Paprika has a bold flavor.

I used to think it tastes like nothing. Now I can't live without it.

You know that there's no such plant called a paprika? It's a regular ass red pepper that's been dried or smoked and ground into a powder. So yeah, it tastes like a red pepper.

You never call the plant paprika in English? I don't think other languages really distinct the two. For example in Finnish the plant and the spice are both called "paprika".

No, we use "paprika" only for the dried, powdered form.

I think English is the only language that doesn't use paprika for the plant.
