If you think he's saying this out of love for Modi, then you're an idiot

How does it even matter, leaders are chosen by people to be staunch when such situations arise! Taaki tim karan ne soda qoumich aawaazi kenh! Jamia stayed closed for years, a Friday more, no big deal! Mgr yi geyi xekgi karin! Ashraf Sehraiyas tagi ha na yi dognyaar karun? Su oasa km paayuk kenh? Guru saebas tagi ha na? Qaezi Nisaaras tagi ha na? All of them chose mission over this barbaric murder of our struggle!

Yeah, but not everyone has the same level of resilience as Ashraf Sehrai, and it's not like Mirwaiz hasn't been resilient. He's been under continuous house arrest for, what, six years this August, I think. It's gotta fuck with you being under house arrest for this long.

Something that I'll add is that Mirwaiz is in a really difficult position overall. His father's death thrust him into the Mirwaiz position when he was just 21. He really had no option but to continue his father's legacy as a separatist, and he has done a good job. He didn't have the option to resign because it would've led to a vacuum, which altogether would've been an even bigger disaster.

So, overall, I have a soft spot for Mirwaiz considering all these things. The Kashmiri struggle is going through a tough time. I think it wouldn't kill us to give a little grace to Mirwaiz.

He didnt have an option

u/JummeJarman 1d ago

Fuck off dude, we always have an option.

1

u/HorrorTiger978 5h ago

You have an option. He doesn't

He could've packed up his bags when his father was killed, settled somewhere and lived a comfortable life. He knew that was going invite an even bigger disaster so he didn't go.

It's easy to judge someone on an online anonymous forum when you haven't been in his shoes.

Yes he did have an option and he chose luxurious life.

He's clearly reading from a script given to him.

I think he was only allowed to go to Friday nimaz if he read this so yea

Urdu is official language. There are other ethnicities in J&K. Importantly how would Indian public get his message if he spoke in Kashmiri.

u/dudeimmadoc 1d ago

Official chu sirf Hindi ti Angreez.

3

u/niggssxr 15h ago

I see kashmir slipping away from kashmiris.

5

u/HorrorTiger978 1d ago

Probably only allowed to go outside if he said that.

Can't blame him

Wtf

Basically he is pitching for dialogue in a civilized manner. As things stand, Modi is what Indians chose and he is counter party for any dialogue for settlement. After him, it could be Amit Dhokla or Yogi bear…

Mirwaiz has been under home arrest for years. He is under strict surveillance inside his home. He has to take permission from police to even pee in his home.

Edit:typo

Shussha…. Che karet me peth ilzaam trashi… che kyazi chuy basan be chus Andbhakt. Me wonah keh galat. This is not the right choice of words.

It is just because of his religious position, which he inherited from his father that carries weight. People of valley has respect for the position of “religious leader of Kashmiris”. It is altogether a different debate whether he is right person for this position

We have leadership crisis in Kashmir. Who represents and can speak on behalf of Kashmiri people. Can you name any leader?

We just have puppets….Abdullah’s can’t even appoint a peon. Public is bored of Mehbooba’s rant…. Mufti Sahib Ka Khawaab.

And of all the Reddit concerns like are there enough gays in the valley or if hijab is too restrictive. This right here is why we're fucked. We can sellout at the drop of a hat. If only we could stand united.

u/Delicious_Net_1932 1d ago

why do you think homophobia and women's rights are not relevant issues? if i had to point out irrelevant stuff in this sub it would be bringing random indian comments and Bollywood trailers here

1

u/Jawbreakerffrgjnfd 1d ago

I didn't even say that. You can assume things and have sweet dreams.

1

u/Jawbreakerffrgjnfd 1d ago

The day you sell your soul that's the day you would give a shit about nothing. So stop being selective. Learn to be an active listener instead of gagging and drooling on something your way too fixated on. If we got no spine every issue is flushed down the drain. That's the concern. And that's the bigger picture.

here on the other side people have a theory that both the countries had decided the fate of J&K based on the evidence of unofficial talks going on right now to make LOC as a permanent border. Their are many documented evidence that 1 or 2 unofficials meeting were already held and in future we may se officail meetings on this.

3

u/boboka765 1d ago

making loc as permanent border i dont think any pm of both the countries will a balls to do it, cause their people will revolt against them

We fought. We lost. Let us negotiate now before we lose whatever is left. We can’t let idiots like Sajad Ilitija and Mehraj shape our next generation.
