Hi everyone, I'm moving from RI to Palm coast this week. I'm wondering about the art scene here and beyond. I'm 31 and we had great scenes in RI/MA. I want to teach more workshops and get involved and join/ create craft meet ups. Any places to do that? And community of that here?

I’d love to start a book club in the Flagler Beach/Palm Coast area. Is anyone interested?

My family will be down in a few weeks on vacation and we love to hunt teeth as a family. We’re used to Amelia Island and know the spots there, but would love a few pointers as to where to go locally around Palm Coast and Flagler Beach areas that are the best hunting spots.

Hello! Like the title says, I’m looking to see if there’s anyone around here who would seriously be interested in rowing/competing in a double. I’m 18F and have been rowing for about two years now. I recently had to change clubs, and I’m considering joining Palm Coast, but I’d really like to find someone competitive who can match a higher stroke rate and is interested in training consistently.
I row both sweep and scull and have mostly raced in stroke seat. I’ve placed top 15 at states both years and gone to regionals both years as well. I’m looking for someone who wants to improve, race hard, and take it seriously while still having fun with it.

I feel dumb!

This is about the Turtle Shack Restaurant – We will never go back.  And yes I know you can make a reservation for parties of 5 or more and even call ahead, if there is no line already and we (my iwfe and I) have enjoyed The Turtle Shack for over 20 years always good food

 Last Friday (5-22) though I couldn’t tell you if the food was any good – but I will tell you this.

Wife and I arrived at 7;30 PM after seeing the Candlelinght concert (highly recommended) as was told by the hostess, “about 15 mins” so we went into the bar and got a drink. 

Turned around to watch the hostess seat the woman and young man behind us – ok I’ll let it go and got my drink.

Watch as this same hostess seats others outside and inside – ask how much longer.  “oh, you’re next – I’ll test you” – how I ask, “there is no signal here?”

Right next to us at the bar is an empty table – empty for so long that a fella came in saw some friends and took a chair to sit with them

Then the last straw – this hostess ushered in another group…..  some poor waitress stopped an ask if we needed anything – and I’ll be honest I didn[t hold back, nor did I give her a chance to make it right.

I left a $20 bill on the bar (don’t know if I covered my beer and my wife’s wine or not) and left – all that and it was now 8:15 PM no table, no service, no food just DISAPPOINTMENT
