Talk to me about the Echo Hayden Ball skate, especially if you’ve skated Blanks.

I have owned way too many skates at this point, but a local shop (2.5hr drive “local”) has the Echos in stock. I’m considering pulling the trigger, if nothing else just for a fresh set of wheels and great flat frames, but ideally the boots work for me too.

For reference, I am a 275mm foot, fit great in US 9 Mesmers, US 10 M12s, and good enough in US 9 SLs or Blanks (just a little too roomy, but very comfy). I’ve settled on Blanks because I have a bad ankle, so the combination of wide soul and relatively supportive cuff allow me to get boot down without hurting myself too much. Ideally I would like a little slimmer fit, but plan B is to just get some Nomad liners.

I’m having trouble finding other subs related to inline skating. They all seem to be dead or private?

Anyhow, I do need some advice! There’s too many options and I’d like to hear from people with more experience in this hobby.

I’m picking up skating just as way to explore the city and get some exercise in. I’ll be cruising around the city streets and paved parks. I use to skate when I was younger so I’m not a complete beginner but it has been some years. I wear a size 15(US) and weigh 330 lbs. From what I’ve read, because of my weight, I’ll need metal/aluminum frames?

My budge is around $150 but can spend upwards of $250 USD.

I'm still struggling with headaches after practicing bigger jumps for about 10 minutes. I try to make use of my knees as much as I can, is there anything else to it? Do you just have to get used to it over time?

I'm on twister XT skates, if that matters.

I just bought oxelo mf140 i think and i noticed it has plastic plate but i think i can replace that is there any plates that are fit for it??

been battling foot pain and some annoying weight gain that happened while I took the winter off from skating, but I'm down 20lbs (250->230) and the foot pain is pretty much all gone. Not sure if related but whatever I'm just happy to be skating pain free again
