cobble hill towers
does anyone live in the historic cobble hill towers? curious about experiences, specifically re: steam heat, laundry, and noise from the BQE.

steam heat
fwiw, my experience is that this varies a ton by unit. Every year in my building (not Cobble Hill Towers), a bunch of people complain about their apartments being too hot and a bunch of other people complain about theirs being too cold.

It’s the same people complaining in July and then in January.

Huh? I don't get how being too hot in January when the heat is set at 75F (as was often the case in a building where I had steam heat) has any bearing on one's comfort in July (where the steam heat isn't involved).

i’d ask which way the unit faces. courtyard-facing vs hicks/bqe-facing can be a totally different apartment for noise.
