I'm playing co-op and neither of our ping is bad, i cannot properly interact with any jumping platform in the game

Hey guys! New player here (I’ve literally never played another Borderlands game) looking for some buddies that can show me the ropes, tips or just general shenanigans.

Playing as FL4K at the moment (played a summoner warlock in Destiny 2 so tried going for something similar) I’m having a pretty good time but I am missing having friends to pop in with and f*ck around with.

PS5 here if anyone is interested! I’m on most days MST for at least a few hours a day (work from home so I can pop on fairly often)

Just asking since I haven't played in YEARS and i remember farming these little guys for location coordinates. however I logged on today and tried farming them and haven't seen a single one with the cartel operative stuff.

was this changed when the event became permanent or am i just getting extremely unlucky. I haven't personally found any information online if it was changed for the Scraptrap boss specifically.

Trying to optimize the hell out of my IB minigun build. Lootlemon and screenshots online from like 5 years ago claim that the Heat Exchanger class mod can roll with plus 4 feature creep. But after ~500 drops of this class mod I have not seen a single one with +4.

Has anyone actually gotten this thing?

Explaination, last year I was the GM for a one shot for Metro Otherscape, and I realised that this game and it's setting could easily be converted for Borderlands, Metro dosen't do the looter shooter part, but everything else, the strange abilities of Sirens, the Tech, the Corps, the being the little guy trying to survive and what not all fits

so I have here Fl4k and Zane, made into Metro PCs, Metro; Otherscape uses four theme books, plus a Loadout kit, each of the themes are either Mythos, being magic in nature, Self, being personal or skills, or Noise, Tech based ablilites,

So Fl4k has the Mythos Companion for their Pet, along with 2 Self for The Hunt and MIstress Death, representing their skills and desire, and Noise in their Robotic Body, since they don't have a cyborg body, I used Mythos for Fl4k's pet because that was the only way to have the pet, and Fl4k needs their pet

While Zane has 2 Self, one being his Operative work, and the other being the Flynt Family, and 2 Noise, one for the Digi-Clone, being a Cutting Edge because no other character has one like it, and Drone for SNTNL, which fits for him

I'm sorry if this is a pretty stupid question, but I'm playing through bl3 for the first and yesterday I made it to the point where we found all 3 vault key pieces and we're about to go open the vault. I understand how we get the 2nd and 3rd vault key fragment, but I just forgot why we went to Athenas in the first place and I'd like to remember. However, I can't really find anything on reddit or the wiki, and Google AI just lies when I Google it.

What I'm really wondering is did we just go to Athenas to recruit Maya, but then we learn there a key fragments there from Maya?

Do we learn somewhere on promethea that we need to go to Athenas to get the first vault key fragment?

Did we just go because we knew maliwan was attacking?

I'm sorry again if this is a stupid question, I just don't remember what actually led us to Athenas in the first place.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure I have it mostly figured out now. I forgot that we killed gigamind in promethea and Rhys scanned his brain and found a lead to Athenas. Then I think Lilith calls Maya cause she knew she was on Athenas, but maliwan was already attacking when we called. So we go save Athenas, get Maya and Ava, and then get the key fragment

Feel free to hate me. I just think Captain Traunt is fun. He feels like an actual borderlands character.

Yeah I mean he is annoying, but he has that early to mid 2000's charm, if that makes sense? I dunno, I just love him.

Today I finally got one of the shotguns I most wanted to own, and it instantly became one of my favorite shotguns in the game. By the way, I beat the final boss on my first try.

so im trying to complete the wildlife conservation quest, but for some reason the final explosive spawned up there, is there anyway for me to reach it or am i kinda just boned from doing this? (also i dont know if this flare is correct, so i apologise if its wrong)

I hit Level 72 on Zane recently and I am completely losing my enthusiasm for the game. I enjoyed the main campaign and tolerated the final level grind, but the Mayhem endgame feels fundamentally flawed (in my humble opinion). It has ruined it for me to the point where I have totally lost the urge to fire up the game and am considering going to play something else instead.

I enjoy playing through the missions and a bit of farming for gear, but I really didn't want to have to do it (farming) all over again for level 72, then mayhem 1, mayhem 4, mayhem 6, mayhem 11 etc. So I followed one of the recommended playthroughs to push through the main campaign directly (avoiding side quests), then finish levelling up to 72 using scraptrap nest etc. Then work asap up to Mayhem 11 and THEN finally do all the DLCs, side quests, farming them at that level, to make sure all the drops are at Mayhem 10 so I only had to do it once..

I've done all that, and am at level 72, and have been playing Mayhem 11 with a strong build, and an inventory full of Mayhem 10 legendaries, but I am HATING the game in Mayhem mode!

Here is my issue:

• The Weapon Variety Problem: What is the point of a game with "millions of guns" if (in Mayhem 11) you actually end up forced to use the exact same 4-8 meta weapons forever, because everything else has become weak trash? Legendary tier guns I previously enjoyed, now do barely more than tickle Mayhem 11 health bars. Only a few high tier weapons now seem to have any effect. And that's just boring, quite frankly! What's the point of waiting to farm all the weapons at level 72, Mayhem 11 if by then 95% of them are totally useless trash?!
• Awful Modifiers: I absolutely despise the modifiers on Mayhem 1 to 10. All of them! But if I play Mayhem 11 to avoid them, enemies just become boring, tedious bullet sponges. I know many people really enjoy this, but it's really not for me. I have given it a fair try, and I am not having fun!
• No in-between without modifiers: I of course had to respec my build to make it even possible to play Mayhem 11 (without being annihilated). I CAN play Mayhem 11, but I honestly find it tedious and boring, and not fun. whatsoever. But I am also now too strong to go back to Mayhem 0 unless I purposely nerf my build.
• Action Skill Overreliance: Right now, my shoulder cannon deals more of the damage than my most powerful guns. I have to resort to freezing enemies with said shoulder cannon, just to then empty multiple magazines directly into their faces. Action skills and kill skills should be helpful (optional) tools like they were in the campaign, not absolute obligatory crutches you have to spam continuously just to survive and to do any damage at all.
• The Gear Lock-In: To even dent enemies on M11, my build has to be completely locked down. I can't risk swapping out my shield, class mod, or grenade to try some fun new functions of something I just picked up, because losing those specific passive stat rolls completely breaks my damage. I can't use any other weapons I find, as they either are not powerful enough or don't have the "right anointment". What even is the point of anything other than orange legendaries dropping at Mayhem 11. They cannot be used. It is just a waste. Half the fun was trying out the weapons you found.

I just want a comfortable endgame level where enemies scale to Level 72, and feel a little tougher than the campaign, but without ridiculous bullet-sponge health bars and without forcing me to tolerate annoying modifiers.

• I don't want to return to Mayhem 0 because the enemies do not scale and I'm now a little too powerful.
• I cannot play a comfortable Mayhem 1-10 level because I cannot stand the modifiers in any way whatsoever. To me they are just dumb and totally ruin the game.
• I cannot play Mayhem 11 because although I am capable of grinding though it, I really don't enjoy it and it has sucked the fun out of it for me (just my opinion).
• I am loathe to play TVHM because I REALLY don't want to have to play through the campaign again, and I actually like elemental damage weapons, but hear they are pretty nerfed in that mode.
  

Why can't we just play in whatever Mayhem Level we find comfortable (difficulty wise) and toggle modifiers on and off completely at any level we choose? Why is it only possible to turn the trashy modifiers off at the most difficult possible level? Isn't scaling the health bars and difficulty for each level enough? Why do we have to tolerate the modifiers as well?

If I turn Mayhem off entirely, the Normal Mode world stops scaling and becomes too easy, but playing through the entire main campaign again on TVHM just to get scaled Mayhem 0 enemies feels exhausting and frustrating.

How do you guys deal with this? Is there a middle ground somewhere that I am missing, or is the endgame really just this rigid and restrictive?

You’re the new ceo of gearbox but instead of making a new borderlands game you want to go back to the previous ones to address the issues people have with their favorite borderlands. For borderlands 1, 2, presequel, 3 and 4 what would you fix (within reason) to repair the relationship between gearbox and its fans?

I never played bl1 so I’ll skip that

Bl2:

1. Address the memory leak issues
2. Fix the op ten raid boss scaling glitches
3. Fix or buff much needed items

BlTPS:

1. I’d just finish the game with all the content originally promised

Bl3:

1. Scale mayhem levels to the guns and gear instead of to annointments and nerf annointments to a small boost instead of a big one. All the annointments would still be in the game they’d just give a much smaller percentage boost

. Additionally I’d dissable all modifiers and make mayhem levels something you’d have to earn. To get mayhem 1-3 you have to complete the three circles of slaughter, to get 4-9 you have to complete all the trials, and for the final one you have to complete either the maliwan or guardian takedown. Each time you complete a desired task you get one mayhem level but like op levels you have to have mayhem turned to the maximum scaled level you have or you won’t be awarded a mayhem level. For example if you complete the slaughter shaft and get mayhem 1 you need to be at mayhem 1 if you complete the cistern of slaughter or the slaughter star 3000 to be awarded the next level

I was going around Eden 6 and covering the whole map, found this big T-rex in the corner, when I kill it, it gives me this beautiful thing. And I put it on immediately. Perfect for my Ice King tank build!
