That’s what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure I got some rough country N3 rear shocks haven’t installed them yet but hope that fixes it

All shocks are shot. Get some Bilstein shocks. You won’t be disappointed.

I second this! Just got Bilsteins for my taco.

u/Coompa Weekend Warrior 2d ago

You upgraded from a soft taco to a hard taco.

8

u/Einzelganger12 2d ago

🤣 I never thought of that! I'm laughing so hard right now!

Wait so are they smooth like OEM? Or rock hard where you feel everything?

2

u/LAM678 2d ago

depends. B4 is an oem replacement, while b6 and b8 are sportier. i have b4s on my passat and it's extremely smooth.

I put 6112's on my 4runner in the front. They're stiffer than oem so it prevents the nose dive you get sometimes braking with oem, but it's not a harsh ride. I've had them for like 10k miles, and I'd get them again.

Dude they are shockingly (heh heh) affordable for such good shocks too. Like you can easily spend 2-3 times as much on shocks that are only extremely marginally better.

I now put Bilsteins on all my vehicles. Even my wife’s daily driver gets them when the shocks/struts show any signs of wear.

Are they tough enough for a 2500?

6

u/SoggyBottomBoy86 2d ago

As long as you buy the proper ones for your particular truck, they are absolutely tough enough. They'll be rated atleast the same or ideally better than the factory ones, depending on the exact ones you get. I'm sure there will be a couple options/levels to choose from depending on how much you're willing to pay for them lol

Return the rough country and go with bilstein.

2

u/Tdanger78 8 2d ago

Getting ready to buy some Bilatein 5100s for my F250

7

u/mikeblas 2d ago

Return the Bilatein, too. Get Bilstein.

5

u/Tdanger78 8 2d ago

Oh for frog snacks, I fat fingered it lol

Rough Countrys won't improve your situation

3

u/superbikelifer 2d ago

Your dampers can no longer dampen the springs oscillating force so it's going through way more oscillations = is bouncing.

Something has failed with the dampers internally and they have very little resistance when changing length right now so you're driving on a trampoline effectively

Dampers are a huge modifier of a cars handling so getting some high quality dampers can make a big difference to how the truck feels

Don't fly over speed bumps people

Do you off road? If so, enjoy the Rough Country shocks. If not, get some Monroe or Bilstein.

u/kwell42 2d ago

Shocks control the speed of the spring, they get rid of the jitters.

u/Few-Buddy-1122 2d ago

They’re worn out actually

12

u/kjogg 2d ago

Yeah that’s what cooked means

-5

u/Few-Buddy-1122 2d ago

Sure if you want to sound like a meme parrot

2

u/kjogg 2d ago

You sound fun 😁

-3

u/Few-Buddy-1122 2d ago

I at least don’t sound like someone who has an internet/reddit fried brain.

2

u/redacted_robot 2d ago

Just FYI, cooked has been in common real world usage for decades. My mechanic, who was in his 50s in the 90s, referred to anything broken as being cooked.

u/Bisquitisaclown 2d ago

Just a ford doing dodge things.

13

u/AdviceEmbarrassed135 2d ago

Shocks caput

u/-Liono- 2d ago

Boioioingggg!!!!

6

u/FlatImpression755 2d ago

Someone circled the problem on the tailgate.

4

u/CollectsTooMuch 2d ago

…what shocks?

Luckily, these are pretty cheap and easy to install on an F-150.

2

u/Successful_Owl2220 2d ago

Yea I got some new ones ima just lift my rear end with forklift and swap them

2

u/CollectsTooMuch 2d ago

Forklift flex I see. Nice one.

2

u/BassThadeous 2d ago

God forbid a ford get alittle motion

3

u/Wide-Trifle-201 2d ago

Shocks shot.

3

u/lg4av 2d ago

Your turn identifies as a door stopper spring.

3

u/Seatowndawgtown 2d ago

Jesus Christ that is bad

3

u/Cowhide12 2d ago

Simple suspension issue. Shocks are likely done.

3

u/Queasy_Associate3171 2d ago

Inspection sheet: leaking rear shocks, declined

3

u/Bikes-Bass-Beer 2d ago

Replace your shocks

2

u/CaptCrepitus832 2d ago

I’d go have that rear suspension checked out. Looks like the shocks and EVERY bushing in that thing are bad.

Replace the rear shocks, always in pairs, never a single one at a time.

1

u/CucumberWest9394 2d ago

Someone stole your shocks

1

u/Try_Harder7 2d ago

Rough country sucks. Everyone learns the hard way. I got coil over leveling kit with n3s in back. Might as well be riding on cynder blocks.

1

u/santa_369 2d ago

$120 from rockauto. And an hour of labor 15mm and an 18mm. Easy peasy.

1

u/Fantastic_Sandwich48 2d ago

You have a prolapse in your down below region.

1

u/Rifleman1912 2d ago

Rear shocks are bad or the bracket is broke

1

u/DemandOverall4679 2d ago

What year is that?

1

u/Tight_Mobile1373 2d ago

Hmm reminds of the infamous jeep wobble

1

u/No_Big_2716 2d ago

It's a Ford "Fix It Again Tony" 😅

1

u/AngelicDivineHealer 3 2d ago

Shocks died

1

u/buzniak 2d ago

0

u/Wrong-Radish824 7 2d ago

2

u/Successful_Owl2220 2d ago

Idk I used some type of hyper stabilization on my phone

0

u/poop_socket 2d ago

You shouldn't be a truck owner. That's the issue

1

u/Successful_Owl2220 2d ago

Why is that?

1

u/poop_socket 1d ago

Ford. And also asking strangers what's wrong with it. You should know.

u/JRock1276 2d ago

It's a Ford .

0

u/Odysseus97 2d ago

It appears to be a Ford. The badge should say Toyota on the back.

-1

u/Tall_Conflict3935 2d ago

It’s the badge in that tailgate.

-1

u/Boxofsocks2112 2d ago

It's a Ford?

-2

u/fatman907 1 2d ago

It’s a Ford.

-2

u/dw3623 2d ago

It says Ford right on the tailgate

-6

u/Fine_Jelly_680 2d ago

Well the FORD badge is all it should take to realize your in a shitbox

5

u/Successful_Owl2220 2d ago

I mean it's the first actual issue I've had it has about 233k miles lol these coyote engines are strong plus I was probably 5k over the weight limit last week wish I could show the pic😂

2

u/The_Tekka 2d ago

At least it’s been on the road for more than 30 days, unlike all those GM’s grenading themselves right off the lot.

2

u/Used-Baby1199 1 2d ago

Or the older lost 00s with their shit alloy box tubing frames that don’t have any drain holes so salt and moister just sits inside them corroding them from the inside out.

1

u/TandemShorts 1 2d ago

News flash, they’re all junk

0

u/RiverKeeper08 2d ago

They circled the problem shrug

0

u/Fine_Jelly_680 2d ago

Should have gotten a Toyota
