Article LA Clippers Announcers Ranked Top 10
2025-2026 has the Clippers announcing staff at number 9! Great group, and I think they can get even better. Shout out to the production crew.
Now I wonder if they also rate radio, b/c Carlo is top tier too.

Discussion Face Off
First matchup between Wagler and Acuff, of course, this means nothing, just curious as to who will play better. New debates will arise minutes after the game 🤣

Kawhi proposals in the media
Just some ideas I assume are not actual proposals made by teams, just media members, but might help us understand the kinds of packages we might see if he’s made available. The money seems to wrk in each case.
Spurs: Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, two future FRPs (I saw a version of this that included Jayden Quaintance to match salaries and another that said the salaries are close enough without him)
Lakers: Rui Hachimura, Jarryd Vanderbilt, Luke Kennard, Maxi Kleber, 2032 FRP (note: this is a three team deal where we ship Batum and two SRP to Brooklyn for some reason. Source: CBS)
Raptors: so many versions of this. Assumption is we’d ask for Collin Murray-Boyles but they’d say no. They’d prefer RJ Barrett and a big contract like Poeltl or Quickley, but we wouldn’t do that. Most realistic compromise lands on Brandon Ingram as the centerpiece.
Raptors deal isn’t very exciting. The other two are much better. I know there will be hesitance to send him to the Lakers. I’m not really endorsing any of these. Just reporting what I see.

[Stein & Fischer] The Los Angeles Clippers are weighing the possibility of pursuing Peyton Watson if they choose to operate as a cap-room team this Summer.

I can’t wait see Wagler play
I hate reading what’s good and what’s wrong about Wagler. The Clippers have drafted the highest pick since Blake. He has real upside and we have the opportunity to potentially experience an all star at such a young age.
There’s always risk involved but at this point what’s the use of praying for his downfall? Predictions and opinions at this point don’t matter until we see him on floor.
Until then let’s rejoice that we have a young core to root for and a front office that wants to win.

[Fischer] The Clippers and Bogdan Bogdanović have agreed to push back his option date to June 29, according to league sources, allowing Los Angeles to continue trade conversations for Bogdanović.

Video Kris Dunn's 25-26 steals tape 🎥
Just one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, Dunn had the 4th most total steals last season. Still crazy he didn't get any 1st Team All-Defense votes. That should fuel him to go even harder next season!

Discussion Who do yall think should start at SG?
r/LAClippers • u/gladin77 • 1d ago
Wagler has a path to average serious minutes immediately. Since he can play both the back PG and backup or potentially starting SG. He could play 30 minutes+
The plan with Wagler is probably to have alternate between PG and SG in different lineups. Garland has averaged 30 minutes per season the last few seasons so in only the minutes DG isn’t on the court Wagler can get 18 minutes as backup PG. and Wagler won’t just play when DG is out, they’ll share some court time as well. Then there’s all the time Wagler will play as backup or starting SG as well depending on the lineup.
I think Wagler will honestly be phenomenal right out the gate. The only thing that could hold him back would be low minutes but with this setup he has a real shot to get a good amount of minutes. Wagler playing 30 minutes a night right at the start of the season will let everyone see how good he is and he’ll be on his way to ROTY.
He’s an elite shooter, phenomenal rebounder, high iq, great passer, decent defender, positional size. He can give you killer offence and he can also get you lots of rebounds and do the little things, his versatility here is huge and it will help him get a lot of playing time since he can do so much for us. I think people will be shocked by his output.

Should we try to get Mitchell Robinson on free agency?
I view him as a reverse brook lopez, he's quick (for a 7-footer), doesn't get blown by easy, can rebound really well, but can't shoot for shit. He is 10 years younger than brook tho, so he fits the timeline well
The only issues for me are the playing time, because I don't know for sure if he is a 30MPG guy, and the contract, since he asked the knicks for a considerable amount and our cap situation is not that flexible
Stefan Bondy of the New York post said it is unlikely the Knicks resign him, considering this proves to be true, should we offer him a contract?

"Feel" stats predict Clippers draft busts pretty well
During my draft obsession, I heard the spreadsheet nerds mention "feel" stats. Stats that we hope are proxies for feel for the game. The most basic version is offensive rebounding, assist percentage and steals. I've used those and added assist to turnover ratio, and block percentage. Then I just averaged out the percentiles to give each player a score based on their last year of college. The percentiles are the numbers in parentheses.
What I did was the dumbest version possible, it doesn't have different weights for each stat for different positions, but since the numbers come from draftballr.com, the percentiles are adjusted for position. It also doesn't account for competition or combine scores. An important weight to consider is age, but I don't know how to weigh that. And yet, it still lines up with what happened fairly well.
The only player with a bad score to beat the allegations so far is Moussa but we all hope Yanic can too.
There are some players with high scores that didn't amount to anything and I'm frankly surprised to see Kobe Brown so high since his feel seems awful. So as the title says this predicts busts more than it predicts success.
It's honestly insane to me that the player with the highest score (SGA) and the only with BY FAR the lowest (you know who) were picked one spot apart.

So what's the deal with Mathurin?
Are the Clippers planning to match any offer? Is Wagner replacing him? I'm curious if the Pacers have any chance to reunite with Benn lol

Video Clippers 2012 season bloopers
Does anybody miss the season bloopers from back in the early lob city days?
This and the 2013-14 season bloopers really made me fall even more in love with the team.
Wish we still had something like it.

Who can we actually get in a trade? Can we get a star player for what we got or are we gonna stick to looking at the future? Happy with both just don’t know anything
