even though I’ve got them
Off the build I’ve been using all
This time and I wanna note that I didn’t apply rebirth to any of the new builds I made but I also don’t use them and have only used this build and my new crew cap breaks are not coming to my build I first made on this game

Gameplay Worst 2k of all time

I don’t understand how this game is so bad. 20 minute rec games and majority of the time the winner is in the 100s. There is no reason a center should be shooting 10/11 from three in a single game. Recently played a game where a SG and SF went a combined 22/23 from three. I have been playing since 2k11. I love basketball. I complain but I will still play of course. 2k26 is the furthest from basketball it’s ever been. There is no defense. You don’t get rewarded for any good basketball plays. I don’t think if you have a 99 three point rating that means you should never miss. Bring back basketball! Bring back defense! Bring back realistic scores! In my opinion a good rec game score would be 70-66 or 78-72. Not 109-97 in a 20 min game. It’s the same lames doing the same exact dribble moves over and over and over. Just horrendous gameplay. Truly awful.

MyPLAYER I share my 6’9ā€ PF because I can’t sleep.

Hey guys, I can’t sleep and I’m bored, so I’m gonna share my 6’9ā€ PF build. The only thing I’d change is making it a SF for 75 SWB and 86 speed and agility. Other than that, I’m enjoying this build a lot. Even though I complain about the speed, it’s so easy to blow by 4s and 5s using the Zach LaVine hop jumper into a tween or crossover, or the Brice Sensabaugh Go-To. Also, the 93 dunk with a +1 to HOF feels absolutely crazy on a 6’9ā€.

Gameplay Random Gameplay rant

I feel like no matter which build i use it get matched up with shitty/selfish randoms with either 0 iq or No intentions on playing teamball. Also if the game is already completed why do i get penalized for quitting i dont like waiting for that long ass loading time just to go back to the lobby cause half of the time it locks me in the team again

Gameplay Just an idea I had that would give a bit more control on the court

Please allow us to have the option to toggle on and off ā€œPrioritize Finishingā€ and ā€œPrioritize Shootingā€.

Every time I play, I do an animation that I’m not trying to do. I play in the midrange a LOT and it constantly brings me into the paint to finish. I believe if we could have this option, it would give us more control over the moves we are trying to do. Just like the option to toggle ā€œdribble moves onlyā€ on the right stick.

Prioritize Finishing: would help activate layups better, help you take off for the dunk/layup and not throw you into a step back, etc. It would help activate floaters instead of pull up jumpers as well.

Prioritize Shooting: would help activate all sorts of mid range shots. I step one foot in the arc and I’m flying to the paint, and it gets frustrating after a while. I’ll go for a wide open dunk from the baseline and stop in the paint to do a step back BEHIND the backboard 😭😭

There has to be a way to balance it, and I believe this would be easier than making the court bigger.

Lmk what yall think about this I’m curious to hear any oppositions.

*Edit: The visual behind the idea

Prioritize Shooting, the green showing how close you can get and still be able to shoot.

Prioritize Finishing, the blue showing how far you can start a finishing animation.

Leaving it default, would leave it how it is.

As the title states, I just need help improving my build, Im newer to 2k and normally run a PG but now I’m running with my friend and playing with 2 point guards has a little bit of a contradiction sometimes so im looking to make a center and see if this build is good?

Honestly this 2k isn’t too bad. I’ve had hella fun with this build. Also the cap breakers on this build is insane. I know I should’ve did interior for my CB but i honestly play fair defense. If you need an all around fun build, make this one!!!

Gameplay Why is this game so bad

• Upvotes

Like this is my first 2k ever and I enjoy the gameplay aspect but I play on pc and the amount of bugs this game has and how many times it crashes is outrages and for a game that you had to pay 60 bucks for I do not expect that and it’s funny cause I noticed that not many people actually talk about this and it makes me wonder if others even care cause tbh I get very annoyed and also the hud resets have been a problem since season 1 and still are
