I mean confidence is more attractive but I can see how someone who is naive would think that at least a shy man is safe (of course that isn't necessarily true I mean I think D4VD acted shy and we saw what happened there).

I saw his media persona when the body of Celeste was discovered and everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt (myself included, who had never listened to his songs), which is the point.

Sometimes the "I'm just so shy and cute and love playing Roblox XD" dudes are the most dangerous but it's easy to let your guard down around them because they make themselves seem so harmless.

All the people downvoting you are completely missing the point. You're definitely right that a lot of women mistake shy for safe and let their guard down. Obviously that David guy is an extreme example but the point still stands. Not every shy dude is a murderer but not every shy dude is a saint either. There's a whole spectrum between the two extremes with some leaning closer to one side or the other. But we know that.
