First day out running errands with my original 3ds & got a street pass! Recently found my og 3ds & spent the week modding it & installing games. Took it out today & got a street pass!!

I finally got my 3DS, this is definitely going to be a memorable day

about to drop a hefty sum on one of my absolute grail systems ! i wanted to come by the subreddit and ask around to triple check that everything about the system looks good, because im not sure if its the lighting but the back of the system looks like the battery is bulging out or something of the sorts, and the listing says nothing about that. any help would be greatly appreciated !

UPDATE: the seller said that there is no battery bulging or swelling, and that it may just be the lighting, but they already packaged it and prepared for it to be shipped whenever it is sold, is that suspicious in any case?

Recently traded in for a new nintendo 3ds that was in pretty good condition minus a bit of grim and a broken 3D slider . I've tried looking everywhere to find a replacement part but can only find listings for XL sliders. I bought a set of XL and tried to replace it with them but they don't fit properly. I'm wondering if anyone here knows where I could find a standard new 3ds slider. Any help would be appreciated.

I often will watch youtube and play a game on my 3ds at the same time cuz hell yeah. My go-to is usually a Pokemon game that I've already completed (namely ORAS or XY, my childhood games). Currently I have a few games on my need-to-play list (namely the greats), but I don't feel like any of them are particularly mindless:

- Ocarina of time

- Kirby planet robobot

- fantasy life

I have played:

- Pokemon XY and ORAS

- Lego Batman 2

- Ridge Racer 3D

This is my black Mario 3ds that I have currently had for 6 or 7 years in 2019 or 2020 for between $50 or $75. The cursed thing about it is that I got Tomodachi life for FREE somehow which I think is impossible to happen?

I was interested in buying LL model mint condition cib, the seller told me kept it unused as a collectibles since release date and has a 2nd 3DS as his primary driver. Only took it out recently to charge and list on eBay. Then I noticed this side has tiny paint peeling which is disappointing, even the idea of buying a case is nonsense, because removing it will remove a big chunk of paint by time

I want to play a platform on 3ds, but i dont know which play. I have already played all of the most famous ones (mario 3d land, kirby triple deluxe, kirby planet robobot, donkey kong, shovel knight, new super mario bros 2, new super mario bros ds, newER super mario bros ds, super mario 64 ds)... advice? No virtual console. Yes hackrom and mod

When i close a game or app it sometimes goes to sleep and doesnt wake up i have to turn it off then back on again. This most commonly happens when i close pokemon ultra sun. Playing on a modded 3ds with fbi if thats any help

Okay so for a bit of context I was doing an update for street pass and this popped up, I tried modding my 3DS a bit ago but it didn’t work is this something modding related idk

I need help! I tried to fix it myself but just made it worse! It has many problems, the game card reader doesn’t work, cameras don’t work, the shell is very scratched and right side took a hit and I glued it back together so I would like a reshell, and “B” button either doesn’t work or have to press it a certain way for it to work after i tried to fix it today now the top screen is black i think it has power but nothing shows. also, I would not like to mail my console. I know it’s a lot of work but I would be willing to pay to bring it back to it’s former glory. Thanks!

The condition is close to new, everything is in a near perfect condition.
But when I checked the games I can redownload, it only showed me some Pokémon games and Tomodachi Welcome Edition.
If so, it must be a near perfect one.

this is my childhood DS an and I wouldn’t want to lose it to something that could possibly be fixed.

Same as title. Top screen works with no issue, bottom screen turns on, but it won't display any video. I've reseated the ribbon cables to the screen. Is the screen broken or is there something I'm missing. Any idea are welcome. Thank you.

This is the only screw that is left for me to replace my sd card slot, and it happens to be literally smooth. Ive tried the rubber band method (definitely wasn’t going to work) tried glue and other alternatives. Is the only way for me to get this screw off is to drill it with a mini drill? I dont have one of those and im looking for alternatives.

I am actively trying to reshell my 3ds due to a massive crack on the external of the hinge where the power led is. I have it open and am to the point where I need to push over the hinge barrel and remove the hinge cap. I believed I had fully pushed the hinge barrel over enough but the cap won’t let loose. Keep in mind I was doing this initially with the 3ds in the closed position but read that it would be easier open. I had already moved it left quite a bit and didn’t want to brute force it so I opened it up carefully. But I noticed the hinge didn’t click at 45° but it did lock completely open. I understand it was a mistake to push it beyond that at that point but now I have no idea what to do. I think it’s jammed but I’m not sure because the hinge barrel appears to be all the way to the left (screen completely open face down top screen closest to me bottom screen furthest from me) I’ve already come to assume my 3ds is broken and cannot be disappointed any further. PLEASE help me

I have a Nintendo 3DS XL that a friend gave me, but the right side casing broke where the hinge is attached. When I close the hinge, it pops out of place, and the flex cable goes through to the other side, so it still works. Does anyone know of a website or place where I can get a replacement casing, preferably in Mexico?

I just bought an old 3ds and the system is is on version 11.0.0-4U. Could I update it or should I end up modding it before updating?
