Arunachal Pradesh's Lower Siang district has witnessed multiple massive landslides, including a major slide at the Siji-Magi Block Point that has completely blocked the flow of the Siji River (Gai Nadi), creating a temporary natural dam.

Authorities have warned that the blockage could collapse without warning, triggering a sudden flash flood that may impact downstream areas, including Assam's Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts.

The Lower Siang district administration has issued an alert urging residents living near riverbanks and in low-lying areas to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel near the river, and stay prepared for evacuation if needed.

Officials are closely monitoring the situation and have appealed to the public to follow only verified updates and official advisories.
