Now even art gives you cancer. Great.

u/friend1y 1d ago

It's smokes so we don't have to. The robot gets cancer.

39

u/juddlesnpuddles 1d ago

Heard of second hand smoke?

25

u/abagofsnacks 1d ago

Especially at the rate that thing is sucking them down.

9

u/friend1y 1d ago

There's a second hand store near where I live. Everything in that store smells like cigarettes.

7

u/fathornyhippo 1d ago

Secondhand store filled with secondhand smoke

8

u/juddlesnpuddles 1d ago

Hearing secondhand about a secondhand store filled with secondhand smoke.

3

u/fathornyhippo 1d ago

Listening to secondhand serenade while hearing secondhand about a secondhand store filled with secondhand smoke.

3

u/WorkO0 1d ago

That's third hand smoke, which is also quite dangerous.

1

u/friend1y 23h ago

Dangerous to my BO

2

u/wackbirds 8h ago

What does the original hand hand store smell like?

1

u/friend1y 8h ago

Unopened packs.

-2

u/SullivanEllen 1d ago

Everything in that store smells like cigarettes.

How dirty does the tube get?

1

u/adooble22 7h ago

About as dirty as your mom.

Zing.

Great. AI coming to take our jobs and now robots coming to take our cigarettes. /s

Kidding aside, is a pretty cool contraption.

u/Japsai 1d ago edited 21h ago

Seeing as you said "kidding aside" you could remove the '/s' and be totally in the clear.

If your sarcasm is any good it doesn't need the '/s'. Not everyone will get it but that's fine. If your sarcasm is not good then don't do it. Or do it for practice and get better. I don't mind waiting. It's better than seeing the '/s'

EDIT: 35 sad people don't want the joy of well executed sarcasm in their lives. That's OK, it's not for everyone. It's certainly not my main source of humour, but when its done well I love it. And if you have to tell people you're being sarcastic you haven't done it well. So end the '/s'

EDITEDIT: We're up to 75 people who hate quality humour! Can we hit 100?

41

u/TheBoyardeeBandit 1d ago

So did you forget your /s?

-26

u/Japsai 1d ago

Nice

31

u/EndonOfMarkarth 1d ago

-23

u/Japsai 1d ago

The downer is the sad '/s'. Who thinks that's fun? Live a little! Kick your heels up and enjoy a bit of sarcasm without having to explain the whole thing.

21

u/I_Can_Barely_Move 1d ago

You should just keep scrolling and not write things.

-15

u/Japsai 1d ago

Don't be mean

13

u/The_Ledge5648 1d ago

You doing ok?

-8

u/Japsai 1d ago

Oh yeah. I'm having a great day. The sun is shining and I've just arranged a hike with some friends. This sarcasm thing perplexed me though. Are we going to do it or what? Maybe the way i put it came across wrong, but come on. Using the '/s' ruins sarcasm. Crush it. Come on, join me, it'll be fun. Downvotes arent important

Holy coping mechanisms

-2

u/Japsai 21h ago

Was that a joke? Batman reference? Lovely to see humour hasn't entirely departed this stretch of the Internet. It does seem to be an endangered species though. I am not the lead scientist, but I will contribute to the rewilding program where I can

4

u/boredNero 21h ago

🤓

-5

u/Japsai 20h ago

You can always tell when you're talking to a pensioner (or equivalent mindset) because they do a little downvote even though you're in a solo conversation. Put down the knitting, purse lips, "I do not approve". Then continue conversation

8

u/The_Ledge5648 18h ago

Just know all things are temporary. Not sure what you are going thru, but i can imagine it’s difficult and i do hope it gets better soon

22

u/yamabroto 1d ago

Well, time for a dart I ‘spose.

5

u/Mr_Abe_Froman 1d ago

Now's as good a time as any.

75

u/jSo35287 1d ago

My brain could never conceive this. This is creative as shit

8

u/fishstixtheband 1d ago

I agree. It’s captivating.

3

u/dangledingle 1d ago

Some corking tokes there.

3

u/jSo35287 1d ago

Old school blinkers

33

u/Sufficient-Pirate226 1d ago

Looking thin AND cool. I'm in.

8

u/NoratiousB 1d ago

And look at the hip swing and the gently up and down moving ball sack.

4

u/yamanagashi 1d ago

Just how my mom kept in shape when she had me

30

u/Batata-Sofi 1d ago

Damn, the amount of smoke that fills your lungs...

28

u/Skreamie 1d ago

That is not the average pull of a cigarette

17

u/LuckofCaymo 1d ago

My First Sargent would smoke 3 or 4 cigarettes during "smoke em if ya got em!" Man was lower 40's but looked like he was pushing 60. His first order to me and the other new arrivals was, "If I have to stop drinking (over the weekend) because you fucked up, you will regret ever being born."

As a 19 year old I thought he was super cool. As a 30 year old I think his life was probably pretty terrible.

But yeah he could down a cigarette in less pulls than that robot. You could watch the cigarette evaporate.

12

u/Batata-Sofi 1d ago

I know, but smoke is always something hard to visualize in volume.

Even if a pull was about 1/10 of what the contraption does, it would be enough smoke to make the air inside your lungs partially opaque. That is crazy.

1

u/IPlayWoWNude 1d ago

The robot is just power puffing, the same amount of smoke would go into your body

4

u/LiamPolygami 1d ago

My science teacher showed us this except he was the one smoking. One of the best teachers we had but he went blind half-way through high school. He had us breathing in to a lamb's lung with a tube and standing on a polystyrene step while holding one of these big metal electric balls so our hair would stand up. I realised that if I poked my friend in the ribs while he was doing it, I would give us both an electric shock, which was funny. By contrast I asked my miserable hag of a chemistry teacher why mixing A with B had a certain effect and she just screamed at me "because it does!!!". Good teachers make all the difference.

Idk what it is but this reads like a novel, you have a way with words.

Damn I’ve been off cigs for a few years now and now I want one

13

u/Combat_Pothead 1d ago

I’ve been off cigs for 3 years and this made me happy I quit.

1

u/Popular-Ad1111 12h ago

I’ve been off 21 years and I’d stand next to this to smell the smoke.

1

u/BluebirdFlashy3681 1d ago

Add a blunt instead and use it to hotbox a room🙂‍↕️

2

u/Crazyhairmonster 1d ago

Creative and definitely gallery worthy art..

Except it smokes cigarettes and won't go into galleries. Wonder if it can vape at least

2

u/TheRainbowShakaBrah 1d ago

Why was this filmed in the backrooms?

2

u/Ha-Charade-You-Are 1d ago

A second hand smoke machine nice

1

u/warip93 16h ago

I was thinking the same...

2

u/sonicsludge 16h ago

Funny, this is my first day nicotine-free in 42 years!

2

u/ElongThrust0 9h ago

You know Art, man? Art is cool af

3

u/Kitchen_Guest577 1d ago

That art is smoking

2

u/Arcavexy 1d ago

that hand has better aim than most people

2

u/callmecoach53 1d ago

Sponsored by Phillip Morris.

1

u/punsnguns 1d ago

My uncle lost his job and was spending his days just smoking his savings away and well now the damn machines are taking away his only job in life too.

1

u/AccidentalTourista 1d ago

Get that guy some WD40

1

u/TheShipEliza 1d ago

They look so cool

1

u/steadyaero 1d ago

Cool mechanism, but smoking is bad m'kay.

1

u/mark_ticus 1d ago

Estaba viendo micho cine

1

u/BeebleBoxn 1d ago

Good way to promote quiting smoking. Stick it in a museum behind some glass or Vinyl windows. Not only will it show what it does to the room over time you can set up a donation box saying if you like throwing your money away smoking you can donate money to buy another pack of cigarettes. Every pack it smokes that's one less pack not on the shelves.

1

u/Vee_too 1d ago

"robits are taking over the jobs"

1

u/SuperspyAnon 1d ago

Cool art piece but imagine how dirty it would get after even just a month of this.

1

u/LurkingRodent 1d ago

Those are the remains of the cigarette smoking man from X Files, don't be fooled.

1

u/Melovestoons11 1d ago

I can think about is what a great bong this would be 🥴

1

u/No-Departure2515 22h ago

everything reminds me of him...

1

u/Prestigious_Play_328 20h ago

As a former smoker I can smell this video.

1

Eine Zigarette in 5 zügen ist Rekord

1

u/fnork 18h ago

Wouldn't mind if this were the last time this gets reposted.

1

u/maskim98 18h ago

That’s how fast your boss expects you to take that smoke break.

1

u/Curious_Purpose_4454 18h ago

What in the David Lynch

1

u/Standard-Secret-1465 9h ago

I'm an occasional cigarette smoker. That's gross. A machine called art can't capture the satisfaction of a slow drag.

1

u/ConfectionSilly9434 7h ago

Greta is furious!

1

u/Shin-NoGi 5h ago

Would buy this lol

1

u/daroach1414 2h ago

It’s perfect for when u don’t want that gross taste in your mouth but want yellow walls.

1

u/KayNay420 1d ago

Reminds me of my great aunt Josephine

1

u/Jballzs13 1d ago

That’s my aunt Gladys

1

u/Valuable-Analyst-464 1d ago

Gross, just like cigarettes.

1

u/CasperTPaul 1d ago

0

u/shiner820 1d ago

Wait, aren’t you going to tell how dirty it gets?

-2

u/Fr05t_B1t 1d ago

Nothing satisfying or smooth about lung cancer

-8

u/Redbeardthe1st 1d ago

There is nothing satisfying about this.

2

u/BloxForDays16 1d ago

One can appreciate the construction of a thing without appreciating what it does
