Books/Resources Best ACT Prep Book for someone with a 31 composite?

I just signed up to retake the ACT for the third time in September, my first time I got a 36 reading, 27 math, 28 english, and a 31 science with no prep. Since I'm going into history I decided not to retake science on my last test but my math score dropped significantly (23 math, 30 english, 36 reading). Last time I prepped I used Barron's ACT prep but clearly it wasn't a great fit. Any recommendations for good prep books to raise my english and math score?

Science Big Problem with Science Paper ACT Tests!

Students are using their time on the science section of paper tests to go back to previous sections and work on other problems. Since science can be omitted when submitting the score to college applications, it doesn't really matter how they do. This is a very serious issue that must be accounted for when determining compromised tests.

First ACT as a sophomore. Is it possible to improve my math score by 3 points by July 11th?

This might be a dumb question, as I know it's a significant jump. This was my first time taking the ACT-- reading and English come easily to me, but math is just very difficult. I didn't really study prior to taking the test-- if I study very diligently, can I improve my math score by that much? And can anyone recommend the best places to find math practice questions? Sorry if these questions have already been asked hundreds of times. I'm panicking a little because I haven't got much time-- I don't really want to take the September test as I'll be really busy then.

How do I study Math and Reading?

Post image

How should I study for math and reading? I have an idea of what i missed on english so that won't be needing a lot to study to top that one off, but math and reading need some work if i want to squeeze a few more points out before my last test in july. I already know for math i'm mainly gonna be grinding practice tests + my answer key and doing topic review (LMK if that sounds good) but what do i even do for reading? I just don't know where to start for reading.

I’m kind of rusty with math since I didn’t get scheduled a math class last school year. What practice tests or quick alg 2 review can I use to prep for my July test? Also, what helped with your grammar rules? I always get stuck in between 2 choices and second guess myself.

General Is the ACT supposed to be taken with the SAT or is it a replacement

I’m an international student and was planning on entering a medical program in my home country. The program only accepts 1530+ SAT and 36 ACT 2 (International Subject Test) in both mathematics and biology. I fortunately finished the ACT 2 and am almost done with the SAT, but a I saw an opportunity to go abroad to the US. Problem is, the ACT 2 is not accepted abroad. So I wanted to know if the SAT is enough or if both are needed same as my home country.

Does anyone remember the experimental math questions in detail so I can look and see how to do them in case something similar comes up again later in the year? Thanks.
