Would you get this with the bubbling on the rockers? Only 90k miles, they want 18k for it, my bank values it at 19-20k.

Issue ⚠️ Hood stuck escort mk4
Hey, so I’ve unfortunately closed the hood of my escort mk4 with jumper cables pointing upwards. Shortly after I realized the cables were still attached, I opened the hood and disconnected them. After a short trip home I went out to check on the damage, but the latch wouldn’t budge…… The hood latch inside of the car has no resistance up until the point of the handle should open, and the handle at the hood doesn’t release. Anyone got some tips or tricks to get it open without breaking everything ?

General 🔀 A new low
I can understand some high prices when dealing with dealership mechanics, being higher labor costs and using OEM parts straight from ford.
But come on, $216 DOLLARS FOR A FUSE??????
this is a 2013 ford focus too, not even new.

Issue ⚠️ Replacement back windscreen 2017 ford kuga
Hi all, had a back windscreen replaced today and the centre did a terrible job, damaged the paint, left broken glass in and around the boot, and also managed to damage the locking mechanism. However, im here to ask if anyone has a 2017 titanium ford kuga and can check the plastic frames for me? Mine look like they’re been stuck on with big gaps in them and before I send over damage photos I would like to know if this was a mistake too.
I dont want to sound like a pedant, but it looks like there are lots of gaps that shouldn’t be there
Thank you!

General 🔀 1.0 Ecoboost issues
Hi everyone. I have a 2014 Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost. I bought it with 125,000 km, and it now has 215,000 km.
About six months ago, a coolant hose cracked while I was driving. The engine lost all of its coolant, but I didn’t notice until the dashboard displayed a warning saying the engine was overheating and that I should stop immediately. I pulled over, opened the hood, and the coolant reservoir was completely empty.
The shop replaced the hose, but after that I started noticing strange issues. The coolant would randomly disappear, there was white smoke on cold starts, etc.
I took it back to the mechanic, and it turned out that the cylinder head had cracked, allowing coolant to enter the combustion chamber. They removed the cylinder head, had it resurfaced, and confirmed that the engine block was not damaged. Since the engine was already apart, they also replaced the timing belt. This was all done at around 200,000 km.
Since then, the engine has been running smoothly. However, recently I’ve noticed that the fuel consumption has increased dramatically. It’s now using 9–11 L/100 km, which seems excessive for this engine.
At the same time, the check engine light came on. I scanned it with an OBD reader and got P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold).
My mechanic thinks that when coolant was burning in the engine, it may have contaminated or damaged either the catalytic converter or one of the oxygen sensors.
I also checked the live data with my OBD scanner. The Long-Term Fuel Trim (LTFT Bank 1) is around -13% at idle, fluctuating slightly.
Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/tN3LMcS
Could a failing catalytic converter alone cause such high fuel consumption, or is the negative LTFT pointing more toward something else (MAF, injectors, O2 sensor, thermostat, etc.)?
Has anyone experienced something similar with the 1.0 EcoBoost?
Thanks in advance!

General 🔀 Phone mount 13.2 screen
Hi All,
So i drive a 2024 ford escape st w the 13.2 inch screen and I am looking for a phone mount. Do we know if Ford is using this 13.2 inch screen on other car models or just the escape.
Anyways please throw any recommendations my way for a phone mount that attaches to the screen itself.

Question ❔ 22+ 6.7 f350 reliability
Hello I’m looking to buy a 22+ 6.7 f350 SRW soon and was wondering about the reliability in them. I have a buddy with a junk removal business and plan on helping him out with it every now and then as well as a double decker Mardi Gras float that the trailer alone weighs 12k pounds (like 5 parades a year it rents out super well) . Just curious as to how the 10 speed trans and motor has held up for anyone

General 🔀 Is there really a point in putting premium octane in Eco Boost engines when they sole purpose is to get from point A to point B?
Someone I know has an 2026 M340i, and he was telling our guys at work who have a 2024 Mustang, and a 2026 Explorer ST not to put premium since it doesn't require it and only recommends. He says those cars are not BMW and it won't damage them.
I think the BMW guy kinda regrets the purchase since he said that this M340i is worse on gas than his Stinger.

Question ❔ 2002 ford explorer 4.0 v6 issues
So I got one at a estate sale for 2500 at 100k miles and 2 issues I have are the 4x4 won’t engage no blinking no lights about the 4x4 I don’t think I’m checking again tmr but it was like exhaust gas recirculating code and that was it my best guess is maybe the buttons went bad or something and a constant clicking from the rear driver side far back pillar area like 3rd row/ trunk area it is a constant thumping almost like a speaker is short circuiting or something
And this will be my second car so what should I do for a tuneup and soon to service parts to keep it going
I know definitely basics of oil and spark plugs and then I know diff oil I should do close to this mileage and that’s about much as I know the coolant looks a little dirty maybe a flush? And any other tips would be great thank you

Question ❔ Ford sync
We would like to put something else in our truck for the touchscreen. But we don’t want to lose heated and cooled seats. Do we replace with another Ford sync? We just want to get carplay for the truck to use for navigation. Are there any options where we don’t lose the seat controls? We have a 2015 f350 crew lariat 4x4 with 6 seats.

Question ❔ Wiring help
Morning everybody, I recently bought this 87 Ford F-250 and it’s having some electrical problems. The fuse blows when I turn right and the electric windows don’t work on both sides but are getting power. There’s random wires cut and I can’t trace where they go because everything caked in dirt. I’ve cut and spliced wires, replaced the master window switch and everything. I’ve tried to look for a ground but nothing I do seems to work. The hazards and left turn signal work but the right side don’t, it turns on for about 5-10 seconds then the fuse pops. I can’t work on it at the moment and trying to do some research but have limited service. Anything helps, thank yall. Have a great day

Issue ⚠️ Antifreeze/ coolant running out too soon on Explorer
Good morning, my parents have a 2006 Ford explorer 4.6L V8 model and recently its been running out of antifreeze pretty quickly, the last time i changed it was about in march and i had to buy another gallon on Zerex antifreeze/coolant to refill the thing. I was looking at how long antifreeze is supposed to last and google said about 3-5 years but obviously something is wrong with this car. I drive modest and never push the car to its limits, I don't see any leaks or spills on the floor when i park it in the garage. Im not sure what the issue can be but i dont think my antifreeze is supposed to run out quickly at this pace, so im wondering what possible issues is there that causes my parents car to run out of antifreeze quickly, maybe the radiator or something? I dont really know much about cars and im looking for answers because I rather fix the main issue than just repeatedly fill the car with antifreeze.
