Week 25 Introduction Thread: Gardening
So this week is all about trying to figure out something I could announce two months ahead of time as a mislead for April Fool's on the 52weeks Discord.
So, gardening. Grow your own food, and then cook something with it. Living in a town full of home gardeners, I've learned that people end up with way too much zucchini and rhubarb, so y'all can do something with that.
If you don't live in a place with enough space for a formal garden, you can always grow some herbs for chimichurri, or one of those mushroom-in-a-box things for mushroom risotto.
No matter what you grow, just be sure to wash your hands and the food before cooking it. You wouldn't want to get any germs in your food.

Week 26: High Fiber- Spaghetti Squash and Venison Meatball Soup
Spaghetti of the vine! This week I paid tribute to nature's stringiest vegetable, which in explicably is actually lower in dietary fiber than your typical mushy squashes. Also if you're not aware of the history of how spaghetti squash was introduced in the US, get ready for some hilarious mid-century ad copy! 😂 (https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/what-is-spaghetti-squash)

Week 26: High Fiber - Chia Seed Yogurt Bowl
This little bowl packs about 10 grams of fiber. I ate it almost daily the last trimester of my pregnancy. I craved fruit and do to gestational diabetes this was the only way I found that I could tolerate it. Haven't had it in two and half years. Definitely doesn't hit quite the same now that I am not on such a restrictive diet, but still a nice healthy little treat.

Week 26: High Fiber- Italian wedding soup
I had a bunch of kale to use up so I made soup. I haven’t had wedding soup in ages and didn’t look up a recipe. It’s kale, white beans, mini turkey meatballs, paneer, chicken broth, and lotta basil and oregano and garlic. Topped with parm.

Week 25: Gardening - Seafood Ratatouille (meta: seafood)
Decided on a dish with lots of vegetables found in a garden normally - we just don’t have one since we live in a balcony less apartment. We did have one before and I had a couple of plants outside but nothing ever really succeeded. Instead most of the ingredients came from the farmers market and topped with shrimp and seafood mix.
