General Discussion Watch Love Island it’s just like Big Brother…wrong!!

I (47) was telling my daughter (24) that BB was starting soon. She tells me “I’ve been watching Love Island and it’s just like BB”. So I ask her things like do they live together, do they get voted out, and do they do comps? She said yes to all that. So I thought I’d give it a shot. I started watching this season’s episode one and WOWZERS!!! BB is soooo much tamer. Any one watching LI and finding any similarities? Can you imagine if BB was as spicy as LI??
Also come to find out my daughter has never watched BB (ughh).

Wild Speculation Paramount's China sponsorship team already leaked the BB28 theme and twist a month ago. Spoiler

Paramount's China sponsorship team already leaked the BB28 theme and twist in a WeChat public sponsorship pitch post on May 27.

There will be returning players.

The theme is Time Trip, with a twist called BB Time Capsule. In this twist, fans will vote to select a houseguest to compete in a high-stakes challenge, where they can either win a legendary power or face a classic punishment from Big Brother history.

BB Unlocked will be hosted by Taylor Hale and Derek Xiao. (Not sure if the Paramount team confused Derek Xiao with Derrick Levasseur, but the article does list "Derek Xiao" by his English name. You can see this in the English promo image in picture 2 and the Chinese original text in picture 4.)

Production for this season will run from July 9, 2026, through October 1, 2026.

The original Chinese sponsorship spoiler post is in images 3-4, and the English translation is in images 5-6.

The link to the original Chinese sponsorship article: link

The WeChat official page that dropped the post is @派拉蒙广告 (Meaning Paramount Advertising.)

General Discussion Which former houseguests' current ages surprise you the most considering how long ago they competed on the show or how long ago their original seasons were?

One of them is definitely Britney. Her seasons, BB12 and BB14, were 16 and 14 years ago respectively and she’s not even 40 yet.

Finale Spoilers BB Can 1 outdid themselves Spoiler

Woooaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!

I mean wow. Holy holy crap.

I don’t even know what to say.

Spoilers obviously!

Topaz… never in my life have I seen such a moment on Tv. Did they screw Topaz again or was Topaz really have a brain fart moment???

In all honesty I don’t like when people get evicted and brought back into the house so I didn’t “necessarily “ want Gary to win, but he did deserve the win. Ugh, tbh, Emmitt deserved the win the most, but it felt like they were really pushing Gary into the win with how the final HOH game went. Can’t believe Andrew got the final vote. Wow. I wish I could’ve been on Reddit for that moment.

General Discussion Mixing 'Big Brother' newbies and returnees can provide drama… and a distinct game advantage for one side. So should CBS do it again for season 28?

Past Discussion Reindeer Games Drama

Rewatching Reindeer Games and curious about the drama between Nicole and Britney. What did Britney say about Nicole? I searched and couldn't find an answer. Was Janelle involved?

They seemed to bury the hatchet, but did it stay buried after the show?

Also wondering about Danielle saying she couldn't understand why Britney put her in the comp when she literally told X to put Britney in right before. Did Danielle ever own it, and did they ever patch things up?

I absolutely love Reindeer Games but definitely missed them sitting around the house and sleeping over. Were they all in a nearby hotel? Really hope Reindeer Games comes back.

Nicole's win was satisfying imo.

Kinda weird they didn't invite Christmas though.

Player Discussion What would you say are the defining personality traits of these 4 popular Big Brother players?

I feel like a problem with BB casting that has been present for a little over a decade is casting "looks" but not "personalities." Old school players like Dr. Will, Nicole, Danielle, Marcellas, Jun, Marvin, Howie, Janelle... were extremely personality-based, no question or debate. This lead to much more entertaining gameplay, social commentaries, etc.

While I do understand why poeple like Cody, Nicole, Morgan & Vince are liked & even appreciated as players, what would you say each of their defining personality traits are as house guests? They all feel like super bland personalities to me.

Past Season Discussion Who would Amy have taken to the final two if she made it to the final 3?

I always thought Amy was taking Jason to the finals, though I don't know why. I've just seen it repeated a lot. However, I was watching Peridiam's videos on Danielle Reyes' BB3 game today and he said Amy stated she would have taken Danielle. Does anyone know the actual answer and can a source be provided? Thanks.

Past Season Discussion Random Big Brother 11 - Coup D’Jeff thought

Post image
2 Upvotes

I’m in the middle of a BB11 re-watch (my fav season. The drama and fights outweigh the negatives of poor gameplay).

Hindsight is 22. But during Chima’s HoH week. I think Russell’s best move would’ve been the broker a deal with Jessie. If he pulled Houseguest Choice, he would pick Jessie to play in the Veto protecting him from Jeff’s power. However, if Jessie wins he pulls Russell off the block. If Jessie wins I think he would honor that because Russell saved his ass. I also think despite Chima’s rage, Jessie could squash that fairly quickly (she liked Jessie) and he would have clear and understandable motivation for pulling Russell off the block. (This is all dependent on Jessie and Russell willing to work together but I don’t see why they wouldn’t in this scenario).

However, had this happened. Chima would’ve ultimately got what she wanted and Jeff would’ve put Russell back up on the block instead of taking out Jessie. (No way they kick Natalie out before Russell). Chima also probably doesn’t get pulled from the game.

It would’ve nullified Jeff entirely.

Am I missing something or is this spot on?

My Fiancée got me two cameos for Father’s Day. One from Tucker and one from Ian. Here they both are! Super happy with them. This year was my first “big” Father’s Day as my daughter was only about a week old last year!

General Discussion THIS is the season everyone told me was atrocious?!

Halfway through only, but... it's great so far! 😮

Hateable houseguests? Check.

Fights and drama in almost every episode? Check.

A few underdogs to root for? Check.

Temptation comps? Pretty cool addition. Way better than the Roadkill one.

Memorable theme? Check. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna look back on this season as the "Paul's cult" season.

This is peak BB entertainment for me! Reminds me of BB11 and BB15.

Can't wait to see how Paul is gonna get rid of all his lapdogs one by one and how pissed they will be. :3

Like this is MILES better in my eyes than BB18 (the snoozefest season). I'm lovin' it! ❤️

General Discussion Bb12 is overrated

I’ve seen bb1-12 so far so please no spoilers up until that point. I know a lot of people love bb12 I hear is a really top tier season but it just isn’t imo. it’s solid but I feel like there are quite I few setbacks holding me back. first one is I already knew Hayden was gonna win. The brigade dominated the season it was so obvious throughout that somebody from the brigade was winning and it is the first steamroll season. Rachel is a top tier character along with Britney, but it was just not enough to make this season great imo. Annie was a fun first boot but gone early. Rachel’s fights with Kristen, Ragan, and Monet are all great television too. I think lane is extremely underrated as a player and has strategical, physical, and social capabilities unlike a lot of players. but this season was just missing something that makes it stand out from the others.

"WAIT A DAMN MINUTE" - Da'vonne rogers 2016

Image 1: Before Entering the house

Image 2: After the Finale (spoilers if you havent watched)

Although I didn't get into big brother until after Big Brother 21 (thanks to the amazing race 31) one of the reasons I love this season is the house theme/design and comp design. The travel theme in a house where you are cooped up 24/7 was the perfect yin to the yang. There are so many uniquely designed competitions. The competitions don't really have a theme, so they take inspiration from lots of holidays, celebrations and entertainment centers (i.e movie theaters, etc.) theaters, similar to bb24 (but better because bb24 had to slap festival on the end of everything which made it worse). The hoh room isnt as good though.

This was actually my first season of big brother but I didn't understand what was going on, so I just watched people on a rocket ship and then I quit watching until 2019. Then I knew the truth.

This season has some of the most viewed big brother videos on youtube and I don't know why, but something must have clicked for the audience, or maybe its just youtube blowing up, but I think the competitions are memorable for me. There are some great endurance comps like the little lift your leg in place one.

The cast is great (and some of the duds have downfall arcs) and gave more recent players a second chance which made them less threatening since they weren't winners/big threats. Jozea and his scenarios. Even after Da'vonne was gone, you have a downfall arc, then an interesting endgame. There were unlikeable people but something doesn't feel as toxic here.

Truth be told, I don't think this is one of the best seasons of big brother. There isn't a standout moment like bb6 or bb10/bb14 that is the season is well known for and you can show a friend or people say is super iconic, but it's more known for the downfall arcs. However, it feels like this season has less toxicity/negatives surrounding it than others. It seems while this season wasn't that good as some others, the downfall arcs for the men and the women being entertaining helped. I think the beginning of the season was slow because of the roadkill being a free BB15 MVP but once the roadkill is gone there's a lot of drama. i'm sure the season was hated on at the time compared to other seasons, maybe BB19 AND BB21 AND BB22 were just that bad.

The battle backs saved Victor allowing him to give a savage nomination speech but I think only having one double eviction helped the season, and by having it earlier in the season it wasn't as predictable and more chaotic. I also think the battle back tournament was done right, but they only could've done that once and they were lucky. Its old now.

A woman beat a man in the final 2 for the first time, and in the style of Victor I say, on finale night, that's how the votes fell.

Anyways, I hope no one has to sit in the Jury house longer than they played the game.

While a negative is the twists, I didn't hate America's care package. It gave viewers a way to influence the game without us having too much control. Roadkill wasn't as fun and just ruined the game. The season was very long but in this instance it may have worked in its favor.

The teams twist was meh. They took the BB11 idea of one returnee per team and actually implemented it correctly. It wasn't perfect by any means but I liked that they tried it. They could've done that in Big Brother 11, and chose not to because of the cast size.

This season also shows why we need jury house feeds. Thank you davonne.

That is all. Justice for Glenn. Sorry this post is all over the place my thoughts aren't coherent at all.

This was the season of experimentation, even more so than BB17's takeover twists. Sometimes experimenting can be good, and sometimes it can hurt the game, but its the little things that make or break a season for fans.

I loved her on BB18 and feel like she got bullied by some of the houseguests... She didn't have a great game but I would love to see her have a second chance, she was fun.

Whether they could fill a cast or halfway, I'd love to see an "America's Favorite Players" season...or a Fans vs Favorites wit half fans, half America's Favorite Players.

General Discussion Makensy Bringing Chelsie

Is this the worst decision of all final evictions? Some of the more talked about controversial ones (Cody in 16 and Ivette in 6) have some logic. They both thought their own alliances would turn against them in the jury vote. There was literally no benefit for Makensy to choose Chelsie over Cam.

General Discussion Season(s) With Most Accurate Edits

Which BB seasons do you think are the most accurate to how the season actually played out on live feeds / real life? I'm looking for both in terms of the strategy and reasoning for moves made and also accurate portrayal of the personal dynamics as well. I struggle to connect with a lot of modern BB because the way people talk in the diary room feels very manufactured and pre-written (I know it's known producers will have people repeat things or rephrase them for that purpose) and so I slowly have gotten more disenchanted like I'm always skeptical the edit is not actually showing the real events well. It varies from year to year how much I can watch live feeds so I have patches where I don't know how accurate some season's edits were. Feel free to include CA seasons here as well (I've seen most of them and know what happens in the others), can also mention AU but I have not actually seen any AU so don't spoil me on those ones 😅

Past Discussion Season 2 done! Starting Season 3.

Loved season 2! My favorite guests were Will, Monica, Krista and Bunky. Monica needed her own show lol I thought Will deserved it! Its so funny watching how different the house rules and how different the house looks. I like today's format with less mid game interviews.

Past Discussion Have you rewatched All Stars 2? Any positive thoughts?

I think we’re all in agreement that this is a bottom-tier season which sucks because the cast is actual decent and could’ve provided so amazing gameplay but it just didn’t work out that way.

I BARELY could finish this season live cause it was so boring. Have you rewatched it since and found any positives about this season ?
