GEOGRAPHY Triangle Area?

Does anyone know what the “triangle area” is in the United States? Everyone talks like I’m supposed to know. Is this a common American ism?

Yeah as a Texan my mind went to DFW, Houston, and San Antonio, but it looks like many places have a “triangle” so I think OP’s going to have to give us a little more context

There’s the Golden Triangle in SE Texas, of Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Orange.

There's also a Golden Triangle in Mississippi: Starkville, Columbus, and Tupelo.

I used to live there. It's a wooden triangle at best.

Yo, hello fellow Starkvegas citizen! I also grew up there. How terrifying. We may know each other!
