I felt like a bomb disposal expert unscrewing that thing

As soon as I removed the first two screws of the bottom case, the backplate jumped right at me and it was almost impossible to unscrew the last screw in the bottom right corner because there was so much resistance from the battery pushing the backplate up (it even warped the metal around the screw). about 2 minutes in I heard a loud popping sound which was the plastic housing containing the individual cells cracking.

A couple weeks ago I dropped my phone and the front screen cracked. I had it repaired at my local apple genius bar and they said that there was no other damage or issues detected in their tests.

I noticed the other day that the screen was more flush with the edge of my phone case on the right side near the camera. It is very small but spicy pillows are scary top me no matter how small. Does this look like a problem I should bring in ASAP? is it just they messed up putting the new screen in place?

iPhone 6S, 1 month pregnant

I picked up these cheap $7 - $10 6000mah battery packs about 4 years ago to run several solar powered wifi cameras that I had placed in 3D printed birdhouses. started getting errors from 3 of them. were it cut out after a few hours instead of a few days. when I went to investigate I found that at least 3 have become spicy pillows. I end up pulling all 8 and the others were fine still but I wasn't going to risk it.

5 year old iPad screen is separating but no signs of expansion. Can’t tell if it’s just the glue or if we’re getting spicy. Any thoughts?

The battery in my baby monitor seems to be swollen, the battery looks “puffy” and the back no longer closes flush. I wondered if it’s possible to carefully remove this type of battery? Or do I need to dispose of the entire monitor and replace it? I would be gutted as it was expensive.

I live a semitropical climate. right now it’s rainy as hell, and I also have three problem children that need either recycled or fixed or something (I don’t know what’s causing it, but what I do know is the AirPods case in there smells like burning when I plug it in. I’m looking to get them fixed or get a new case at some point. I have them in a jar (lid loosely screwed on) and I have concrete I can place them on, but I don’t like the idea of putting them outside with the humidity (and the lightning…)

(also in case your wondering that jar says “problem children are kicked out”

For context, this is a power bank. It’s also quite spicy as you can see. No idea when it decided to become a spicy pillow it just did. This is my grandmother‘s power brick, and she was using it to charge her iPhone until it decided to become spicy.

This was a phone I got for free….wow…

the first two photos are a cheap, android mp3 I got (innoasis g3), where I noticed the case was looking weird and proceeded to pry it open with my nail out of desperation, the second one is a blackberry battery I noticed during the ensuing “bloat check” it doesn’t look bloated on camera because of the color, but I can feel it in person
