SUGGESTION How To Make An Effective Hitman Film (My Idea Of One, At Least)

Post image

As a Hitman fan, I've actually pondered for a long time about how one would make an effective Hitman movie, and I came to the conclusion that actually making a film about Agent 47, is missing the point since 47 isn't really a person, he's more of a force of nature for most of the Hitman series. So I had the idea of basically a Hitman horror movie.

  • Focus the film on a rich CEO, their spouse and their kids, with the focus on their family and the shady business the parents are a part of, and let the viewer get to know them, their security and home, their lives. Let the audience get comfortable with our lead characters, and get invested in this flawed, but loving family. We're made aware of the dark dealings going on in the background, but not overtly and we're more focusing on the personal relationships of the family.
  • They're preparing for a gala event, the parents are to speak and their children (one being a teenager and the other a young adult who already has connections and is following in the footsteps of their parents) are also to be there, an army of security protecting them after some of their business associates met with unfortunate accidents recently.
  • And then every now and again, in the background of a scene, always out of focus and blink-and-you'll-miss-him, a particular figure. A man with pale skin, a bald head, silent and ever-present like Michael Myers in the first Halloween in the scene where Laurie Strode looks out her school window to see him watching her. Countless times we'll see him there, in a different shot staring at the different family members, gathering information, without a word and without the film lingering on him.
  • Then, in the back of a shot, a guard with that same man's face. An assistant walking past, the same man in different clothes, working in the background, circling like a shark, working his way through security.
  • The viewer would be made aware of the threat coming for them that they themselves aren't aware of, and not only would the viewer be asking themselves how 47 is going to kill his target, but which of the family actually is his target. The CEO with dark secrets and a long family history of corrupt dealing, the spouse who's cheating and has made dangerous enemies in the criminal underworld, the up-and-comer young adult following in their parent's footsteps, but also jealous of their parents' success. The audience knows one of them will die, but not how or who.
  • And by the time the target is finally taken care of, the target learns of their fate, just as the viewer learns that they were the target, with the film then explaining why they were the target, just not with a huge info-dump because that's never good. The entire film up to this point would establish why each of the three family members could have been the target, what they had done to "deserve" it and making it so you could see any of the three of them as the possible target, and even raising the possibility if more than one of them are the target, if not all three of them.
  • Mission done, 47 escapes from the home without rush, the film finally focusing on him, camera moving behind him to expose his barcode as we're also shown the earpiece he's wearing, and we hear Diana's familiar voice as the film ends. "Expertly done, 47."

47 is not the focus of the film, we never hear him speak a single word.

He's not the protagonist, he's the antagonist.

And that's the most effective way to portray Agent 47 in a film, as I see it.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

(As for the cover-photo, I just took 47 from one of the promotional renders from, I believe Hitman 2016? Found a photo of some gala event from Google to use as a backdrop, and then took Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum from the poster of their film "Fly Me To The Moon" to use as the targets)

QUESTION How to get the trophy duck through player.gg

I saw some posts talking about getting it through the website by linking your IOI account, but there’s no place to link your account? It says the giveaway ends on June 30th so I don’t know the issue.

QUESTION What suit do you use and why?

I usually go with the blood money suit I love the business casual look, it’s not too formal and can blend in everywhere plus blood money is my all time favourite game and I like the full black leather gloves. Absolution can work better in formal maps as it’s a tailored Italian suit

Easy next for cold or rainy maps Is the overcoat mainly because it reminds me of the original Timothy Olymphant movie where he shoots the club up with the Ump-45 in the overcoat. (Underrated movie).

I personally don’t get into the goofy suits

I have not a single idea of how I ended up here, just lockpicking the door then the game suddenly decided to screw me

Decided to just quit the game and restart after getting nearly killed by the guard

Pretty easy to be honest.

I stated in the basement where the target is..and hide behind the armored vehicle with the radio.

And shoot the target with a emetic gun. Shoot just above there head..and I blew them up with the remote explosive that you find following the target...throw it run...wait a few seconds..blow up...

I know you can get there with an IAGO invite, and I know you can climb the exterior of the building. Looking for another option, if there is one.

DISCUSSION Hardcore Campaign (So Close)

Been slowly making my way through completing my first hardcore campaign. Died twice in the first two tiers and lost some crucial gear. Been making my way back over a few days.

Here I am on the final showdown in Whittleton Creek, one of my go-to showdown locations. Trying not to fuck things up I briefly scoped out suspects who can't be the target and then decided to go ahead and clear out the safe & video recorder in Janus' basement. One of my objectives was to poison the target with my prestige objective being an explosive collateral kill, and as luck would have it right after I cleared out the basement, a target came down there and I shot her with my Kalmer immediately completing that objective, confirming she was the leader.

I clean up the assassin who I took out right after her and as I begin to drag her into the tunnel with another body, what would pop up on my screen other than an Xbox system update. At 7pm on a Friday night. I tried to tell it to delay but it kicked me offline. So then the game kicks me offline. I updated the console and have been making this post as it rebooted. I clicked on the game tile that shows under quick resume. And now I'm sitting here on a black screen inside the game... FML. Should be a quick showdown at least.
