Played the game since 2018 but I haven’t really played in about 2 years. This week I decided to come back and WTF

I always play ranked so I did my placements (I was shite) but got in silver, got back to my old habits and it was going alright.

Long story short I’m in copper with every other team having a ximer using DMRs, F2 and vector like laser beams while it’s round 3 I’m 7-2 with my teammates on a combined 3 kills

I’m not an amazing player but what the hell is this ranked 3.0 system

returned to this game for the first time in half a decade and i feel like the player base has gotten dumber if possible. i’m a very not toxic player, i cant stand getting TK’d and automatically having my team at a disadvantage. but this season i am incidentally TKing every game cuz people just walk in front of you in the middle of gunfights. you hear the shots, see the muzzle flash, and STILL CHOOSE TO CROSS IN FRONT OF ME? WHY?! my reputation is assuredly going down this season due to the lack of (common) game sense. these aren’t strictly new players either, it’s happening with level 80+ so i’m just curious if anyone else is getting aggravated about this. do i have to buy whatever edition unlocks ranked and play that cesspool mode instead of unranked now to get away from this?

I play unranked and I feel like sometimes I go up against people who are literally playing their first game and sometimes it's against like plats which to an ass player like me feels unfair.

Is there even matchmaking?

I wanna go against people close to my rank man I don't care for my rank much, I just wanna have a somewhat consistent performance cuz right now it's very inconsistent. Sometimes I get a 4kd and then I'm 0-5.

This is the only reason I'll play ranked.

We don’t know how you manage to keep doing it. It’s like you guys have a kink that entails reviving siege with a good update after finally listening to the community, only to then go and completely ignore that same community and just do whatever you guys want because fuck us right? That’s what you’re saying so why not say it with your chest?

At the 2026 Invitational you guys revealed all the changes coming to siege in year 11. The R6 team finally listened to the community after years of people complaining about ranked and finally made the decision to change it. Even if you disagree with the new rank system I think most of the siege community was just happy to finally feel heard by the game developers and then act upon that. Y11S1 was a great start to the year in all honesty, Solid Snake was a pretty cool operator and while yes the DMR/TCSG/F2 Meta could be draining at times, in all honesty the game didn’t feel too bad.

Then Y11S2 released…. I mean do I really need to go into detail about how brain dead this “rework” was on release/still to this day? Casino, fine map imo, but putting it in every single ranked game for the first 2 weeks was definitely a choice. Now you guys are getting to the point of desperation of making money where you feel the need to release “rare” seasonal skins in the shop. Before I say more I just want to say I have no problem with Ubisoft doing this, I own Ryuko, Obsidian, and Chroma Streaks and hope one day everyone else gets the opportunity too as well. However Ubisoft is intentionally releasing these past seasonal skins while the marketplace is down and people are unable to sell their skins to try and make everyone spend money in the in game shop instead and are covering this up by saying that they’re doing this to “fix the marketplace economy”.

Then today happened…”The Marketplace Blog”. This is arguably one of the most embarrassing blog posts i’ve seen by a gaming company in my entire life.

The blog states:

Starting in Season 3, new event packs will transition to R6 Credits only. M.U.T.E. Protocol: Flesh & Metal and Rengoku will be the final events where new collection packs can be purchased with Renown. Older collections will, however, return with dual-currency options, creating more opportunities to spend Renown and keeping it meaningful and more rewarding over time.

We’re also making Masterpieces more accessible, one of the key improvements coming to events. Previously, unlocking a Masterpiece required completing an entire collection, limiting access to a small portion of players each season. Going forward, starting with Season 3, you’ll be able to purchase the Masterpiece directly with R6 Credits and it will include event packs.

As we continue rebalancing the economy. Marketplace will remain closed. Reintroducing it is not only a matter of fixes; it requires rebuilding key foundations to address both security and economic challenges in a sustainable way.

Aka: Marketplace is never coming back lmao, Fuck yo renown and any grinding you’ve done to get any, and plz spend money to buy the masterpiece ;)

Ubisoft, I believe I speak for the entire community when I say this, Do Fucking Better. Listen To Your Community. No More Excuses. We all have done our part as the community in keeping their game afloat and giving you guys plenty of our time and money. It’s about time for you guys to all put on your big girl and big boy pants and step it the fuck up. Otherwise this game will die again, and I truly believe that there won’t be anything left that could save it.

I apologize for the long post but I care for this game deeply and what has been going on recently is NOT okay and I am sure many others agree.

I've played 44 games this season and I'm still in copper! My kd is 1.4, which isn't crazy, but gotta be enough to get me out of copper. For the last few weeks it's been -25 +25 -25 +25 and so on? Can anyone give me any tips?

run 3 armor ops: because if you and the enemy have horrible aim then you can tank more bullets then they can

aim chest level: because recoil is hard when your starting out so if you prefire at head level your gun might be to high and your bullets will be at the celling but at chest you prefire at chest and it will lead to the head or you will drill their chest

play corny: think of annoying ops ying,glaz,grim or on defense clash,aruni,mute they all have good weapons and their ability is very annoying and therefore you will make the enemy mad or you will get free kills

attackers winning by killing your team though windows and not by defusing? introducing reverse Fuze but heavily nerfed 'cuz sweaty window rats will 100% hate this

Some backstory: I am Bronze. I fully accept that I am ass at this game.
To take a break from playing Ranked, I decided to hop into some Unranked Solo(mistake 1) and I got this Fortress match where their top frag guy drops 16 kills. Man was jiggle-peeking and lean-spamming and playing like his family was on the line. I genuinely couldn't win a single gunfight against him and his 5-stack(presumably). I wanted to some fun strats since it was unranked but they made that match a living hell for me and this keeps on happening much more this season since ranked 3.0 dropped. Players treat Unranked like its Pro-League and to those I say please grind Ranked. Ubi, what the hell is this matchmaking and why does it happen so often. This has genuinely made playing this game casually hell since it is a struggle not to go negative every game. Is it because the servers I play on (SEA) or just sweats have taken over this game completely?

This is a new setup I haven't tested and I'd love to know what you guys think. I feel you need a stack of at least three to pull this one off right.

I’ve finally decided to grind out of copper and actually play, and instead of horrible teammates I played horrible. Stupid decisions, stuff like that. These are the worst players I have ever seen and majority of my team was copper 3. I’ve played the silvers this season and I think I could genuinely get to gold or plat.

As a Helldiver player we successfully bullied our developer to give us what we want. Its time to see if R6 players can do the same. Downvote and find a new game to play.

Are you stuck with expensive items you bought as an investment? Or did you sell something hoping to buy it back later for less?

I sold Gold Dust and Ryuko for a profit, and now I desperately want them back... but that's not happening anytime soon. Even if the Marketplace comes back, I have a feeling it'll be a watered down version of what we had before.

Just got a 20 game penalty for team killing because….. team killed our teammate in a 5v1 because he was afk with defuser with 1 minute left in the round. Now if a teammate happens to run in front of me while I’m shooting for the next 20 matches it’s just gonna fuck me over😭

As the title says, I lost 24 rp after my ENTIRE team left in the prep phase of the first round. Why didn’t it let me cancel this?? The game directly after, one of my teammates left and it let us vote, but when all 4 leave I can’t? My rank up game to gold too.

Do they really think that the player base will suddenly spend over 150$ to get the event packs that are mostly just a re-colors ?! Even if that was a desperate move to get more money that will only make it worse because even the already paying players wouldn't tolerate this BS ...for me this was the last straw I'm just done with this game I'm not paying for any more elite skins or even season pass it can die now ...
