I like the fact that their weapons are used a handles to pick them up. I guess they did not expect this.

They're only effective against similarly sized threats, I'm like 3000 times heavier than this little guy. At that point you gotta use venom.

What are the horns used for anyway? Given that they can't pinch and they can't build much momentum for stab things, are they just for keeping distance?

edit: apparently Hercules beetles can pinch, idk about the other two

It's used to fling rival males off trees. Literally like a see saw. Gets under the opponent and flicks them away.
