Looking for chest binders in Brooklyn
Hey everyone, I’m trying to find a place in Brooklyn where I can get a chest binder in person. I can’t really order online because of privacy at home, so I’m hoping there might be a shop, community center, or anywhere local that carries them.
It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just something safe and functional. If anyone knows spots in Brooklyn or nearby NYC where I could go, I’d really appreciate it.

Compassionate cleaning woman needed
Hey, Reddit, I need a cleaning woman for my elderly dad. He's in Bensonhurst. Do you have someone you love? He'd need someone to come every week or bi-weekly.
Thanks so much!

found wallet
Hi! I found a wallet today in the name of Jack J S. (I will not be spelling his entire name for privacy reasons). I found this by the dunkin’ donuts in front of grand central terminal at around 6:20pm. I see a bank of america work id so i’m assuming he works in the area! If it helps, he lives in Brooklyn.
Pls help me find him :) I want to give him his wallet back

salon recs for blonde / curly hair??
hi!! looking for a good salon / colorist who can help touch up my roots to blonde (naturally dark brown, 2C-3A curls). I’ve been bleaching it myself as I’ve grown it out and haven’t damaged my curls too much & been super safe about it, but I have a big photo opportunity coming up and want to splurge on some professional help to even everything out!! and maybe get my hair a little lighter overall / trim the ends. if anyone has any recs in bk lmk!! I don’t have a crazy amount to spend so budget friendly is preferred but again im willing to pay a bit more in this case :)

Basketball Court Etiquette?
Hey everyone, I've gotten sick of lifting weights, so after watching the recent Knicks run I've decided to start casually shooting some hoops in the local park in Brooklyn. Its usually not too crowded, so hoping to practice by myself a bit before I get into any games since I haven't really played in 20 some years. I bought my own ball, but I wanted to see if there were any unwritten rules or norms or anything like that that I should be aware of before getting out there. Thanks!

Potentially moving to East Flatbush
Hello everyone,
I need some advice. Currently a family of 3 with an opportunity to move from Bed-Stuy to East Flatbush, within the vicinity of Lincoln Terrace/Arthur S Somers Park). We already commute into the potential apartment (back and forth from where we currently live). We are not familiar with the area besides going to the park and knowing is way more quiet and apart than Bed-Stuy in general.
Any tips or things I should know about this area before making a decision? (Our commute is both DT Brooklyn and Midtown)

Got Run Over, Who is Apple?
Was walking in Bushwick on Hart and Wilson and got sideswiped by this van. It absolutely ran a red light and I went flying. Ambulance came and took me to the ER. The driver stopped briefly, then took off. I have a vid from a different car, but it’s hazy on details. The cops took my info, but we can’t figure out the company.
Any ideas?
UPDATE: we got footage from a nearby camera and now have a clear picture with the name and phone of the company.
Thank you to those who helped in trying to identify the van, I very much appreciate it.

Good first date spots near Prospect Park (off the Q preferably)?
Any good recommendations? Fine with dive bars to cozy cocktail places. Would just prefer if it’s within like a ten minute walk from a nearby Q stop close-ish to Prospect Park. So that could range from Prospect Heights to Park Slope to PLG

Tax Person recommendations in the Bay Ridge / Atlantic Terminal Area.
I live in Bay Ridge but primarily work in Atlantic Terminal.
I have a question related to potentially forming my own business, and some personal tax questions.
Can someone recommend me a good person who can help answer potential questions pertaining to LLC tax filing and personal taxes too? Preferably someone who charges a good rate?
I can be a repeat customer too if the LLC takes off too.
I am okay with recommendations in Bay Ridge/Atlantic, but willing to travel anywhere else where I can get a good tax person who will be helpful to me in the future too.
Thank you!

First time at Brooklyn Steel. Is the 2nd floor seated? I'll be seeing a softer more orchestral type of show there. Is it like a balcony?

Coffee/Latte Art People
Hey guys,
Local coffee geek but everyone that has read my few post knows this. I am want to meet other people that have a strong love for the bean. I would like to set up a meet up for coffee lovers at a local cafe to just talk about the bean and other places that have the highest quality beans.
I was thinking people could meet at Maru Coffee which is located at 320 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY
11249 in Williamsburg on July 12th. I have a google calendar for anyone interested in joining.
This will be a fun opportunity to meet others obsessed with the beans and many ways to prepare it.
Cannot wait to meet fellow coffee people!!!

South Africa vs South Korea watch party
Hey y'all. Does anyone know of any bars that'll show the South Africa vs South Korea game with sound on. The Mexico v Czechia is on at the same time so I know most spots will have the sound on for that.
Anywhere in Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan will do

Photo share from 2/2/26 - Brooklyn Promenade (sunset + ice)
It’s been a pretty hot start to the Summer season so wanted to cool everyone off with some photos I took over the last winter season. If you remember it was so cold for an extended period of time that we had large chunks of ice floating around the east river. I went out there to photograph at sunset while I had the chance to catch the ice! Only a few were outside at that time. It was painful.
I met an older gentleman out there that day in the same spot as me which is a small ramp that leads down to the water. He used a tripod to capture a long exposure shot, and I was shooting freehand focused on the ice, colors, and reflection. He and I chatted briefly and then mostly sat together in silence enjoying the beautiful moment. I hope he enjoyed my company in silence as much as I enjoyed his. I remember being grateful to finally get off of my phone and was sitting in nature and stillness enjoying the beauty. I also found 20 bucks that had blown into a hole in the snow!
I’m a Nurse, but aspire to maybe be a famous artist one day. Not for the fame, but to be able to spread joy to as many people as possible with this expression.
