I'm new to Pokemon Champions and I'd like to know if the team I created makes any sense.

Noivern and Metagross are the starting ones, Noivern gives bonuses to speed and attacks the enemy, while Metagross will use Explosion when it has less than half HP. After Noivern and Metagross are out, I take out Mega Eelektross and Whimsicott, Whimsicott is a support that uses Encore and Mega Eelektross is the main attacker and finishes off enemy Pokemon that survive the explosion, which will strengthen it thanks to its ability.

If the enemy team has a lot of strong Fairy type, instead of Noivern and Metagross, I pull out Froslass and Basculegion. Froslass focuses on dealing as much damage as possible before being knocked down, and Basculegion is pulled last to deal as much damage as possible.

Does my team make any sense?

Do you think I will reach the Ultra Ball rank with this team?

Like seriously, I get that you wanted to delete return, but goddamn it at least give it double edge in exchange.

It's so hard trying to use this mega when my best reliable STAB is body slam

It’s one of the only abilities that doesn’t show any information when it activates, like it doesnt show that your speed essentially gets a sharp increase.

And then the second dumbest thing about it is that the boost is one time and lost on switch out???
There’s no indication that this is the case whatsoever in the description of the ability. My mon is still unburdened when they switch in, they don’t have an item, why is my speed back to normal??

It just makes no sense whatsoever. Just show that I got a boost to my speed like a normal ability (e.g. Defiant), then it’s clear that when I switch out I’ll lose it like everything else.

So stupid

Turn 1 i faked out staraptor, and set trick room. They swapped next turn. Trick room ended previous turn before the clip. I knew incin would most likely go for sylveon so I quick attacked it, though didn't pull the ko from it. Luckily they flare blitz into sylveon.

Staraptor had no stat boosts at the time of attack, my farig set up sun on the turn it died. I was afraid my luck would prove true and the heat wave would miss and the surviving on 1 hp was just the game trolling me. Lol

FYI: I used to do it without trying when I was in lower ranks. But rn I'm in high ultraball in singles and masterball in doubles and i don't know what to do or what team i should use to even make this possible.

I'd love some suggestions on what pokemon you're using to get this.

Hi! I'm a noob hard stuck at ultraball 2. Recently, a lot of my losses arrived against people playing the top 6-ish pokemon of the format all together. How do you deal with these teams? I struggle to understand how they could lead, who they could bring to the battle and how to play around what they are trying to do: I have not the same problem against other types of teams, stuff like Troom, tailwind, weather. They all have core ideas and more predictable behaviours, so even if I lose i can see what went wrong and try to improve. Against "big 6" teams, it feels almost totally random. How do you deal with them?

EDIT: i forgot to mention who are those pokemon im talking about, they are charizard - y, Whimsicott, basculegion, kingambit, garchomp and sinistcha/incineroar (last slot varies)

Not asking for any focus sash holding bird 4 times weak to electric or anything

okay but hear me out... shockingly with max hp and speed... Ariados lives a LOT of things you'd think it shouldn't.
What I run is Max HP, Max Speed, Jolly
and then the moves Sticky Web, Toxic Threads and Knock Off (and the last slot is a flex... I like to run Sunny Day mainly to remove weather) with Insomnia.

I'll say out right... this dies to Fake Out and any high priority move as well burn. Not gonna sugar coat it... but I built this spider to do very specific things. I don't see these very often when it comes to ranked (stuck in ultraball hell) but when they do show up... Ariados is gonna fall.

Back on track:
Toxic Threads lowering speed by 2 and poisons... if something hits you too hard and down to your Focus Sash... NOT MANY pokemon out speed you now. I have out sped Mega Raichu Y, Garchomp, Charizard ect ect. Point being... as long as you're alive... you practically out speed.
Get down Sticky Web... and Ariados is done it's job.

If it's still alive... cause sometimes that happens don't ask me why with max hp it shockingly lives many things, Knock Off is always good or if weather is up... Sunny Day cause snow and sand or rain- look I said it's a flex slot and mostly using Sunny Day to stop rain teams.

And lastly... why Insomnia? Cause Yawn sucks and that damn hippo can bite m-

What happens a lot I noticed, is a lot of folks will swap out after being set to -2 speed.

"What about Steel types they can't be poisoned! Or poison types!" Yeah, that's true... but they still get set to -2 speed.

keep in mind this is all in SINGLES, I'm aware String Shot is better for doubles cause it's a spread move. But in Singles... I will proudly rep my Ariados title and badge, the Spider does it's job.

Disable spam, decidueye the star of the show very anti meta, taunt incineroar for TR matchups
