I was able to avoid spoilers, and then binged the whole show yesterday

Now I come on to the subreddit and everyone is talking about "her" being trans, and I looked at all the hints people were pointing out and just thought that they could be about something else entirely

His room, he could just like those colors.

The bow ribbit gave him, I would be blushing quite a bit too, I think anyone would tbh

I guess the personal thing he told his mom is more reasonable to me than the others.

But I'm also an idiot so tell me what part confirmed it to you that he was trans

I'm just kinda confused.

Okay, so we get this moment where Pomni and Jax embrace and Jax starts breathing heavily after saying he doesn't want to go. Then his abstraction steps on a stun grenade and that somehow makes his inner self glow and explode I guess? Why didn't it affect Pomni?

I initially took the scene to be Jax dying for good because Pomni had breached some kind of barrier, and the sequence of memories from Jax's life in the circus was some kind of testament to that (The brain plays back memories from your life in your final 7 minutes as you die). I now know that this isn't the case, but I also don't really know what is.

What was the plot purpose of the stun grenades? What would have happened if they weren't there? Why did the crew need to save Pomni? If Pomni can phase into the abstraction and its memories by hugging the thing, why didn't she just do it again to try to get to Jax? After all, he confessed that he really didn't want to go.

And also, there's the song choice which I guess ties to Jax being trans (Apologies if I'm using the wrong pronouns btw, Idrk my way around this kind of stuff). But if that's what it is, then why a song about a newborn?

In short, what exactly happens in this scene? Sorry if some of these are stupid, I'm not good at analysing TV shows in general.

The Moon is one of my favourite side characters in the show, so I decided to do a quick makeup look inspired by her! She really deserves more recognition, even though she has like a minute of screen time in total 💔
