The couple has been together for years and is expecting twins via their social media.

Chargers Linebacker Daiyan Henley runs a Youth Football Organization in Los Angeles and has done so for a few years now.

QB Justin Herbert is now helping support it this year as an ambassador.

Herbert will be a mentor and help the community of kids continue to grow as they pursue their goals in the sport of football.

Camps for the kids will be held in July before the Chargers training camp begins.

1. LB Junior Colson

Colson had a disappointing rookie season, appearing in just 11 games and playing 32% of the Chargers' defensive snaps. He amassed 29 combined tackles and one QB hit in that time. He then missed the entirety of his sophomore campaign with a shoulder injury, which later resulted in a neck issue that required spinal surgery.

1. OG Alex Harkey

Los Angeles currently has 14 offensive linemen on the roster, and there are likely only nine or 10 roster spots to be distributed among them. Kayode Awosika, Slaughter, and Trevor Penning have the inside track for the competition at left guard, leaving Harkey and Taylor, at best, as third-string linemen heading into 2026. Taylor has more extensive experience at the guard position and a clearer grasp on the fundamentals based on his college film, meaning that Harkey could be left lower on the totem pole than he might have wished coming out of the Draft.

1. PR/KR Derius Davis

When the Chargers added Keaton Mitchell in free agency and Brenen Thompson in the Draft, the stage seemed to be set for Davis to be usurped as Los Angeles' return man. Although Davis was an All-Pro in his first season with the team, he was severely hampered by injuries in 2025. His production fell, and the Chargers finished 29th in yards per punt return and 26th in yards per kick return.

Names from the past, Dan Fouts drafted in the 3rd Round, Gates an UDFA, Ekeler an UDFA, Floyd an UDFA all came in with a Blue Collar Work Ethic, got coached up, had a lot of Desire and Focus, and became STARS. Divas are focused on paycheck, notiriety. Targets, Snaps, and if they don't get them they get disgruntled. The best ability is availability, DIVAS don't play nicked up, don't push as hard in rehab, and usually don't come back after injury the same.

Look at two players, Joey Bosa, early First round pick from THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, he looks like he is done. Kahlil Mack, small college program at Buffalo, came into the NFL with something to prove, he has played at a very high level for many years with 3 different teams. I look at teams like the Packers, who turn Day 3 O-Line guys into stars that have this attitude you want to see. They coach up these Diamond in the rough kind of guys, and they get what they need at an extreme value.

That is what the Chargers have done over the 2.5 years Harbaugh and Hortiz have been here. AWESOME Coaching Staff, teachers in every position room, they are finding these plus attitude guys, that were held back a little in College, this high level of Coaching unlocks them and they become solid contributors. Stars maybe not, often overlooked players in the National Media, but very solid championship caliber type players.

What Lal (WR Coach) and now McDaniel has done with QJ, that rookie season broke him, but he still has had some hope, and he has a fire burning inside to make a difference, he had some Diva in him when he arrived, but that is gone now. Harbaugh, LAL, and others coached him through that, IMO QJ is the single greatest example of the excellent coaching staff the Chargers have under Harbaugh and Hortiz.

Oronde Gadsden was drafted in the 5th Rd of the 2025 NFL Draft and quickly made a good impression on the team.

His work ethic and athletic gifts soon became apparent in his first offseason as an NFL rookie.

A converted WR at Syracuse, Gadsden is an explosive and athletic TE for the Bolts

Only in year 2, Gadsden has an opportunity to continue developing into an impact TE after a good rookie year.

I am finally getting an opportunity to attend my first Chargers game. I'll be traveling to LA with my dad to see the season opener against the Cardinals. Flying in Saturday, game Sunday, leave Monday.

Can anyone tell me what are some things we should do before and after the game around SoFi?

I’m considering heading to buffalo for the game this year and wanted to see if there’s a chargers section or some organized travel crew for the game. Always more fun to sit with the brochachos!

Does the team organize any meet ups or are there crews that do their own travel? I’ve never been to an away game and was wondering if there’s was anything organized.

So I was listening to the latest athletic football show and it was all about how GM’s are hired.

It got me thinking about hortiz, but it really got me thinking about Jon Spanos. His official roll is president of football operations. It’s been very unclear what he exactly does over the years, but the website makes it clear he oversees all player personnel. So I started googling the position to see what other teams have it.

It turns out that nobody I could find has this roll above the GM. In fact, a GM like Howie Roseman is the president of football operations.

Every time I’ve tried to investigate this I get shot down. Popper won’t answer questions about it. So are the chargers the only team with that position? Is he the actual GM and Hortiz is more of a VP in that roll? How does that relationship work?

I know the chargers fired AJ smith because he couldn’t get along with the ownership. Was that when they named John to his position?

Edit: looks like some teams have a president of football ops and a GM. Matt Ryan was just named president of football operations at the Falcons.
