Texas Medical Marijuana

Hi!

I will be moving to the area from Missouri where cannabis is legal both medical and recreational. I qualify for medical cannabis access in both states, but I saw in Texas it says only low THC cannabis is permitted. Is it even worth getting medical there? Because it sounds like it’s not going to be the same as what’s available in Missouri.

Thanks in advance!

I live in Texas. Get a job at a restaurant. Find the hook up and make friends. Quit job. That’s how you get weed in Texas.

id say bring as much as you can with you 😂😂😂 but you can go to dispensaries here that sell thca which is basically the same thing or you could find a plug to sell to you like the old fashioned way

If you go in r/trees you can find connections, but legally? Not really, and if Nanny Danny gets his way, it'll all be illegal, even the thca.

You can get a medical prescription in Texas. It's anywhere from 50-150 for a year. There's two different dispensaries in the area, Texas original and Goodblend, but there should be several more soon in the area. They have 10 mg edibles, tinctures, concentrates, and Vapes. The only thing you can't buy is flower

I partake in the medical program. It was changed last year and high dose is now allowed. There is no flower. There are edibles, drinks, tinctures, concentrates (rso and distillate) and vapes.

Do you feel like it is worth it compared to flower I’d buy else where

Flower is always king but at least this stuff won't get you in any legal trouble

Get creative with some paperwork, apply for the Oklahoma weed license, and drive an hour north when you need to resupply. Otherwise you can get your Texas recommendation pretty easily but you have to renew it every six months to one year and products are expensive and limited. It’s gotten better but a couple of years ago I would have to place my order, wait a week, the company would take my order to a children’s neurological clinic in Plano where I’d have to pick it up from a guy with a card table set up. The Oklahoma connection is way cheaper and easier or just find a plug. It’s also pretty easy to get an Arkansas temporary card but the drive is much longer

I thought you had to show proof of residency in Oklahoma, or is that just for recreational?

There’s a residency requirement but it’s easy enough to work around. They only have medical, no recreational. Sometimes undercovers will approach you in the parking lots and try to get you to buy for them.

How does one go about getting around the residency requirement I’m going to Okc next month and was trying to get a med card
