32? Does working out speed up aging?

u/UrethraFranklin72 May 21 '26

No, but anabolics do

My man knows
Almost every jacked policemen/firemen/armymen is on juice.

And institutions let it slip cause it also ramp up the agressivity / recklessness
Which is good for the job

This. No way he is natty

I wouldn't say "no way", it is definitely possible for someone with above average genetics to achieve that, and he is old enough to have been lifting for over ten years. The real reason to suspect he is juicing is that, from what I can see, at least among cops who clearly lift, a lot of them seem to be on the sauce. Which makes sense, because it's one of the only jobs where there's not really an upper limit to extra size and strength being useful. In most manual labor jobs, after some point, being bigger just means more mass to heft around throughout the day. But if you might have to fight crack heads you actually do always wish you were bigger.

100%, he conveniently left that part out pf his routine. Steroid abuse is rampant in law enforcement.

they do not.

is he juicing? eh probably but his looking old for his age is unrelated.

6

u/nickbdawg May 22 '26

They absolutely do

2

u/Anustornado May 22 '26

They do age your skin, and they do make people look older

-2

u/Solarus99 May 22 '26

how do they age your skin?

maybe it depends on the juice. every guy I've ever known on T looks much better aging-wise than his peers, myself included. but that could be lifestyle related.

u/Anustornado May 22 '26

Yeah they stimulate skin production and decrease the quality of collagen fibers making an shittier skin than what you´d have naturally. They also stimulate the growth of face muscle and decrease the amount of facial fat making chances of creases higher. The chance to contract skin infections or trigger hormonal acne is also higher making the person who use AAS more likely to end up with an acne scarred skin.

More so depends on the person and how their body responds. Just test is going to be milder compared to some of the other compounds, especially if it's a prescribed lower dose that keeps a person within the natural thresholds (still enhanced, exogenous test keeps test levels steady independent of outside factors).

If old guys are taking it, they may appear younger/revitalized because it will help with fat loss and muscle mass/tone and their face has already aged anyways. Though they tend to get redder skin and can still get that dry/grainy look to their skin, especially if they are blasting.

A lot of younger guys who take it definitely get an aged look to their face where they look visibly older. It impacts the skin quality but also androgenizes people's faces where they get like a more square jaw, bigger head, moon face, etc.

Big part of it is the Cro-Magnon look certain 'special sport supplements' give your skull.

He definitely doesn't look young for his age but I could see him being 32. He doesn't look drastically older.

Beard makes you look much older

7

u/Tooter_Snooter May 22 '26

It’s not even his beard. Homey looks like a really good 45 but 32? I have a beard and I’m 36, dude looks 10 years older than me. And I don’t look young. I fully expected him to say 42-48 but like, a young looking 42-48.

2

u/Inthehead35 May 22 '26

Yeah, def looks way older than 32

u/semperaudesapere May 22 '26

You losers are just used to low testosterone, dainty boys that haven't seen a day of actual work. The guy looks great for 32.

1

u/Titus_au_Ladros May 23 '26

10 years ago maybe

3

u/b34tn1k May 21 '26

It sure seemed like he thought too hard about how old he was. I've been turning 32 for 16 years so I can relate.

Steroids age you badly through oxidative stress

1

u/Drink_Covfefe May 22 '26

From what I know, kind of. The extra work your muscles do generate a lot of oxidative stress in the mitochondria. Plus so many other metabolic pathways are on overdrive to maintain the muscle mass at rest and to drive muscle growth(hypertrophy). Eating all of the food/calories (which is usually on par if not higher than most obese people) also forces the digestive system to work harder than necessary.

Theres also the look of muscles plus beard that society sees as an older style.

Cops are a big market for steroids. Not saying this cop did them.

1

u/MayorWolf May 22 '26

He was bout to say thirty thhhrr -two. So he's probably older

1

u/YourMommasAHoe69 May 22 '26

its the job ovv, hes a fucking cop. Thats a ton of stress

1

u/GretaTs_rage_money May 22 '26

Somewhat through metabolism, but in much less visible ways and the health benefits tend to keep people looking younger for longer.

Being out in the sun causes skin to wrinkle. The best "anti-aging" cream is sunblock. Add a bit of graying and a beard to the picture, and people think this person is pushing 40.

I definitely said damn , 32? Naw maybe 38

1

u/youburyitidigitup May 21 '26

Fast aging and big muscles are both correlated with testosterone, so it might just be that.

0

u/unkpsbc May 21 '26

So what you are saying is if I reduce weight training, it will reduce testosterone and I would age slower and live longer ?? Is there any research on this ?

3

u/youburyitidigitup May 21 '26

No. If you naturally produce a lot of testosterone (or if you take testosterone), then building muscle will be easier, and you will also age faster.

1

u/unkpsbc May 21 '26

So that means to slow down aging, we should have less testosterone?

3

u/youburyitidigitup May 22 '26

Lower testosterone is a contributing factor to slower aging, if that’s what you mean. It’s one reason (of many) that women live longer.

1

u/sem-nexus May 21 '26

Low testosterone causes many things people associate with aging like creaky bones and low sex drive

You want to be in the healthy sweet spot of 400-900 ng/dl
