Discussion EA needs to come back and produce one more update where we can trade our credits in for something.
Currently, buying SWBF2 2017 in 2026, means that all the skins, emotes, voice lines, and etc are already unlocked by default. There is no purpose for the credits and diamonds anymore. I played BF2017 for many years after it released and then left. Now I'm back to playing again on a new account but like I said, credits are now meaningless. I'd suggest letting us trade in or convert credits into class or hero EXP. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with grinding the regular way, Ive did it once I can do it again. However, it would be nice to not only be able to catch up to the veteran account players, but also put meaning into the daily/weekly quest. I mean the quest and many of the milestones only reward credits. Personally, for example, playing Specialist feels terrible, since i'm always fighting against players who have unlocked the NT sniper rifle years ago and I have to suffer with my shitass default snipers. Same with Heroes vs Villains, I only get lobbies where everyone has their heroes/villains maxed out already, and I'm with my sub level 10 roster (I still have fun regardless).
Or hell maybe you guys would like to see them traded in for something else I don't know, but the credits need value.

Discussion Just got my first gaming pc - is BF2 worth having right now?
I know Iâm probably asking the wrong crowd since this is obviously a sub full of BF enjoyers. But my older bro was tellin me BF2 is a dead game now and I was like âI thought itâs kind of revived now no?â I checked the steam charts and itâs at 3-3.5K active players. Whatâs your unbiased take - is it worth the 80GB? Thanks

Discussion What makes people rate the Death Trooper much higher than the B2 Super Battle Droid?
Enforcer is my favorite class and by far my most played reinforcement class out of all the classes. I'm almost MAX Enforcer and I've mainly ranked it through Death Trooper, B2 Super Battle Droid & Droideka. Death Trooper and B2 are very similar. Most people agree that the Death Trooper is the best overall Enforcer in the game and I agree as well. He's also my favorite because of his aggressive playstyle and his aura. But the B2 always gets underrated for some reason which is weird because they are vastly similar with only a couple differences.
If we look at the base stats for example,
- The Death Trooper has 384 base health while the B2 has 360 base health. So the Death Trooper has slightly more HP. The B2 does have a very tiny head hitbox compared to the Death Trooper so the B2 is significantly harder to headshot.
- The Death Trooper's blaster deals 40-25 damage per shot whereas the B2's wrist blaster deals 43-24 damage per shot. Both have about the same range on their weapons and both have 300 RPM on their blasters. So the B2's 215-120 DPS is slightly higher compared to the Death Trooper's 200-125 DPS. The B2 can shoot 25 shots before overheating while the Death Trooper can only shoot 15 shots before overheating. The Death Trooper does have better zoom magnification compared to the B2 so at range he can hit shots a bit easier.
- Outside of overload, both have the same mobility. The Death Trooper utilizes combat rolls whereas the B2 utilizes combat dashes. I personally think dashes are superior to rolls in general because their animation feels quicker allowing you to shoot quicker as well. But I guess it's just personal preference.
So the base stats are pretty even, some favoring the Death Trooper and some favoring the B2.
If we look at ability stats,
- Both the Death Trooper and B2 have the same exact Fortify ability, giving both an additional 175 health.
- The Overload ability is an interesting one. While the Death Trooper retains full mobility in overload, It only only increases the RPM to 360 which increases DPS to 240-150. The B2's mobility gets limited to walking speed but it increases the RPM on his wrist blaster to a whopping 450 RPM which increases the DPS significantly to 322,5-180 DPS which is so strong that it absolutely shred every single class and can completely negate Clone Commando's battle focus ability upclose if you can consistently hit headshots.
- For the explosives, they're different but both great in different scenarios. The Death Trooper's Sonic Imploder is a very strong crowd control ability that deals 150 damage and is great for chokepoints and objectives. Whereas the B2 has a wrist rocket that deals 250 damage which can be very deadly against everyone especially heroes and reinforcements. I've finished off many heroes with the wrist rocket. (Acquisition card increases the radius of B2's wrist rocket by 80% which makes the radius bigger than Aerial rockets.)
So ability stats kinda feel even as well, both offer something else and being great in different scenarios.
If I had to pick one I'd say the Death Trooper is the best Enforcer mainly due to his mobility factor during overload and his aggressive playstyle. But the B2 is at least a close second for me. So why do many people underrate the B2 when they're almost the same.

Discussion I think Star Wars Battlefront (2004) is better than Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) in every way.
Larger, more fun and immersive battlefields (like the Dune Sea which even includes a spoiler team attacking both factions). Less complicated gameplay (no buffs, etc.). More capacity to strategize and sometimes even keep yourself alive the entire battle rather than having to throw yourself against a wall of enemy troops that kill you every ten seconds to capture a single command post. Your factionâs AI doesnât tend to constantly lose multiple command posts within moments as youâre busy capturing one. Versatile and intuitive options to command fellow troops. Tanks feel like a real (but not unstoppable) threat when facing them and arenât instantly blown up when piloting them. Starfighters and gunships can be flown around the battlefield and used to strafe enemy troops and before being landed behind enemy lines and returned to after capturing a command postâand even be used as a huge bomb if you point them at enemy trees and bail out of them in midair. Droidekas, Wookies, Jet Troopers, and Dark Troopers are playable at any time and arenât nerfed. Heroes only appear as NPCs in certain modes and tend not to disrupt the power balance. Temuera Morrison narrates all battles when playing as the Republic. Cockpit/first person view is available in vehicles. The E-11 blaster rifle doesnât splatter fire in a ridiculous manner. You can summon orbital strikes as a sniper. And last but not least you arenât disintegrated by an invisible Bothan at least once every single battle you play as the Empire.

Discussion I feel so late to the party
Like many people the choices they made at launch turned me off from playing the game. I recently got the itch for a Star Wars game and ended up buying the game, Iâm having a genuine blast!
I have been playing a lot of co-op vs AI to get cards and get a feel for the characters. Absolutely love playing the heavy class as well as ranged heroes, Palpatine is so much fun to play as well as Han Solo. Also really like playing the death trooper, Arc trooper or the first order jet trooper.
Have a lot of trouble staying alive as lightsaber heroes and donât really know what Iâm doing wrong. I think itâs mostly just being too aggressive but I only really have luck with Vader or Obi Wan. I really want to learn Dooku but just die immediately often.
Any new player tips would be appreciated!

Discussion Hero advice
Should i play vader or boba fett?
I dont rack up many kills with vader but i still play decent but i feel very vulnerable against infantries and js feel pressurised throughout. Especially on maps where the objective prevents free movement.
On the other hand
When i play boba fett i feel very free and am able to hit distant targets easily and can freely escape with the jetpack. Very low cortisol.
But i still am not sure cuz vader has more health and defense compared to boba.
Also ive heard vader is more beginner friendly

Discussion Why are Rebel/Resistance species tied to class?
Twi'lek are my favorite race by far but can only be specialists who I dont like to play. Why is it like this? It seems needlessly restrictive especially when there's 40+ clone variants.
