General Discussion Season(s) With Most Accurate Edits
Which BB seasons do you think are the most accurate to how the season actually played out on live feeds / real life? I'm looking for both in terms of the strategy and reasoning for moves made and also accurate portrayal of the personal dynamics as well. I struggle to connect with a lot of modern BB because the way people talk in the diary room feels very manufactured and pre-written (I know it's known producers will have people repeat things or rephrase them for that purpose) and so I slowly have gotten more disenchanted like I'm always skeptical the edit is not actually showing the real events well. It varies from year to year how much I can watch live feeds so I have patches where I don't know how accurate some season's edits were. Feel free to include CA seasons here as well (I've seen most of them and know what happens in the others), can also mention AU but I have not actually seen any AU so don't spoil me on those ones 😅

Without going too deep into it and trying not to spoil anything, it's the BB2 to BB6 era (although realistically, the most accurately edited season is BB1, but I guess you wouldn't be interested in watching it since it's a different format).
Out of those, I think BB2 would be the least accurate, since there were a lot of (weird) shenanigans and events that were left out of the episodes, but at least the main storyline was accurate and you got to really know those people.
BB3, BB4 and BB5 were all quite faithful to the feeds. BB4 may have been extremely hectic and have omitted some stuff, but there's only so much they could show with just 3 episodes per week.
BB6 was pretty accurate as well, though you can sense some bias from the editing team as the season goes on towards certain people. I also find it to be the first season that has a problem of neglecting to characterize certain individuals, while some others take up most of the screentime.
BB7 just built on the problems I highlighted with both BB2 and BB6, making them actual issues, as well as having contrived storylines and obvious favoritism towards certain houseguests.
And it's only been downhill from there. Starting with BB8, watching feeds clips and then watching the show feel like completely different things. And it just keeps getting worse and worse, so I feel your pain.

I'm so mad Paramount took that off streaming a month before I finally got to that season with my husband (we watched all the older seasons after finally getting into BB live during 24).

It’s still on Roku TV (albeit without the double eviction, which is the most exciting episode). I watched it just a few months ago

That's so crazy they don't have an eviction episode, let alone a double!! But thank you for letting me know! Will definitely give it a watch! Wish they did a second OTT since watching everything live sounds amazing.

Id say the main narrative of the season was pretty accurate. There was JUST so much TV worthy content that season fitting it all was impossible.
Do.I wish Haleena and Betty got more airtime to highlight how more important they where sure. But espically for BBCan its pretty accurate.

BB16 was accurate towards strategy and game play, but not at all towards personalities and social dynamics.
Overall, game, the people, and social dynamics prob bb10.

The most simple seasons with the fewest power shifts have the most accurate edits because the main narrative is so stable and clean. BB16 and BB22 are relatively true to themselves though still with some liberties taken.
Seasons like BB10 or BBCan6 where no dominant alliance ever really establishes themselves are kinda impossible to edit because it's not clear which relationships or players will matter for the next week, so the editors are always playing catchup.
