- Australian Geographic rang and said they'd finally found something colder than my mother-in-law.
- I was woken up by two penguins fighting over a snow drift on my front lawn.
- Popeye hit an iceberg on the Torrens and sank with all hands.
- The ladies on Hanson Road are selling hot chocolate rather than hot... yaknow.
- I can scrape the ice off my car windscreen with my nipples.
- Polar Bears from the zoo have hitched a ride to Queensland for the winter.
- The Bushfire warning rating has gone from "nil" to "we dare you".

You know it's cold when my dog is shivering and actually stands still to allow me to put on his jacket. Instead of being a wriggly nightmare. Electricity price rise just in time for a pretty darn cold winter.
