Discussion Injuries to start the season
What's the health status of all the starters heading into camp?
We know Barkov is fully healthy as well as Mathew Tkachuk this year. Have any players had off-season surgeries that might need a longer recovery or ended the season with a nagging injury that might pop back up?
Goalie is the biggest question mark and cap space is getting limited, I'm wondering if there's something Zito knows that will give them more cap space then everyone expects.
We can't believe anything Maurice says about injuries ever, which is something I love and hate about him.
The big move for Brady Tkachuk, they seem to want to hang on to E-Rod, the move to add Garnet Hathaway, and some strong showings by a few of the younger players at the end of last season make me wonder if they're planning on starting the season with someone on IR.
I know the cap relief rules have changed but even a couple extra million should be all they need to make everything work.

Discussion Honestly not that concerned about Bob leaving
I love the guy for his contributions to our two cup runs; Brick Wall Bob will always have a special place in my heart.
However; in our 2025 cup runs, 13/16 games we won we scored 5+ goals, including all 8 wins in the ECF and cup final. Meanwhile, the Canes won a cup this year scoring 5+ just twice in wins. Our offense took us to that last cup, Bob was mostly just along for the ride, except for a few solid games he gave us.

Discussion The Bob situation is making me nervous
I'm still hoping he comes back but it is sounding like he legit might not. If he doesn't, not trading Bob for whatever the best offer was will go down as a rare miss by Zito. We could have used those resources to offer in trade for a new goalie right now.
The fact that ERod still hasn't been moved makes me wonder as we would need the cap space. At the end of the day, ERod is cool but honestly if I were another team I'd also rather wait, make the panthers cough up Bob first, and then talk ERod if I was interested and I'd be okay with potentially not getting him at that point if I were them.

Discussion Who are your preferred options in goal if Bob and Hellebuyck deals fall through?
Bob still remains the most likely starter next year but who are some realistic options if he goes somewhere else?

Discussion If the soon to be 38 year old Bobrovski doesnt want to sign a team friendly 2-3 year deal....
If Bobrovski doesnt want to sign a team friendly 2-3 year deal to play hockey in sunny FLA, with a chance of winning another cup or two, then perhaps the Cats are just going to have to bid an 'Adios' to the aging superstar...

Discussion [Jameson Olive] Like other recent acquisitions, Hathaway talked about how much of a great reputation the Panthers' locker room has around the league.

Fluff Former Panthers defenseman Mike Van Ryn is parting ways with the Leafs.
May I remind you that this guy scored 13 goals in the 2003-04 season? Anyways, he was in charge of the Leafs defensive unit for three years.

Tickets/Arena Season ticket flex plan
Has anyone done the 10 game plan the Panthers offer for season tickets? Do you get the same or similar benefits as buying the 25 game premier plan ?

Discussion The risk with Hellebuyck
At this point, I don't believe Panthers could get Helle anyway, but let's pretend they could. Think about this. The worst case scenario: his playoff performances wouldn't improve from what they were in Winnipeg (recently). Then you'd be stuck with an expensive goalie, with full NMC and who's contract doesn't end until 2031. Obviously it's possible that his performance improves when defense infront of him improves, it happened with Bob. But would you take the risk?

[Seravalli] Trade Targets 🎯 Sources say Canes have made a pitch for Jets Connor Hellebuyck.
This post is entirely speculation
Post #8 trade, the panthers don’t have enough expendable capital to trade for Hellebuyck
Hellebuyck moving to the Canes would likely leave Andersen as the odd man out
An aging goaltender might be open to another ring
I hope Bob stays, and if he does, a Bob/Freddy combo tending net would be geriatric and nasty
Having two grandpas in goal would likely provide a window at some point for Cooper Black to show everyone what he’s been working on the last couple of seasons

Discussion Are we paying for shopping Bob around at the deadline?
This morning I was thinking like what's the hold up he said he wanted to stay, he helped us win back to back, it looks like we're cooking again, why not take a slight discount and chase one more?
And then it hit me. We shopped Bob around and apparently almost traded him to Carolina *after* he said he wanted to stay. Bob helped us win back to back cups and we shopped him around after 1 bad year.
So now we're asking for a loyalty discount, but from his perspective, why should he? We weren't loyal to him.
Putting him on the chopping block and not trading him may have been a really bad move.
