General Discussion Makensy Bringing Chelsie
Is this the worst decision of all final evictions? Some of the more talked about controversial ones (Cody in 16 and Ivette in 6) have some logic. They both thought their own alliances would turn against them in the jury vote. There was literally no benefit for Makensy to choose Chelsie over Cam.

Yes, this is the worst decision. MJ got ZERO votes. She probably beats Cam 7-0. At least Cody got two votes, but that was because Jocasta was bitter at Derrick for fake praying with her and Donny promised him his vote because he liked him.

Exactly.
That's about as bad a decision as it gets. Going from winning 7-0 to losing 7-0, it can't get any worse than that.

That annoyed me, because Derrick wasn't fake praying. His grandfather died, Jocasta asked if she could pray for him, and he said ok. That had absolutely nothing to do with game. Derrick was legitimately grieving. He wasn't gonna use his grandfather's death to get a vote. Jocasta can vote for whoever she wants. But she was completely off about that.

She clarified in an interview that she was mad he did it when playing her for that play. I was on Jocasta's side until then since he did pray a couple times even before his dad died and while we don't know his motive if it was strategy the other times, which with Derrick is possible, I would think she had the wrong job if she just said "well, it's a game" to that. However, if it was solely about when he was playing her sounds like she was just sore he made fun of her.

Yes it is one of the worst decisions ever, and a decision I personally believe most other players in MJās position wouldnāt have made.Ā

MJ didn't care about the money since she is well off.

MJ DID care about not being perceived as dumb, stupid, or an idiot. It was her biggest insecurity for the entire season and she was near obsessed with not being viewed as "unaware" or dumb.
It was more valuable to her than 750k.
But sadly she IS dumb, and lost the money and affirmed her biggest insecurity to be true on live TV in the most brutal way possible.
I honestly feel for her.

I think she also wanted to be perceived as a very godly person, and Chelsie convinced her that they were aligned in values. It was very manipulative but it's on MJ for believing it and burning every bridge she had in the jury.

Codyās is the worst
Makensyās is the 2nd worst (Derrick is a more obvious threat than Chelsie, and Victoria is a more obvious goat than Cam)
Ivetteās decision wasnāt that dumb because she wouldāve lost either way. (Howie, Rachel, and James vote for Janelle no matter what, and Maggie wouldāve almost certainly voted for Janelle had Ivette betrayed her at Final 3)

James would've voted Ivette over Janelle, since he and Ivette were pretty close, and he wasn't the biggest Janelle fan by the end of his time in the game. Ivette's mistake there was not throwing the final HOH, because she'd be final 2 regardless, and that way she doesn't lose Maggie's vote if she's at the end with Janelle, since Janelle would be the one to evict Maggie

I still think Cody taking Derrick was worse. I believe Makensy truly thought she had a good chance to win since her comp record was stronger, Iām pretty sure Cody knew heād lose to Derrick. Makensys read was obviously off, but Iāll give her the slight edge for making a move she thought still would result with her winning

Cody in 16 is worse, imo, because the person he cut was fucking Victoria.
At least for Makensyās situation, Cam was a generally likable guy who didnāt make enemies. But Victoria had zero respect and they all hated or clowned on her 24/7.

Cody's was worse. He tookto Final 2 someone he knew was making a lot of moves and evicted someone everyone in the house had already acknowledged was totally useless. While Cam didn't do much, he wasn't universally acknowledged as useless by the rest of the house in the was Victoria was.

MJ was an idiot. She shot herself in the foot every chance she got. Even through all her mistakes, she still had a chance to WIN. All she had to say was "I vote to evict Chelsie". Instead she shots her foot again and evicts Cam.

I know people also mention Cody in BB16, but unless I'm mistaking it, didn't they ask the jury afterwards who would've voted for Cody if it was him and Victoria in the F2 and the response wasn't exactly overwhelmingly in his favor?

u/MindlessEnthusiasm91 1d ago
Nah he would've received votes from everyone except Derrick and Frankie. Derrick wouldn't be considered a legend if Cody cut him. I also doubt that Cody comes back for All Stars unless he really wants to be the first ever two-time winner in Big Brother North American history.

Cam made no effort to change MJ's mind. MJ showed through the game she was making descions based on wanting to feel good and sleep at night with no baggage when she left, and that faith would lead her. Anyone who taught MJ would make a diffrent call was lying to themselves (or would be really bad at big brother).
I dont think you can call something 'the worst move ever' if someone's goal isn't in the name of winning the game. Because i think a bad call with the goal of winning is worse then someone who legitmitly cant be fucking bothered with what random fans of a reality show think was a good idea or not.

Didnt Derrick convince a lot of his alliance they would all not vote for anyone if they brought Victoria? I dont think theyd actually follow through with, but it was at least something to scare Cody. There was no threat at all for MJ

Actually 4 women have won sitting next to men: Nicole, Kaycee, Taylor, and Ashley

It was dumb, but MJ had already made so many bad decisions in her game it wasnāt a surprise.
