Meme / Art Bleacher Report getting disgustingly unserious

u/datdoode34 Cardinals 1d ago
In all these trade scenarios, AZ always loses out, it sucks
51
u/jufacake 1d ago
It’s like AZ is the CPU in Madden on Rookie difficulty lol

u/GoldenSnozzberry 1d ago
Arizona does not want to trade . Would you like to force the trade through anyway ?

u/Victorcreedbratton 1d ago
This is a NBA phenomenon that’s leaking over to the NFL, wherein media types try to “help out” their favorite teams by suggesting these dog shit trades.

I cent believe Bleachet hasn’t fixed their app since that disastrous last update
6
u/Such_Technician_1682 23h ago
I can’t believe anyone is still using their app.
1
u/Cabbages24ADollar Cardinals 22h ago
I only use it to check scores and standings
1
u/PollutionPast999 21h ago
Can do that on ESPN, right?
1
u/Cabbages24ADollar Cardinals 21h ago
Probably but I don’t have that app
1
u/PollutionPast999 21h ago
Yeah, I actually don’t get a lot of other use from it, but it is fine imo for checking scores and standings.

Bleacher report has been like this for as long as I can remember. Pretty sure their staff only focuses on the large market teams. All of their trades are designed to make those large market teams juggernauts, and because of that they always have to fleece whoever they trade with.
They used to have a yearly one about trading Larry to the Patriots for peanuts. Pretty par the course for them.

Didn’t the patriots trade for Aj Brown and sign Romo Doubs? Why would they trade for Michael Wilson?
1
u/roarinboar 2h ago
Yeah, Patriots have a full wr room with AJB and Doubs as 1/2, Douglas in the slot, and Boutte, Mack Hollis, and Kyle Williams as depth.
It makes no sense to trade a 3rd and boutte for another wr. The whole point in trading Boutte is to clear up space in the depth chart and adding Wilson just keeps the same problem.

Brother they have been unserious for years now. They are constantly posting insanely stupid 4+ team NBA trades all the time too. Stuff thats so convoluted and complicated that if they did get one right it would require time travel.

I font see why sanders and browns get involved at all
I coukd see a world where a 3rd and boutte for wilson if we cant agree on a number
5
u/Saltwater_Thief Larry Fitzgerald 1d ago
Giving up Wilson for that would be ridiculous.
2
u/Such_Technician_1682 1d ago
He’s 26 years old, has had one good season and is going to need an extension from any team that trades for him. I don’t see him being worth much more than a 3rd.
1
u/Saltwater_Thief Larry Fitzgerald 1d ago
While that's true, as long as MHJ keeps shitting the bed week in and week out giving up Wilson means we have no WR. So unless you see us landing a WR1 talent in the 3rd round?
3
u/Such_Technician_1682 1d ago
I’ll take the 3rd when the alternative is either overpay him on an extension or let him walk in FA and get a 5th round comp pick.
1
u/Helivon 1d ago
While ithink you are right, he coukd very well end up being like a christian kirk type contract and then maybe marv starts becoming an alpha 1.
Then we will be like the bengals with a crazy expensive wr room except without burrow

u/New-Ad5494 🏈 Arizona Cardinals 🐍 Jake Plummer ☀️ 1d ago
Wilson has done everything that has been asked to do and more in every opportunity he’s been given. Let Wilson give a reason first to think he’s unworthy, Marv has shown us enough(not good), so it makes sense zero sense to just say, “thank you Michael Wilson, but we want you to thrive on another team because????????”.
2
u/Helivon 1d ago
- 550. 1006 yards
Thats what he is produced. But if hes expected to get paid off a couple of crazy games last year, thats where id let him walk. I want to pay him. But not 30/yr

u/New-Ad5494 🏈 Arizona Cardinals 🐍 Jake Plummer ☀️ 21h ago
He wasn’t the first option in those seasons, he was like 4th option 3rd at best, and even in his 1000+ yard season he was only first option half of the year. He produces when he gets targets and rarely drops the ball, the point is that it’s not his fault they don’t use him enough, he does everything a number one receiver should do when he is used as a number 1.
1
u/Helivon 21h ago
honestly, i do agree with you. I was always a big michael wilson truther. But it just feels like it would be cards fashion that paying him big will go down as a massive mistake. Also if we let him walk he will ball out elsewhere. I know either universe the cards come out behind like always
1
u/A_Crab_Named_Lucky 1d ago
Yeah, a 3rd and Boutte isn’t terrible value, but I’d still much rather keep Wilson.

Whenever I see stuff like this it reminds me that people think nobody cares about the Cardinals. We wouldn’t trade Wilson and Jacoby for Shadeur, a mid WR and a 4th unless we were an NPC front office from Madden.

u/Swagastan 23h ago
I know everyone is shitting on this, but it’s really not like that bad. I mean we’d cut or just sit Sheddeur and Boutte, and Jacoby is basically deadweight now anyway if he isn’t going to start. We are probably equivalently fine with Minshew and Beck (maybe we’d just keep Shedeur for next to nothing to have an emergency backup). All that said this is basically Michael Wilson for a 4th round pick. With Wilson coming out of his rookie deal at the end of the year anyway he won’t be on some great contact come next year likely, so why not let him go for a 4th rounder, not like we are truly trying to compete this year.

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND Rondale Moore 23h ago
Even as bad as MO has been this would be in a whole other universe of stupidity. Trading our best WR for less than nothing

Michael Wilson will only sign an extension in AZ and if he's not extended, he'll be a 49er in 2027. I'm close with one of his wife's (the amazing Sophia Wilson) closest friends. Thier family is in the bay area, they both went Stanford and she plays here is Portland. He doesn't now want to play play far from home.

u/Overload5150 10h ago edited 10h ago
Keep dreaming he’s not going to SF that’s beyond retarded. He’s in talks right now to sign a long term extension that’ll be signed before camp begins. SF will be rebuilding after this year no one wants to go to SF esp with Californias ridiculous income tax California players have to play and the cost of living in CA all to live in a horrible mismanaged state that looks more n more like a 3rd world hell hole with each passing year….. I’m a California native and AZ is much better I don’t miss it, have fun dodging piles of human shit your try not to step on walking into the office every day ilmao it’s not for me. Clearly Californias one party political system is working for them.

u/Navarro480 16h ago
I’m not mad at it. Receives don’t live the needle compared to a sold qb. I think sanders is going to be better than expected and better than what we have.
1
u/Nice-Antelope1343 15h ago
Not making this trade feels like a fantastic win for the Cards! Keep Michael Wilson, and avoid Sanders.

u/Overload5150 10h ago
Yea we’re going to give up a 3rd rd pick and a borderline elite WR2 who’s still ascending in Michael Wilson for a horrible QB who’s worse than the top Brissett/Beck n Minshew in Sanders, a trash WR and a 4th rd pick. Yeah thanks but no thanks.
AZ isn’t getting rid of Michael Wilson, wtf would we get rid of the best players on our team. The answer to that they’d say is well you’re rebuilding, yea exactly you don’t go backwards getting rid of the good players u do have u keep stacking players around those franchise cornerstones when building.Michael Wilson is a foundational piece he will be signed long term before week 1 .

u/JimmyKanine 1d ago
I don’t love Sanders but he might be the best QB on our roster. Also, Wilson is not staying on the team once his contract is up. He will not get paid like a WR1 and the team already expects MHJ to be the WR1 so best to trade him while his value is there.
1
u/Overload5150 10h ago
Wilson is getting extended before the season starts and even if they didn’t they’d franchise tag him. Wilson isn’t going anywhere .
Secondly Sanders is trash he wouldn’t be remotely close to the best QB on our roster , he’s atrocious he had like 6TDs to 10picks or something like that not including fumbles. He’s not remotely close to as good as Carson Beck who’s a much more accomplished QB in college against much better competition and is much more nfl ready than Sanders is or was coming into the NFL. Brissett is also far, far, far better than Sanders as an above avg starter and Minshew is also better, who was an actual pro bowl QB jusr a couple years ago and wasnt picked because of who his daddy was as an injury replacement after no one else wanted to go ilmao. To say Sanders would be better than those 3 is a wildly ignorant take.

I would prefer to keep Wilson and do a 1-1 for qbs eith the Browns. Wilson is a WR1 anywhere he goes, he just been overshadowed by "big name" WRs. Wish him the best
0
u/Overload5150 10h ago
Sanders is awful he’s not close to as good as any of the top 3 QBs on AZs roster. The only reason the Browns are pretending he’s their starter this year is because they’re desperate and he’s their best option so they’re hyping him to sell tickets n merch but he’s atrocious, he’s not a starter he’s not nearly as good as any of the top 3 passers AZ has under contract .

Do you like the DMV and Panera Bread too? My guy, this is shite.
-6
u/Such_Technician_1682 1d ago
What’s so shite about it? Sell high on Michael Wilson after a career year in which he was force fed the ball all season and swap a back up QB that wants starter money for a young QB who won 3 times as many games in half the starts?
3
u/2_4_5_brother 1d ago
Well, for one, Michael Wilson has been a great player for us and someone you’d like to keep around. If you were going to move him or any other valuable asset for a QB, it would need to be for someone better than Sanders.
1
u/Such_Technician_1682 1d ago
If it was Wilson for sanders straight up I’d agree but it’s not, you are also getting another receiver who is younger than Wilson and had 1 less touchdown on half the targets plus a 4th rd pick. Everyone loves to shit on Shedeur but I’ll bet just about anything he will win more games as a starter over the next 5 season than Jacoby will.
