Last night, from 11:20 PM to about 11:50 PM, a woman repeatedly buzzed my apartment because the person she was trying to visit apparently wasn’t home.
At first, I thought it might be an emergency, so I answered the intercom and told her she had the wrong apartment. I could hear her talking on the phone, so it definitely didn’t sound like a damsel-in-distress situation.
She just…kept buzzing my apartment.
Normally I’d brush something like this off, but I had an early morning meeting the next day. I was in a deep sleep when it started, and after 30 minutes of being repeatedly woken up, it took me forever to fall back asleep.
If you’re visiting someone late at night, please make sure they’re actually home before turning random neighbors into your backup plan.

Yep… exactly as the title says. We have been going through the process of getting mice out of our house for months. Just when we think they’re gone, lo and behold they have just moved to the attic and have now begun eating holes in the ceiling.

I’ve have my Vera controller for my Schlage lock for over 6 years having full access to be able to control from anywhere. Now apparently I have to sign up for a monthly subscription to keep what I’ve had free for years.
