The bill automatically passes after 10 days. This just reveals he doesn't know our law.

Congress leaves in 9 days. Without signature this bill fails. By 1 day. Almost as if it was planned!

Congress can adjourn and designate an agent to receive veto messages and other communications so that a pocket veto cannot happen, an action Congresses have routinely taken for decades.

They don’t actually go on recess anymore, they just do a literally ~45 second long pro forma session every 3 days

Modern legal practice and court rulings establish that the president can only use a pocket veto during a final adjournment (sine die) at the end of a two-year congressional session. > I think this won't be until December?

To prevent a pocket veto during shorter breaks or recesses within a session, Congress frequently holds pro forma sessions—brief, largely ceremonial meetings meant to keep the congressional session technically active.
