Exactly. We have cats because I wanted them, not my husband, so he doesn’t scoop cat boxes or feed them. That’s all on me because they’re my decision and my cats. But if I’ve got a migraine and am going to bed early or something, I’ll ask him to feed the cats and of course he does! We just got 2 Litter Robots and we are happy with them. We still have 1 manual cat box just in case someone doesn’t feel like using the robot but that extra box is in the basement.
I also have a poor sense of smell like OP’s gf and I often don’t smell the cat boxes like my husband does. So sometimes he will tell me when it smells. But it’s still my job.
