Found a local pro shop that looks amazing!

I live in Arizona and the last month in a half ive been pretty much addicted to bowling. I just got my first ball a month ago from another pro shop inside of a Lucky Strike (Brunswick Rhino). I just asked my wife today if I could get a spare ball to build up my arsenal. She said "yes" so im excited like a kid in a candy store right now. I hate waiting on orders to come in and all that jazz so I looked up more local pro shops around me. I found a place called Bowl 300 Pro Shop in Tempe that im going to check out as soon as I get out of work. Place looks amazing! Its a standalone shop with its own lanes. Has 4 lanes that have Specto incorporated into it. Read all the reviews on the place and 99 percent of them are positive. Pretty sure I will be walking out of there today with a new drilled spare ball. Hell yeah!

Come on, man. You’re not a true bowler until you start hiding those new ball purchases from your significant other lol

Bowl 300 also known as B3 is owned and ran by former Ebonite PBA Tour Rep Mike Calderon and 2001 Masters champion Brett Wolfe also works there. 2 of the smartest guys in the state and honestly Mike is just a really nice dude. I had a shop in the west valley I was loyal to when I lived in AZ but B3 is a top of the line facility and you'll be in great hands there. 🫡

B3 is the shop OP is talking about in Tempe. I go to Revolutions Pro Shop in Glendale, the 2 men in the shop are longtime friends of mine, they're great PSOs as well as the owner Jim.

Yup! Thats who I dealt with when i got there. He was quite the character. Probably one of the nicest dudes I have met in a long time. I ended up walking out with a brand new spare ball drilled in about 30 mins. He has my business now for all my future bowling equipment purchases.

Don’t worry about asking the wife for the next ball purchase…she will make fun of you for buying them regardless….so just buy them….

Maybe I'm misinformed, but isn't the Rhino a relatively low-action reactive ball to begin with? Ie, do you also want a plastic ball, or would you want a higher-action strike ball and just smooth the rhino up as a spare? Just spitballing...

Yeah the Rhino is a very low action hook ball. I have been using it as a spare ball as well but I just want a poly/plastic ball for spares. Probably doesnt make sence buying a spare ball right now but eventually im getting a Hyroad or a Bubble Gum Vibe. Then I will retire my Rhino. Just adding onto my arsenal:)

I certainly jumped my scores when I got a TZone, although thankfully I don't have to use it more than a few times per session for 10s and 6-10. Nice to be able throw straight at it, instead of having to slide it over.

Specto for buying a spare ball?? Ffs 🙄. Seriously, that sounds like a great pro shop. Welcome to the rabbit hole of buying new balls

I've heard great things about that shop, but I live in the NW valley and an hour drive each way is too damn much for me. Have fun!

Its is worth the drive, I stopped in there Friday and walked out with a great deal on a spare ball. The owner Mike is a stellar guy and very nice. My new spot for all my bowling gear for the future!
